Black Spruce Holler is newly updated peaceful cabin perfect for a quiet get-away or for an adventure home-base. Located 5 miles from Stone Lake and 12 miles from Hayward, BSH allows quick access to shopping, and restaurants while also giving you a place to go to enjoy a cookout and campfire in complete solitude. The two bedroom, one bathroom cabin has a three-season porch, back patio, and fire pit. The cabin is quiet and private, but close to the Whitefish Lake, Sand Lake, Stone Lake, Chippewa Flowage, & La Courte Orielles boat landings. Snomobile access to the trails is out the front door.

Great place

This is a perfect cabin for your weekend getaway. George the host was super friendly and helpful. He reached out a day prior giving us all the details on how to get to and in the cabin. He also had a lot of recommendations for the local restaurants. The cabin was very clean and well stocked and as soon as you walked in you felt right at home.

Awesome cabin in the woods

This place is just great! George, the owner, was so communicative for arrival and took a lot of care to prepare our the place during a snow storm just before the Birkie. It was SUPER clean and had everything we needed for some sleep, respite from the cold (great fire place) and a nice kitchen to make some meals and hang out with friends, Definitely can recommend!

Canberry fest repeats!

We have stayed at George's family cabin twice now and have had made many great memories! Very responsive when we had an issue with getting into the cabin. Picked up on the first ring! Very appreciative!

Exceptional, Relaxing Stay

George and Heidi are exceptional hosts. The cabin is meticulously maintained. It is spotlessly clean, well-stocked, decorated adorably, and very comfortable. George contacted me a day before our stay with helpful instructions and great local recommendations. He also checked on us and was so warm and helpful. George and Heidi also provide a super helpful local guide. The location is terrific near the many outdoor activities in the area. We had such a lovely anniversary stay and will definitely be staying at George and Heidi’s property again.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

George and Heidi's place is fantastic, they were great to work with. Very clean, fantastic selection of cooking utensils, grill and bedding. Everything you need for your getaway. Perfect cabin for ringing in a cold 2022. Thank you for opening your cabin to us, we enjoyed our time.

Perfect weekend getaway

We needed a place last minute for racing the Chequamegon Fat Tire festival. This was perfect for our needs. Nice open floor plan. Especially happy with the outdoor fire pit and the two grills. So nice to rent a place with a real Weber kettle.

Awesome place to unwind over a weekend. Great fishing nearby!

This place was Absolutely perfect for a quick weekend getaway for me, my brother, and my cousin who flew in from Denver. The property is beautiful, quiet, and has many entertainment options if you get stuck indoors during rain or something. George gave super thorough instructions on the phone before we came out and that made it a total breeze to find our way in and get ourselves situated. Super nice guy and so welcoming and gave us great advice on which lakes to check out while we were in the area. We also checked out the pizza place that they recommended in the binder, Angler's Haven which was fun and the food was great. The cabin has plenty of amenities so you feel right at home with the full kitchen and bedrooms and stuff. We loved this place and definitely want to return in the winter. Tip: if you stay out by a fire pretty late at night you'll hear a lot of loons calling. Beautiful and haunting and you could hear them echoing from all over in response to the first call.

Great cabin, great location!

We had such a great week at this cabin. George was great about giving us all the info we needed for the cabin ahead of time, and he shared some suggestions for great restaurants and activities. We did several day trips to Amnicon Falls, Copper Falls, and Brunet State Parks as well as Hayward and Bayfield—the cabin is a great central location for all. We had plenty of space for our family of four and enjoyed the great selection of kitchen equipment, grill, and campfire when we were home. Thank you!

Great Place For A Much Needed Break

This cabin is amazing! The owners really care about the integrity of the property. The furnishings were perfect. We were just 2 hard working Mom's looking for a place to relax and it was perfect. The owner's made everything easy, have a great binder that had suggestions of places to go and checked in on us. We had a marvelous weekend!!

Peaceful retreat

The owner was very responsive with anything we needed. The place was well kept and the property was very relaxing and peaceful. It was so nice to sit out back and just be at peace listening to the birds. Totally needed that. If ever in Wisconsin again definitely would stay there again.

Great family vacation

This cabin was a wonderful retreat for our family. Secluded, immaculately clean, and super comfortable. George is a wonderful host, and provided excellent communication throughout the process. He and Heidi are very proud of their property - and rightfully so!

Retreat in the woods

This is a private, quiet location and yet within 10-15 minutes of restaurants, grocery, gift shops and many lakes. The owner let us know of their immediate availability if needed, but everything was as we had hoped and more; so no need to contact owners during our stay. We'll return to this VRBO!
