The Space:
Inside, House of Views is all about light, flow, and that constant reminder that you are, in fact, at the beach. Expansive windows pull the Gulf into the living spaces, while an open-concept layout keeps everyone connected—whether you’re cooking, lounging, or just pausing to admire the ever-changing sky.
The kitchen is fully equipped and dressed to impress, ready for everything from quick breakfasts before a beach run to full-scale dinners with a salty breeze drifting in. The living area invites you to sink in and stay awhile, with comfortable seating and front-row views of sunrises, sunsets, and the occasional dolphin cameo.
Each bedroom offers a relaxing retreat, while the spacious deck invites you to soak in sunrises, sunsets, and salty breezes.

Stavanger Beach feels like Galveston’s quieter, better-kept secret—a stretch where the soundtrack is more waves and seabirds than crowds and traffic. Located on the far West End, this small neighborhood is known for its tranquil atmosphere and large, modern beach homes. Unlike the bustling Seawall area, this stretch of coastline offers a quiet oasis primarily focused on residential relaxation and family-friendly beach activities.
Getting Around:
While Stavanger Beach itself is a residential area, it is within a short driving distance of major Galveston landmarks:
~ Outdoor Adventure: Galveston Island State Park (approx. 5 miles away) offers hiking, bird watching, and fishing.
~ Family Fun: Tourist favorites like Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark are about 18 miles to the east.
~ Dining & History: The Strand Historic District, known for its unique shopping and Victorian architecture, is easily accessible for a day trip.

Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!
979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.
After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to their terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. Please reference the site where you originally reserved your stay.
