Our host communicated extremely well with us especially considering she was on vacation herself. All our needs were met. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Only neighbors we saw were deer.

Very clean, great firepit and they even provided firewood which was unexpected. Host had accidentally given access to our booking to guests staying at their other property, but refunded 10% due to our delay in being able to unpack and get settled. Very apologetic and quickly remedied the problem.

Great Getaway

Very relaxing laid back perfect size house for me and my wife. Coffee on the front porch in the morning listening to birds and enjoying the sunrise. Beds were comfortable. We can't wait to stay again.

Check-in was super easy. Entire stay was better than expected. The house was clean, fresh and had a “comfy” welcoming. Kitchen was great. Sleeping was amazing. The surrounding property delightful, full of deer, bunnies, birds. Coffee on the porch watching hummingbirds was a treat. Wonderful experience.

We had a very peaceful 4 day stay, quiet. The cottage is old but has been updated and is very comfortable, it has everything you need. It has settled so the floors are somewhat uneven so we were unable to close the bathroom door completely. The mini split ac kept the place very comfortable. Really enjoyed our coffee on the porch in the morning listening to the birds and seeing a few deer.

Beautiful quiet location

This was a great place to stay! Very well maintained and cleaned. A little tricky to find if you arrive after dark, but not a huge challenge at all. Very cute surrounding town with small businesses.

Awesome Country Getaway

My husband and I spend a lot of time traveling by motorcycle and have stayed in 50 vacation rentals. This is exactly the kind of place we look for when booking our trips; quiet, clean and comfortable. The house is nicely decorated with everything that we needed to relax at the end of the day. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to the birds and watching the fireflies. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Mars Hill.

Quiet and relaxing

Property was secluded and quiet. Very peaceful, comfortable, and clean. Enjoyed our stay. The cottage is an older rustic building with numerous upgrades, expect just a few imperfections. All in all everything good.
