'The Shana Residences' es un complejo de condominios de lujo en Manuel Antonio, ubicado en medio de la exuberante selva tropical de Punta Quepos. Shana Residences # 310 tiene algunas de las mejores vistas al mar en todo el complejo y domina el área de la piscina. Our family of four had an amazing stay. The space was perfect for us and view was incredible. Vanessa was such a wonderful host whose advice helped shape our trip to be exactly what we had hoped for. Highly recommend this property!

The apartment was very spatious and had all we needed for a very pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and all the furniture was well kept snd of a high quality. The rooms were private, each with their own terrace. The shared terrace had a great view of the pool and we were regularly entertained by monkeys and sightings of toucans. Really enjoyed the Shana hotel restaurant, pool and the proximity to the private beach.

Awesome views! Great pool! Healthy home to a great beach.

Perfect place for 4 active people. We enjoyed all of the incline back from the beach, pool, and restaurant. Book a guided tour in the national park on the first day so that you can learn about the animals and birds that you will hear and see from your porches.

This is the place to stay! Clean, plenty of room, and nice view. The beds were comfortable and I loved the refrigerator had filtered water and ice maker in the door. Plus they have anything you might need-beach chairs, washer/dryer, selection of books, and Wi-Fi. The onsite restaurant has good food and the hotel staff is friendly and helpful.There are a couple of other restaurants within walking distance. The hike to the beach was short and lots to look at along the way.

Amazing

Wonderful and secluded, our condo was on the site of Hotel Shana. It had a fantastic view of the pool and the sunset over the ocean.It was well stocked and clean when we arrived. The hotel staff was so friendly and always helpful.We would certainly consider coming back to this beautiful area.

Great amenities, nice pull out couches, kitchen was stocked with basics. There is a nice grocery store close in quepos and we were able to stock up. The walk down to the beach was our favorite. Beautiful quiet beach!! We saw more nature on property than at the national park.

Disappointed in this property

From the first day, Thursday, we had no television, and the freezer was not working properly. The ice maker was totally jammed into a solid block of ice. Not working.We bought ice cream and it was nearly liquid when we went to eat it. The metal between the two doors was HOT to the touch! We contacted the concierge, we told her we needed a new refrigerator. A repairman came out and said something in the back was clogged with dirt!We did a food shop on Wednesday and when we went to make dinner on Thursday the refrigerator had frozen all our fruit ,vegetables, and other items.I can provide a list of all the food we had to discard.We reported this latest problem to the concierge on Thursday, telling her we expected to be reimbursed for food. She had us take a picture of the thermostat on the refrigerator, which we did. This was a day after the repair to the freezer.We never heard a word back as of our departure on Saturday.This was advertised as a “Luxury Condo”, we paid 6,600.00 and didn’t have TV until our vacation was half over. We didn’t have a properly functioning refrigerator/freezer for our entire stay.Also the microwave was duct taped together.We expect some compensation for our lost food, lack of properly working amenities. Also some compensation for the amount of time dealing with repairmen, technicians and reporting problems to the concierge. It was all very frustrating. Not the vacation we expected.

Memories Made

Great home base for Manuel Antonio. We stayed 5 days and had a blast! Vanessa, the concierge, arranged all of our excursions. We enjoyed the 10 in 1 excursion as well as Chorro river rafting with Amigos del Rio. We spent a morning with a wonderful guide, Mia, at the park, had masseuses come by the condo for one of the best couple’s massages ever and went on a 3/4 day fishing trip where we caught a sailfish and yellow fin tuna. We did not rent a car and found it easy to get taxis for 10-15 dollars each way. We hiked up the hill one time for breakfast at Emilio’s Cafe which I highly recommend for breakfast and dinner. They cooked our tuna for us one night and my husband said it was the best meal of his life! Keep in mind if you walk, it is very hilly and steep. You need to be in fairly good shape. We ate at Ronny’s Place, Aqua Azul, and had Chef Michael come prepare a delicious local meal one night. All meals were delicious. The beach is on a trail behind the condo and is walkable. The waves were calm and there are chairs (20) and kayaks you can rent. Boats come right out by the beach to snorkel. We didn’t snorkel, but several people said it is a great snorkel spot. The people are all friendly and helpful. Quit waiting and book this trip!

Lovely condo, accurate depiction

The condo was as advertised. It is well laid out, nicely situated, well stocked, close to beaches/adventures, restaurants and shops nearby, teeming with wildlife, great views. Kent, the manager, is responsive and professional. Restaurant and service staff are very accommodating. Only some minor criticisms including the master shower and a few maintenance issues. Other than that, we highly recommend this condo.

Amazing views

Overall our stay was good. The view and balcony were awesome. We did have some issues when we arrived. I had not received any instructions so I went to the main office at check in time and they had no idea who I was or how to handle the check in since the VRBO is not really part of the hotel. The property was not ready at check-in time but we were able to leave our luggage there while to waited. We later learned that the group prior to us had a late checkout. The property could use some updates but was functional. I didn't realize that the property did not have elevators. The property is built on the side of a cliff and can be tough to get around. Parking was available but blocked at times. Because the VRBO is private and not part of the hotel, there's confusion when using the restaurant or other amenities. We were delighted with the concierge service that was provided.

Paradise!

Our family had the most amazing time staying here! We had more than enough room and supplies for our family. The property is just as beautiful as the pictures and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The walk to the beach was beautiful and the pool was very relaxing. We saw so many monkeys, sloths, macaws and tucans around the property! All the staff was kind and helpful. We loved having dinner every night at the restaurant on the property. I want to give Kent a special thank you for being so prompt when we had a small issue when moving in. He was quick to reply and solve the issue. Vanessa (Concierge) was so sweet and helpful- She felt like a family friend and set us up with amazing drivers, tour guides and activities. Highly recommend using her for all your activities. We went during their "rainy season" but we still had plenty of sunshine but would recommend bringing a poncho or umbrella.

The property is very well maintained. The balcony overlooks the pool and the restaurant. There is a family pool as well as a adult pool which makes it nice. the only draw back is the parking situation and that wasn't really that bad. It is close to restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay! The condo is perfect for two couples. We had fun grocery shopping and cooking for a few of our meals. The kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens we have seen! And the restaurant on property was great too!

Family vacation with all the ammenities

The property was really exactly as described and pictured. Very spacious, beds were comfortable. Bathroom and gathering areas were plentiful. The views were spectacular. Check-in was easy, don't go to the hotel concierge- go directly to your condo! There is a marked parking spot to make things easier. Breakfast is not included but a grocery store (drive-able) is not far and the kitchen is well suited. It is a steep walk/hike to the beach and pool areas. The property runs a golf cart to aid some guests as needed. The beach has little sand during high-tide so helpful to check the tide schedule if that's important to you. The property is minutes away (driving, not walking) from everything in Manuel Antonio/Quepos area.

Absolutely amazing!

We just returned from the most incredible stay. We feel so fortunate to have found this place as it was perfect for our family. We had our two sons (13,15) and my mom (in her early 70s) my husband and I. The layout of the condo was perfect for us- giving us all the space we needed and more. The closets are huge and the bathrooms as well. The pictures don’t even capture how special the unit is. We enjoyed breakfast in the condo with coffee on the main balcony (there are 3) and had cocktails each evening there as well. The unit overlooks the pool so we were able to see and communicate with others in the group who were at pool. We saw a sloth right from the balcony and monkeys came each day! The wildlife and view from the balconies and bedrooms are amazing. We loved the short walk to the beach, ate at the restaurant and pool and the concierge for the unit made everything perfect. We had groceries delivered prior to our arrival and alcohol sent to the room. We had a private chef,Chris, one evening right in the condo and it was delicious! Our excursions were all planned and coordinated perfectly by the concierge and we simply had the best vacation ever! In much part due to the Shana experience and our experience with this unit. Again- we feel blessed to have found it and are already talking about returning!

Costa Rica - Pura Vida

Fantastic place to stay. The quality of the residence and amenities were great. You can't beat the view for morning coffee or evening cocktails. As a property renter myself, I appreciated the attention to small things like beach chairs, coffee and filters, full kitchen utensils and equipment, and bags for excess food or snacks. The residence is well maintained and has quality furniture throughout. Would definitely look at renting again and highly recommend to people.

Great condo with a great view

The condo looks over the pool to the jungle and the ocean beyond. The beds were all comfortable, even the pull-out. The walk to the closest beach is only 5 minutes. The nicer beach is a 20 minute walk along the road and down the trail, but it is definitely worth it. I don't recommend renting a car. The concierges for VRBO and Shana are amazing at arranging excursions. The hotel restaurant was good. We ordered groceries that were waiting for us. You can drink the water and the wifi is good. The gym is very close. The Costa Rican people are the nicest people you could hope to meet.

Absolute perfection!!!

Loved everything about our stay here. The view was epic. The unit was beautifully decorated and had nice finishes. Very spacious for a family of 4. The resort amenities were a wonderful bonus. The almost private beach was so nice! Our concierge was fabulous and took great care care of us. Everything from check in, yours and check out went smoothly. Not one single complaint except maybe the bill climbs to get around which I just considered my workout for the day so no big deal. We will definitely return! Top Notch all the way!

CR First Timers

The property is beautiful and everything as described. We were able to eat breakfast and havr coffee on the deck each morning looking at a beautiful view, lots of amazing birds, and occasional monkeys. Pool was beautiful too, walk to the beach was through the jungle so we got to see birds and scenery on the way. The beach is so nice too! A great location for exploring the country around MA and Quepos too. We would love to return someday!
