Ocean View Steps Away from York Harbor Beach! Now booking Fall 2025!

Historic property built in 1890. This remodeled, charming vacation home is steps from York Harbor Beach and the Harbor. You simply can't stay closer to the beach. Enjoy views of the ocean from the new large second floor deck and from most rooms of this second and third floor condominium. There is plenty of space for 11 people. There is also a new, large second floor deck, sun shade, and views of the water and a new kitchen! In addition, the 3rd floor bathroom was updated in winter of 2022 to include a new walk in shower.

The location simply can't be beat!! It takes less than one minute to walk down the hill to the beach or harbor. Wander down the Cliff Walk with its spectacular views of the ocean. The Wiggly Bridge is a short walk away down Fisherman's Path, providing a lovely walk through the Steadman Woods. End your day with a family dinner at home or at one of the many nearby restaurants, many within walking distance.

Please note a Sunday turnover with a 7 day rental is required in high season typically last week of June through August.

York is a popular beach community with history, charm and accessibility. First settled in 1624 and the first incorporated city in America, the area offers a myriad of fun things to do including relaxing on the beach, fishing, sightseeing and shopping. It is home to the John Hancock Wharf and Mark Twain's summer home and is an area which still has architectural examples from the gilded age, particularly the shingle style.

There is much to do including fishing, kayaking, boating, biking, golfing, & dining in York and the surrounding communities of Kittery, Cape Neddick, Ogunquit or Portsmouth, NH. The area is known for summer theater, concerts, and the many activities in York Beach including 10 pin bowling, miniature golf, salt water taffy and homemade ice cream . There are local forts, lighthouses and historic homes. Rain or shine, there is an endless array of things to do.

Also please note this house is very close to the York Harbor Beach and parking is limited to two cars parked in tandem.
There is one Ring Doorbell at the front door to ensure the security of guests and the property.

A Dream Vacation

This rental exceeded my expectations, which were high. The space is perfect for a family gathering, with lots of bedrooms, a wonderful great room, a large and well-equipped kitchen, and a large, comfortable outdoor deck.While the house (a large unit in a multi-unit building, actually) on a fairly busy street, the noise at night was minimal, and well worth the tradeoff of being a block away from a superb beach. That beach, York Harbor Beach, is lovely for children, with a shallow slope and large sandy area. Within walking distance are the town of York Harbor, the Fisherman's Walk and the charming Wiggly Bridge. Communication with the proprietor was easy and prompt.While this rental wasn't cheap, it was worth every penny and provided the space for one of our best family vacations ever.

Wonderful stay in York Harbor

My family has visited York many times, but we never knew about the gem of York Harbor. Our stay was delightful, our house was perfectly appointed for families of all ages (in our case, ages 8 months to me, grandma), and very close to the beach. Our house had all of the amenities that anyone would need or want. Most of all, Whitney, our host was immediately and impressively responsive to our questions and needs. You will not be disappointed.

Best Spot!

We had a lovely stay! York is so beautiful and it was a perfect spot for the family to stay for our son's wedding! The host was extremely helpful and so very kind making sure we had everything we needed for the big day! There was plenty of room for the groomsmen to gather and get ready and the photographer was able to get some great pictures on the deck!

Heavenly stay by the sea

Our extended family gathered for a week long stay in this home in York. Everyone loved the house. We all went on walks along the harbor and cooked and gathered on the porch overlooking the bay. We loved our stay so much we will return next summer.

Great Extended Family Space

We had a wonderful time at this large York Harbor condo. It easily accommodated my entire family - daughter, SIL, grands, significant others, and friends. The home was clean with a lovely coastal décor and well-stocked kitchen. The beach was a very short walk away and restaurants close by. The large deck overlooking the beach gave way to great views and peaceful morning coffee. The host was terrific; readily available to answer our questions to help us settle in.

Would 100% Recommend!

We had a fantastic week in York. Whitney made the whole process so easy and was so quick to respond with any questions. The house was equipped with everything you needed for the beach and any meals you want to cook. We mainly went to York Harbor beach since it was a 2min walk but Long Sands was right around the corner if we needed a change of scenery. The house stayed cool and comfortable but there were plenty of fans just in case! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely long weekend!

This property is fantastic! Whitney was so responsive and generous, letting us check in early and making sure everything was okay. The house had everything we needed for 8 adults and 2 infants under 2- from beach towels to kitchen gear, it’s fully stocked, super clean and comfortable! We loved the big deck, grill, large dining table and quick walk to a beautiful, fairly private beach. We had a wonderful stay!

magical space in york harbor

Our family enjoyed every minute in this rental. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed to cook/serve large family meals and the dining area expansive and sunny. The living room area conducive to many long conversations and the open concept dining/living room perfect for those doing crafts on the super large dining table to be part of the conversation. The bedrooms charming and bathrooms spacious. So many glorious windows to let in ocean breezes and views! We spent lots of time on the very large front porch soaking it all in. Owners really lovely, attentive and very accessible. Highly recommend this rental!

A Wonderful Stay In York Harbor!

We had a wonderful week with the family in this light and bright beautiful condo that is within a hop, skip and a jump from Harbor Beach. The house was equipped with everything we needed for a family vacation. The deck is perfect for morning coffee and reading, and late afternoon cocktails and conversation. Whitney is the best host … very responsive to all communication and quickly addressed any needs we had. This was a family vacation we won’t forget … memories for a lifetime!

Perfect Maine experience

This home and location had everything we could want for a Maine getaway. Starting with the house...lovely, comfortable for a large group (we only had 5, but accommodates many more), large deck with ocean views. All in all the home provides a great "seaside feel". Location...Just up the street from a fantastic and relatively quiet beach with plenty of sand framed by Maine's famous rocky coastline. We brought our dog along and she enjoyed socializing with other dogs in the sand and surf (dogs allowed before 8am and after 6pm). We had one rainy day and that was perfect for visiting both Kittery and Ogunquit since both are only 10-15 minutes away. Other highlights...the drive to Nubble Lighthouse and seeing the hustle and bustle all along Short and Long Sand beaches, the beautiful cliff walk, the fisherman's walk to Wiggly Bridge and the "off the boat" lobsters. We recommend the soft shell version...a bit sweeter and you can crack them open with your hands! The hosts...Excellent! They checked in regularly to make sure we were not in need of anything and they provided a notebook full of information about the area. All in all we had a memorable time in York at this property and look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful condo in an ideal location!

House was spotlessly clean when we showed up and had all the amenities needed for a great family trip. Air conditioning made sleeping on the upper floor very comfortable and we loved all the extra blankets, beach chairs, and sand toys that were available. TV worked perfectly, as did all other appliances. The best part was that it was an easy walk right down the street to the beach - it’s a huge plus to not have to put the kiddos in the car to visit the beach! One downside is that for anyone who has mobility issues, both sets of stairs are pretty steep.
