This cozy cabin that I have owned for over 20 years is a wonderful example of late-20th-century modern vacation home design. Tastefully decorated and carefully updated, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at every turn.

- 3 Bedrooms, 2 baths on main level, full bath in basement. Bedrooms feature a queen bed in the master, a queen bed in the second, and twin beds in the third. A surprisingly-comfortable queen-size air mattress is available for use in the basement allowing for up to eight guests. Approximately 1,100 sq. ft. on each level
- Stainless steel appliances including French-door refrigerator with in-door water/ice (cubed and crushed)
- Glass topped electric range
- High-efficiency electric heat pump
- Boat ramp just a little over a mile away
- Quiet neighborhood with lots of privacy

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The property is very nice, peaceful, and extremely well cared for. Everything was clean and thoughtfully prepared for our arrival. The cabin had everything we needed, including fresh linens, plush towels, full kitchen supplies, and even games for entertainment. There was also a pool table, which added a fun touch to our stay.The layout was spacious with ample room to relax, and the décor was lovely and welcoming. We appreciated having Chromecast, cable, and reliable Wi-Fi, which made it easy to unwind in the evenings. The atmosphere was serene and perfect for a quiet getaway.The owner provided helpful information before our trip and was available if we needed anything, which made the experience smooth and stress-free. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we are already planning another visit.

It was great! The house was beautiful and so was the area surrounding the house. There was a lot of entertaining things to do whether you want to hang out at the lake, play pool, cards or watch a movie. It was very clean and comfortable. We definitely would like to come back again.

We had a wonderful time at the "cottage". Everything was nice, clean and well stocked with the essentials. The host was extremely nice and inviting. We were truly able to rest and relax in this home. It was very comfortable with plenty of room for pur family. We will certainly be back!

Daughter's 21st birthday

My daughter turned 21 March 16th and was looking for a getaway. So that's exactly what we did. We really appreciated and enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and can't wait until next time.

Host couldn’t be nicer or more helpful

We stayed for the month of February. I am a bass fishing enthusiast. I have fished in many places and really enjoy it. The host Doug was extremely helpful with my boat and trailer and was willing to assist putting the boat in and taking it out. Pool table and fireplace were great.I would highly recommend this property and will be back myself.Phil from NY

Relaxing getaway

This is our second time staying and it was just as great as the first time. We love staying at this house. My husband enjoyed fishing all day while I stayed and read by the fire. It was so relaxing. The hosts are so nice and the best on VRBO.

Hartwell was Awesome

Me and a buddy fished a kayak bass tourney and stayed here. Wonderful place and very good host. Highly recommend it and will return on my next trip to Lake Hartwell.

Great stay

We were very pleased with our stay. It was peaceful and quite. We enjoyed being able to sit on the dock and fish, or just to enjoy the beauty of the lake. It was a pleasure to meet Doug and to talk for a while. We hope to return some time in the future.

Great weekend on the Lake

This house was fantastic to stay at. The dock and other amenities were really fun! The owners were especially helpful with helping us park our boat. I would highly recommend this lake cabin!

Weekend Away from Atlanta

Doug, the property owner was professional, friendly and responsive. The property is located on a great section of Lake Hartwell as it's quiet and private. We loved hanging out at the boat dock and using the kayak's and floaties. The beds were comfortable, and the place was clean and exactly as pictured.

A retired Georgia Tech grad, I have the good fortune of living in the wonderful new modern-style home next door to the property where you will be staying. Together, my partner of 30+ yrs (and also a Tech grad) and I own and maintain the 10-acre tract that we call Meadmoor. Over the past 20 years we have made this our homestead, first as weekend visitors and then as permanent Hart County residents starting in 2015. We have adopted (and been adopted by) the Hart County community and intend to stay here for the remainder of our years. "The Cottage" served us well as our primary residence while we built the new house which we call the Holly Hill House.

"The Cottage" is located in a small and close-knit neighborhood of lakefront homes in the sought-after Reed Creek area, and offers more privacy than most lake homes. While it's not a large home, it is big in heart and just right for a weekend getaway. The open plan layout, with its vaulted ceiling and lots of glass, invites the outdoors in. And the large lakeside deck offers plenty of extra gathering space.
