French Beach Provincial Park is within 2 K, and Juan de Fuca Provincial Park, China Beach, Sombrio Beach, Sandcut Beach, Port Renfrew, Sooke and Victoria are all with in 30 to 60 K drive.

No smoking, 12 stairs to lower unit, 60 stairs to beach, not suitable for people with mobility issues or children under 10, minimum age is 25, car required to drive to shopping and destinations

There are 2 other condos on the first floor and are all self contained with bathrooms and kitchens, there may be an opportunity to rent more space.

BEACH NOTE- the wet sand beach is only available about during spring/summer low tides, it changes time from 6 am to noon on different days.
There are usually no low tides in the afternoon.
When the wet sand is exposed there is about 50 more feet underwater sand to about waist deep, you may walk for 1,000 feet some days.
When tides are higher you can still go down the steps and walk around and over large rocks to the water.

With low or high tides there is always danger if the waves are large.
Children can’t be left alone at the water, stairs or cliffs.

Remember there are 60 steps to the beach so it’s hard to carry kayaks or canoes down.

2 k away you have French Beach Park with beach exposed all day.

The ferry is very busy so please make reservations.

Parties and events

Sorry, we are not allowed by zoning, insurance or booking sites to host larger groups of people on the property.

We can suggest booking the group camping site at French Beach Provincial Park 1 kilometer from us.
It can accommodate 45 travelers in tents or trailers and it has a covered area with picnic table seating for 30. There is a nice walkway to the ocean.

Two kilometers from us we have Shiley Community Hall which also has a covered picnic area and the hall has capacity for 65 persons, washrooms, seating, stage area and a kitchen.
It is priced very reasonably but does not allow alcohol to be served.
It is next to our famous Shirley Delicious Café for catering, coffee, ice cream sandwiches and shopping.
