3.5 Acres along side the river with Indoor heated pool and hut tub. Upstairs you’ll find 2 full bathrooms and 4 bedrooms.. each bedroom has a balcony! Downstairs there is the Livingroom and kitchen with all needed accessories. There is a TV (Netflix/Amazon prime friendly) and WiFi Available. There is also a pool table and a piano for you to enjoy :D
The entire property is yours to explore and enjoy (beside the garage).
Walk just a couple hundred feet to the Trinity river and fish for Trout, Steelhead, and Salmon (make sure to bring your license or purchase one at the local Trinity Fly Fish Shop), or view a variety of wildlife. Kick back on one of the covered porches or open decks and relax to the sounds of nature. You can also enjoy a nice warm fire. within couple of miles there is a groceries and a gas station If needed for last minute necessaries and wood. To conclude, there is something for everybody. Regardless of what you’re looking for, you’ll find it here. Enjoy!

My family and I had an excellent stay at this house. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The pool and the hot tub were amazing and definitely the highlight of our stay. The place is very peaceful and perfect for relaxing. We highly recommend it

This house was not as described. I gave it three stars because the neighbors were so nice and lovely and helped us a lot. Bedrooms were HOT and dark and stuffy with no AC. The upstairs bathrooms were saunas. The "spare beds" were metal cots with a thin, cheap mattress. The pool area doors were rusty and did not open, there were no plants or decorations. Just the pool and a bunch of popped toys piled in the corner. The BBQ was not a BBQ, it was a smoker, but there were no pellets or charcoal and no notes about how to use it. We spent hours trying to cook on it before the neighbor helped us. The river access left something to be desired. Overgrown and lots of weeds. The house has potential and if the description were more accurate and the price lower it could be ok. We paid a lot for the house and it was disappointing. If you are planning to stay here, do not count the extra beds as real beds unless it is for a small child. The TV and couch area was really nice.

My family of six stayed here in mid-July 2026. We initially drove past the house because the exterior didn’t resemble the listing photos. It looked much more run-down than expected.There were positives. The downstairs A/C was a lifesaver in the 90 degree heat. The kitchen is spacious, Wi-Fi easily handled two teenagers, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the interior was generally clean. We also enjoyed the quiet setting, daily visits from wild turkeys, and the pool/game room, although the game room was too hot to comfortably use.Our concerns centered on maintenance. The landscaping is full of dead plants, the front handrail is loose, the deck is heavily weathered with unstable picnic tables, and the screened porches have holes and damaged screens. The large windows shown in the listing were labeled “Do Not Open.” Upstairs fans were extremely dusty and ineffective, and some balcony railings felt loose. The pool reached about 90 on a 95 day, making it far less refreshing than expected. We would have used it daily if cooler. The biggest disappointment was river access. There is no maintained path, and thick, thorny vegetation makes reaching the water difficult, especially for anyone with mobility issues. This cabin has great potential, but it clearly needs maintenance and upkeep. As of July 2026, the listing photos no longer accurately reflect the property’s current condition. We wanted to leave an honest review so future guests know what to expect.

We stayed here over the 4th of July and had a great time. The cabin was spacious and comfortable, but the property really made it special. There is a very quick walk to a private river spot with a picnic table—simple and peaceful. Just keep in mind it sits across from a campground so it is not totally secluded. The indoor pool was a nice bonus, especially with kids, though plenty of other reviews cover that already. The location was perfect with easy access to Lewiston for food, Lewiston Lake for fishing with Pine Cove just up the road, and Trinity Lake for swimming. A great home base whether you want to relax or explore.

We loved it ! If you like to fish this is the place to be. Know one wanted to leave. Check in was easy. Property management folks were lovely . There isn’t a lot of counter space in the kitchen and we have amazing cooks in the family and they suggested a portable chopping block table in the center of this very large kitchen would be fantastic . The pool and spa another plus! So fun. We would definitely come back. Thank you

Checking in was easy, but the neighbor/manager quizzed me about the number of guests I said there were. After searching the inside of the very hot house for the Air Conditioner control, since the listing said there is AC, I waved down the manager, he said the remote is on the wall by the unit. It's a small AC in the wall of the dining room. Upstairs was like a furnace even with the fans running 24/7 and the AC going too. It cooled off outside at night so we could open the windows that had screens, but the screens are filthy so not much air was getting in. The beds in all 4 upstairs bedrooms are comfortable, but there are no murphy beds as is in the description. There are two full baths upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. There is a washer and dryer and after about 30 minutes of searching for the laundry soap I messaged Maggie (next door), no reply until Saturday morning. I was told the washer is pre-loaded with enough soap for 5 loads. What the heck! She said most people bring their own detergent. Really?? The listing was specific about knowing how many people so you could get 2 towels per person and 1 garbage bag per day. If it wasn't for the pool and hot tub, we would have left and got a hotel. No hospitality. The neighbor's dog barked every time we were in the front. We drove to Lewiston and Trinity lakes to swim for the days were were there. Check out is at 10 take all the sheets and comforters downstairs.

Not too bad

Pool, pool table, and trek to water was great for kids. Unfortunately, no DVD player and poor internet to watch TV forced the kids to play board games. The nearby market has an adjoining BBQ spot which was great for lunch. This home is very close to neighbors.

Hi Wade, thank you for your feedback. As the property up in the mountain the WiFi is not as strong as you can expect it in the Bay era, however it is still very strong. During Covid I had guests working through zoom while their kids attending school on zoom and utilizing the TV freely. I am not sure what happened during your stay but you should’ve been able to use Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Disney+ and other channels with no interference. I am happy to hear your kids enjoy the board games as well. Always looking for ways to improve so again thank you for your feedback. Best regards, Ron

Fantastic property! Pool was amazing! Rained almost everyday but it didn’t matter! Game room and hot tub were great too. I can’t say enough good things!Host was readily available for all questions.Only thing I’d change is the bbq, little dated, but it worked!Great time and we will definitely rent here again!

Great pool & grounds

We had a lot of fun at Ron’s place. The pool and hot tub are so fun. Lots of beach balls and things to play with. The hot tub took a minute to figure out but it worked great once we had the hang of it. The grounds/yard are beautiful and serene. There are decks and porches and a fire pit and you’re on the river. Just beautiful. The house itself shows its wear a bit... we didn’t mind but you should expect a few cracks in the countertop and some well used rugs. But everything worked and the kitchen was fairly well stocked. There were lots of games for the kids and we spent most of our time in the pool anyway! The WiFi worked well... pretty seamlessly actually... but I wouldn’t suggest trying to video conference on it. The TVs worked great and provided access to Hulu and Netflix which were much appreciated. We also had a couple fires in the big fireplace and it was really cozy. Just about everything here is a 5 but like I said it is a bit worn down so just make sure you have the right expectations and you’ll have a blast!

Hi Mark, I thank you for your time in writing this sincere review. It was very helpful and I will surly take all your recommendations under consideration in order to enhance future guests experience. Regarding the internet connection, with  previous guests (as well as my personal experience) were able to work/school via zoom with no  interruption (even with 12+ people utilizing the internet all at once). I invested a lot of resources in order to provide the best possible internet given the  circumstances of the property location. While I cannot guarantee that the internet will work 100% of time (just like it could happen anywhere), the general Maneger of the internet provider lives right next door and is available to assist in time of need. Please excuse me for not telling you beforehand, I will make sure to let my future guest know that. It was an honor and a pleasure to host you and your family. Great location!

We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation here mid July. Kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Pool table was fun. It was super to be so close to the river to use our stand up paddle boards for some river adventures. We had an outing to Lewiston Lake for kayaking and fly fishing which was so fun. The large outdoor yard was great for lawn games and lounging in our hammock hung between the trees. The sleeping arrangements accommodated our group fairly well except for one glitch with a mattress; host responded to our concerns. We spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the sounds and sights of nature. The large dining room table worked well for playing games and eating in the cooled dining/living room. After some experimentation we figured out which pans worked on the induction stove. Although temperatures were in the 90s while we were there, the living/dining area stayed cool with the ductless AC unit. The master bedroom also has an AC unit; the other bedrooms had fans and screened windows that helped with temps. Electricity, internet and water worked fine during our week; we did work-arounds with no cell service. All in all, it was a great place where we had a memorable family vacation.

Our family stayed over the Christmas holiday, our children are all adults doing their own things in life and we gather for the holidays each year. This property was perfect for our family, it’s got 4 good sized bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’d need to cook and bake with and includes a toaster, air fryer, coffee pot, and instant pot. There’s a washer & dryer too! The house is very well insulated and we stayed warm with just the heater on.Now to the good stuff! The views are incredible, you can see the river and gorgeous mountain views from the livingroom and upstairs bedrooms (they have balconies & two have fireplaces). There’s a smart TV with streaming and super comfortable recliner sofas in the living room, also near the fireplace and perfect for warming up next to a fire. The game room has a piano, pool table, and several games to play. The pool… it’s hands down my favorite. Ron had it heated for us to 88 and 90 degrees, we swam comfortably and had a blast with a pool all to ourselves. When we were done swimming there were several beach towels neatly hung and ready for us to use.The jacuzzi fits 4 and has jets or massage functions, loved it too! Definitely book this property. You won’t regret it. It’s the perfect place to unwind, relax, and spend uninterrupted quality time. The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful and lends to the overall experience. We left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

The kids loved the game room and indoor pool. The “murphy beds” are really fold-up cots with mattresses that you can find in the closet. It was really great that plenty of towels were provided in the pool area and the bathrooms. No AC in 3 of the upstairs rooms, which was a bit of a bummer during the day in 94 degree weather. The evening cooled down enough for the queen bed room, but the bunked room and the twin bed room stayed a bit warm all night. Otherwise, the location was beautiful, and the kids loved picking blackberries outside.

Cool location. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Pool table was nicely functional. Was a little pricy for two nights. Pool Q sticks are in really bad shape and almost not functional. Some lawn chairs would be nice. Other than that, we all had a great time.

Good place for large families to stay.

As other renters have pointed out, the property IS rustic however it was also clean. I was concerned because of another reviewer calling out spiders in the house. We found none. There is a great deal of delayed maintenance in this property. Some of the sliding doors were extremely hard to open, one of the roll up window covering next to the pool was off it's track and could not be rolled up, pool table was well past its time to replace the cushions and felt, things like that. (Ron, the cushions and felt can be replaced in about 3 hours, watch how it's done on youtube, I've done it at least twice on mine). What we did discover though was that the family staying in it was far more important than the place itself. Everyone had a great time in the pool, hot tub, fishing and surprisingly... the piano. I would have never guessed that the kids would get so much enjoyment out of the piano. Bring your own charcoal (webber) and firewood for the fireplace. There is no real master bedroom however for a rental, the two baths upstairs almost work better for 3 families than a master and a hallway bath. Things that I think would make the stay even nicer for the prices paid would be a gas bar-b-que, some wood provided for the fireplace, and get some new towels for the pool area. By all means, check out the fish hatchery where you can see the steelhead face to face. Interesting and the kids loved it. As others have said, Ron was very responsive and answered all questions. Our stay was short but the kids and everyone had a great time and memories for a lifetime.

Nice Place with plenty of Amenties

Other than a slight glitch in the check-in process the place provided everything you wold need, minus a can opener, luckily we had a camping one. The pool was nice but was showing some wear signs that should be addressed sooner than later. Overall we had a good time, having the river close by was a plus although the steelhead/salmon weren't biting, to busy spawning I guess. Would definitely recommend it to others.

No AC and Dirty - Would Not Stay Again

The listing and the property owner are not honest about the AC situation. There is a very small AC that has a filter that hadn’t been cleaned in months. Even after we cleaned the filter and had it running constantly, the downstairs temperature was 90* in the house. The upstairs was close to if not over 100* until after midnight, even with all of the windows open and fans running 24/7. When we complained to the property manager, he said he would have another AC delivered. He never did. When we told him the listing wasn’t honest, he said he didn’t say there was an AC. Ron was very quick to respond to our communication but I was really disappointed with his transparency, he seemed to want to sell us on what he would do but didn’t follow through. He said no one could predict the hot weather when in fact anyone with a weather app could. If it weren’t for the pool, we would have left immediately. We went into Redding twice and spend the day at the movies, just to escape the heat from the house. We couldn’t stay there. The cleanliness of the house was an issue. They did a good job cleaning the bathrooms (although, mold in the show curtain) and the kitchen. There were large spiders and webs everywhere. The spiders were so bad in the sunroom, none of us went in there. They were really bad on the back deck. We told Ron about them and he said he’d just had someone out and it was typical for that type of property and he couldn’t do anything about it. We have 14 acres and this isn’t true. Unfortunately Ron lives out of the country and its evident there isn’t someone invested into the upkeep of this property. The pool was the one saving grace. Even though we went during the hot month of July, the pool was very cool and refreshing. We did find scorpions in the water on two occasions, so be mindful of that. Half of the pool toys were damaged but we used the ones that weren’t. We paid extra for additional people. I’m not sure what that money goes to. There were no extra towels. When I called the property manager, she blamed Ron for not being notified, which was a little awkward. I didn’t really mind, we were just looking for more to be brought over in a reasonable time. We asked for more hand soap and she said just use the dish soap. We were not brought any additional paper products. Ron did refund us the additional cost of people to help with our dissatisfaction of the cleanliness and AC. This is a very small step up from camping.

Cabin Getaway

The first thing we noticed was that it wasn't clean other than the beds had clean linens. The bath towels had holes and stains and the windows and floors were filthy. We were given only 3 rolls of toilet paper for the house so we had to go to the store. Also who builds a house in California with NO A/C. Guess I should have done better research. If you plan on heading here, bring cleaning supplies.

Hot, but fun!

Stayed here in late August and the temperature driving through Redding was 104°, in Lewiston a balmy 96°. There are "swamp coolers" which kept the home to about 81° during the day, but it cooled off nicely at night. Unfortunately there was a wildfire West of us, so open windows wasn't an option one of the nights. Definitely sleeps 8. Beds for 3 adult couples and a bunk bed for 2 kids. Other than that, you're on basically a floor mat. Living room has a day bed and several "recliners" if you're comfortable sleeping that way. The indoor pool was a god-send with the temperatures outside. Kids had a blast in the pool, as did the adults. The river was also an option, way colder than the pool, but nice. The dam was letting out a bit more water than usual so the level was fairly high, but we felt safe along the shore. Venture 10+ feet out towards the middle of the river, though, and the current was strong. Definitely not recommended for young children. I marked 4 stars for cleanliness only because several pots/pans were dirty when we arrived. I'm sure the previous renters put them back that way, and it just wasn't caught by the cleaners. Easy to miss, but unfortunately left a bad impression. It's a "rustic" cabin, with old appliances and dated furniture, so one might expect more for the price. But you can't beat the location, and the indoor pool and hottub make up for it.

My family and I rented a cabin near by and we absolutely fell in love with the area. the crystal clear water of the River and the Lewiston lake left us in awe (I was able to watch the fish swimming). After our stay we decided to look around for houses to own in the area. This is the first and only house I saw prior to purchasing. The open space, on the river location, four bedrooms, and of course the Indoor pool left no room for doubts. This is the perfect house for me and I'm excited to share it with you!
