Super clean and fully furnished with everything you will need in this highly updated 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom home. Very modern kitchen with granite, mosaic tile and all the amenities you can image. Also sit in the sun filled dining space with great views. Relax on the balcony and have the closest seats to see the entire Del Mar Horse Racetrack as well a view of the Del Mar beach and amazing Sunsets. Walk or ride our bikes to the beach or to downtown Solana Beach and Del Mar shopping, dining and entertainment.


This is a perfect location and very private. You have the entire 1379 sqft townhome and no units above or below. Easy access private entrance and parking just steps outside your door for that super convenient ease and no worry for your stay here.

My family and I stayed here which was about a mile and a half away from family. Perfect location! The place definitely met and exceeded our expectations. The owner was responsive and very easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our family of four!

Doug's place is wonderful! It was absolutely perfect for my husband, myself, our two kiddos and our husky. You cannot beat the location. We could walk to the beach (14 min walk) and walk to the fairgrounds as well. We were lucky to have the SD County fair happening at the time we stayed. The townhouse was very well stocked with everything one would need. The welcome basket was so nice. Kids got into the snacks immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

Summer vacation

We arrived later than we expected but when we made it we felt at home. We had a great view and the home was very clean. Rozelyn gave us so many recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. We are hoping to visit again!

This unit was very special. Loved everything. Easy to find, undercover parking was only steps away and chef’s kitchen. The unit was clean, bigger than in photos, and thoughtfully stocked. Great whitewater views!

Perfect in every way

This is a gorgeously decorated and well appointed condo that was plenty spacious for my husband and me. Doug and Sandie know how to make guests feel welcomed with a lovely welcome basket of treats to clear and concise directions on anything we needed or wanted to know. They were excellent in communicating with us. We would definitely stay again in this highly sought property.

Excellent all the way around

Location with ocean view, a few minutes from the interstate, beach, eateries and yet, quiet neighborhood. Walked-in to a wonderful welcome basket. All home necessities were there, plus beach chairs, bikes, boogie boards. Very clean. Just perfect! Thank you!

Wonderful vacation home and stay

We can't rave enough about this VRBO rental. The place is stunning and extremely well outfitted and has every amenity you can think of, but still retains the vacation vibe. The hosts were wonderful and the welcoming touches above and beyond. We were surprised at the trouble they went to to provide a tasteful warm holiday welcome. Location superb, and great to be able to park right at the unit and not have others above or below us! We definitely hope to be back! Thank you so much.

Perfect Family Getaway

We loved this little gem right in the heart of it all! Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and the beach! We loved its location to Encinitas and Torrey Pines as well. The space in the condo is large and cozy! We enjoyed down time watching shows in the spacious living room, and also loved our morning runs from the condo into town and beyond! Wished the pool was heated, but we made due with the beach instead. Rozelyn was a wonderful host! We loved the welcome gift and great communication throughout the booking, stay and checkout! Will definitely be back!

Hi Kim, thank you for taking the time to make a comment. I wish the pool was heated year round too. Right now it is only heated from 3/1 to 11/30. Usually the air is too cool or rainy season so hence the heating time. I'm so glad you enjoyed the condo and what North County has to offer. I look forward to your return soon. Kind regards

Beautiful, well-equipped home.

My family really enjoyed our stay in Doug’s home. It was beautifully furnished, a wonderful location with easy access to multiple highways, gorgeous ocean views and was well stocked and equipped. Anything you will need to feel at home was considered and placed in the home for your use. It truly felt like we were in a home, not just a blank empty space designed for renters only. Communication with Doug was easy and fast. I was never left with an outstanding question. I highly recommend this home for your next getaway!

Amazing!

Our family of four (including a 4 and 7 year old) had a wonderful stay here. It was exactly as advertised- the home was spacious and well-appointed but comfortable for small kids to play in. The balcony was an added plus with the amazing fireworks show on the 4th! It was truly breathtaking. My kids loved the pool and the beach gear, and with Fletcher’s Cove around the corner we really had the true beach vacation experience! Added pluses- the kitchen was so lovely I actually wanted to cook every day (this never happens) and the owner went over and above to be helpful and accessible. We’ve been to San Diego several times over recent years, but hands down, this was our best vacation ever thanks in large part to our stay here!

Truly a Home Away From Home!

We could not have asked for a better place to retreat to during Spring Break with our girls. Upon arriving at the condo we discovered a wonderful basket of goodies (and wine : ) that Rozelyn had left for us. Such a treat! The condo was immaculate, clean, and cozy (pictures are a true representation of what you will experience in person). We enjoyed the views of the Del Mar Racetrack and ocean from the dining table, balcony, and living room. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy a simple breakfast to cooking a full dinner (BBQ works great). The beds were heavenly and the bedrooms are very spacious. Rozelyn made it easy for us to find local restaurants that are now favorites of ours to return to on our next vacation to Del Mar. It is perfectly situated close to shopping (Whole Foods). Restaurants and the beach are within walking distance, as well as, wonderful walking trails with sunset views. I highly recommend this for any one looking for a relaxing getaway with all the ammenities you enjoy at home.

Amazing home close to everything

This was one of the nicest VRBO my husband and I have ever stayed at. It is nicely updated and the decor is adorable and beachy. Exceedingly clean. The entire process was stress free and easy. Keyless entry made check in/out a breeze. Good water pressure, nice towels and linens, washer that gets your clothes clean, lots of dishware, sharp knives, and little extras not usually at properties, like plastic baggies, throws to cover up on the couch and a welcome basket with snacks. Nice ocean view. 10 minute walk to the beach (down/up a big hill) with amazing sunsets every night. Temperature easily managed by either opening windows or turning on wall AC units. Easy access to highways and shopping. Recommend the Fish Market for reasonably priced dinner. Overall the experience was awesome and this unit is worth the price. Thank you!!

Beach House

The beach house was very clean, very accommodating, and was well stocked. The property was well organized and very comfortable. Only thing that didn’t work was the fireplace and we didn’t know until we got here. Would’ve worked to have known ahead of time. I thought some of the communication through VRBO was a little confusing to understand for me. I’m not great at technology. But being able to contact Doug directly was good.

Beautiful Solana Beach House

The House is very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The rental process was easy Doug responded to all communications very quickly. The house has everything you need to have an amazing time.

Amazing Stay

We loved our stay. It exceeded expectations in every category. We were going to a wedding at the L’auberge Del Mar and this property was close by. Check in was seamless and the host was always available. Plenty of room for the 4 of us and had everything you need. Extremely clean and comfortable. If I was to stay in the area again, I’d without a doubt reserve this property. Thank you!

this place is fantastic!

everything was exactly as described. Welcome basket was a nice suprise and this place had so many little extras that are not normally included. Will definitly stay in this exact same unit the next time we're in the area - could not have fit our needs/wants any better.
