OCEANFRONT Avon - Jollie Rd. - You’ll leave a piece of yourself in I LEFT MY HEART IN AVON. This home is an ocean front property with two levels of decks to see every bit of the sparkling ocean beauty on your vacation. Access the game room through its own exterior entrance, just off the home, and enjoy a game of ping pong. Exit the game room and go into the main house to enjoy down time by watching the Smart TV in the media room. You can rest easy in one of the four bedrooms, all located on the first level. A master king bedroom with a private bath and TV, the other bath is shared with a queen bedroom, king bedroom, and the bunk room with a trundle bed. The washer and dryer are conveniently located in the closet of the bunk room. Go upstairs to the beautiful open concept great room with pretty ocean views. Sink into the reclining sofa and watch TV while the ocean is just a glance away. Whip up dinner and eat on the picnic table located on the top deck and after, take a dip in the six person hot tub. Outside stairs make it easier than ever to go between levels, you can go directly up to the great room after a trip on the beach. You’ll leave your heart in Avon after staying in this home.

New for 2024: Exciting kitchen renovation including new dishwasher, oven, microwave, new countertops, and cabinets.

Great Spring Break Vacation

The property was excellent. Only thing is all the stairs, not good for older people. The house itself was as described and very clean. Wonderful view of the ocean.

Perfect stay

We loved this house! The view and walk to the beach were amazing. We enjoyed the sound of the ocean going to bed and waking up. We had a really great time.

Little Slice of Paradise in Avon

Fantastic location with beautiful views and a perfect house for a family vacation. Would highly recommend this house. Especially if you have dogs.

Great ocean front home w/amazing views.

Exactly what we wanted for family of six plus two dogs. Amazing views of the ocean from five inside bay windows plus great third floor deck. Short walk through dunes to a very quite beach. Restaurants, grocery, shops, coffee all close by.

Great ocean front gem

The house is right on dunes overlooking the ocean. The views are unobstructed and breathtaking. Coffee on the deck with the sunrise is an unforgettable experience. Walk over the dunes and you are on a huge beach with few people.

Book it!

Extremely clean, lots of little extra touches that made our stay comfortable. Everything you could need in the kitchen, extra pillows and blankets, games, etc. Great views, very comfortable furniture. One note, as with many beach homes, there are a lot of steep stairs.

Clean up and get rid of bugs

The house was not clean. We also killed some bugs. We contacted Surf and Sound about some issues we had. They said would get back to us but never did. That was on two occasions. We loved the location and will come back to Avon. But will never stay at a property that Surf and Sound handles

Excellent Layout and Location

This house was great for our family which included 2 toddlers and a dog, as well as two seniors. The main floor is open and has gorgeous windows with a view, plus a gated deck to expand the living area. All the bedrooms are on the lower floor, which works perfectly. this house worked really well for us, and we would probably stay here again (unless we can find one with an easier beach access). Avon itself has good restaurants, and the pier is a fun activity. There are playgrounds for the littles. It was a good location. Some things to note: The walk over the dune to the beach is challenging for seniors. There are almost no supplies provided in the house. You will need to bring (or shop on check in night) dish soap, dishwasher soap, paper towels, laundry soap, cooking needs (oil, spices, etc).

Nice clean house, problem with cleaning crew timing

Pleasant stay. Clean house. Wpuld have given it 5 stars if not for cleaning timing. On the day of arrival the cleaning crew arrived at 4pm. We had to wait till after 6 pm. We couldnt use the grill - it was left very dirty. On the departure day cleaning lady areived at 8 am. Yes. 2 hours BEFORE the check out time. I found her on the deck when i went to get into thw hot tub one last time. The hot tub was already draining. She was rude and told me off for asking why she was there so early in the first place. The fact that we still had 2 hours at the property "was not her problem"

Nice location, house a little rough

Good location, great ocean views. A bit of a hike over the dunes to the beach on the homes trail/path. The kitchen including the pots and pans were pretty decrepit. Needs some attention. The rest of the house was clean and functional.

I always leave my heart in Avon!

My husband have been coming to Avon for many years, usually staying down the road at one of Avon Cottages ocean front houses. This house was superior for the price as the views are outstanding! House was perfect for us two and a friend who came along this time. The downstairs den was his "man cave" when we were not out having fun because it had good wifi service for gaming. Did not really use the ping pong table room, although it was easily accessible. Hot tub was a definite plus! Thanks for a great week in Avon - already reserved for same time next year!

Outer banks return

I was finally able to return to the outer banks after many years! It was everything I was hoping for and the rental was exactly what I expected! Such an easy check in and absolutely amazing views!

Best spot on OBX

Great stay, the house was exactly as described and in the pictures! The views from the great room in upper deck are priceless and cannot be beaten!! It’s on a dead end road and has private access to the beach!! Hot tub was amazing at sunset! We had deer walking by on the sand dunes. Watching dolphins and pelicans from the upper deck was how we spent our mornings after watching the sunrise!! Avon is the perfect village on the OBX, grocery store close with quite a few local restaurants to choose from. Not overcrowded endless beaches!!

A great week away

We had a late addition of 1 adult and 1 dog onto our trip, which hit the max capacity of both humans and pets for this house. The house did feel a bit small for that number of people as 1 adult was sleeping on a couch. It would've been the perfect size for our original party of 6 adults, 2 children and 1 dog. The proximity to the beach was unbeatable and by far the best feature! It was so convenient to get down to the water in about a 4 minute walk and easily be able to walk back to grab anything you forgot to put in the cooler or bring the dog inside when she got too hot. The hot tub was a huge plus for our group since we had some not-so-great weather days! We were very pleased to see how clean it was when we arrived, and then confirmed that it's cleaned between each stay as the cleaner arrived to empty it out as we were packing our cars to leave. The house did feel a little dated, however it was perfectly functional for what we needed to be comfortable for a week away from home. Next time, I would look for a slightly more updated property, however the price point for this house was very fair and I would happily stay here again with the right size group.

Great location with an amazing view!

What a great getaway! The view was panoramic and beautiful. Dolphins everywhere and we could see them from the deck. We also rented bikes and beach chairs that were delivered to the door. The house is close enough to ride to shops and eat at the local restaurants. The house has a comfortable and cozy beach cabin feel which we like. Almost like a treehouse perched on the beach. The ping pong table/dart board game room was a bonus entertainment factor for the family. The hot tub on the 2nd deck was shaded and perfect for relaxation away from the sun. Thank you for a very enjoyable vacation!
