This is a 9200-square-foot cabin, 5 minutes outside of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. It includes 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. This house comfortably sleeps 40 people. We built this house for our family to use but we only go up a few times a year. This place is perfect for family reunions or large gatherings. It sleeps 40 people in beds but we do allow larger groups. There are plenty of couches or places to sleep. Let us know how many are in your party and we will let you know what we can do! You will not find a larger house in the area.

You will need to bring your own plates, cups, and eating utensils. However, we do have cooking utensils, pots, pans, and griddles.

Our great room is large enough to entertain 120+ people with a parking lot, tables and chairs to match. There is no better deal! Easy access all year around.

Come enjoy the famous hot pools of Lava Hot Springs any time of the year or book a few summer nights and float the river, ride ATVs, or go to the world-famous swimming pool in town. Fish, hunt, relax and invite everyone you know to come with you! We are excited to have you stay with us!

Great place for a large family gathering. Love the lift and theater room. Plenty of space to hang out together but enough room for privacy as well. Owner was very responsive and the place was well stocked! Had Great time and really enjoyed our stay.

I was going to give this place nine stars because the communication was not stellar before the stay, but after getting there, it was an 11/10! So, in my head, it ended up 10/10! The bad: I asked a question when I booked about two months before our stay, and nobody answered, and there is NO BEDDING for any bed other than queen-sized. The website does not mention that, although they did send me an email stating that a few days before our stay. It was just a pain to get everyone to bring bedding. The Good: This place is amazing, so well stocked, totally kid proof, huge, clean, well maintained, beautiful, fun, and enjoyable in every single way. The games, space, and theater room were favorites for sure. The kitchen was great to work in, and they had nearly every appliance/utensil/pot/pan/bowl/spice you could ever need. It snowed while we were there, and someone came and plowed the parking lot/driveway and shoveled the walk for us. We will absolutely stay here again! Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful cabin!

Great place for group or family gatherings!

The place was very clean and have many places for people to stay and seating for all. All the amenities you could ask for in the kitchen as well. Loved the double fridges and ovens. Will definitely stay again!

Great property for the family

We enjoyed a great Labor day weekend. Loved the big open gym, the slide, etc. Kids were happy all weekend. Adults enjoyed pickleball.

Lava with Family

This property is amazing for a large family gathering! Everyone had their own bed and plenty of bathrooms, too! Very short drive to Lava Hot Springs. It has everything you will need, except food.

After Christmas Party

We had 8 adults and 12 children. The kids loved riding their scooters on the indoor floor. Kitchen was set up to feed everyone easily. We were lucky to get snow on our arrival however the two mini vans had a hard time making it up the snowy hill. Overall we had a great time. ggreat time

Great choice for a family vacation

The weather was pretty dismal during our stay (rainy, cold and windy), so we were even more grateful for the large indoor play area at the bunkhouse. The nine grandkids (ages 0-7) were well entertained and didn't ever get bored. The layout of rooms/beds was perfect for our extended family group, as couples could have their kids in adjoining rooms with a shared bathroom. We appreciated the large open area for meal prep, and the abundance of tables and chairs. This was an ideal location for us; glad we found it, and we are already talking about when we could go back.

Family time!

This lodge was the perfect place for our family reunion. The set up allows for great family interaction along with quiet spaces. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen of any vacation rental we have ever used which makes for easy meal preparation. The location was perfect for us. It was close to all the activities in Lava Hot Springs, yet out of town where we felt the peace of the quiet countryside! I gave it 5 stars for everything except cleanliness only because the ovens could use a good cleaning. The theater room was a bonus as we could relax there after a busy day filled with activities! Thanks for sharing this great place!

Awesome Reunion Space

Great reunion space for 40 plus family members! From ages 2-70s! Every family had their own space! Plenty to do and provided in the bunkhouse. The owner was very responsive to our needs and any issues we had. Location was just a short drive into all wonderful things lava has to offer. The night star gazing and fire was awesome too! Definitely Consider this for your vacation needs!

Absolutely amazing

What a fun and convenient property! We had 30 people for a reunion, ranging in age from 5-70. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable, plenty of space to spread out, cook meals, play games, etc. The kids loved the huge open space and the giant stage! Would love to come back sometime. Thank you!

Family Holiday Fun

Great rental. Had a group of 32. Kitchen nicely stocked. Really liked the building's layout. Nice to have 2 bedrooms a bit separate from the rest. Rooms were clean and beds were good. Our grandkids loved the big open inside spaces and slide. Had enough snow outside for some sledding and the indoor pool in Lava was fun just remember to bring your own pool towels.

The lodge was everything advertised and we enjoyed having a large space and enough bedrooms to fit our family of 27. The kitchen was well stocked and made meal prep a breeze although the kitchen sinks are kind of small and so hand washing big dishes was a bit of a challenge. Upon arrival it was obvious that the place needed a good cleaning. I don't know if it just didn't get cleaned before or if it just wasn't cleaned well. There was jam smeared on the kitchen counters and several of the bathrooms were rather gross with something (toothpaste or shampoo?) smeared on a toilet seat, mold growing around shower drains, and mirrors speckled with spittle. What made matters worse, there was no cleaning supplies (spray, cleaning wipes, rags, etc.) and we had to go and buy supplies just to clean the place for our stay. The location also fell short when it came to linens. We found out a week before that there would be no bedding provided for any of the twin beds and we needed to bring our own. Something that should have been disclosed in the listing. And when we arrived there were not enough towels for everyone to shower. There were about 3 towels in each bathroom even though some of the bathrooms were connected with rooms to sleep 8. There were a few extra towels in the washroom but these were labeled as towels for taking to the river or pool. Even using these we came up short and had to share towel for showers. Overall, we wish there had been more transparency in the listing.

Lava Love

We just returned from spending 3 days at this property. We had a ball. The pics described the property perfectly. We found everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. There were so many things to do for all our young adult grandchildren and their parents. We took a pickleball net and used the marked court constantly. From a 10 year old to a 73 year old, we kept that court busy. We loved having so many tables and chairs so we had the right things for every combination of activity that we had planned. The kids and grandkids enjoyed the river, the pool and the hot pools. We loved the serene setting and even fell in love with the trains that went by each day. If we went back for our annual family getaway next year, i think everyone would be thrilled. So many nice spaces for all kinds of activities. We thank you for sharing this great family place with our family. We ended up having 24 there the whole time and a couple for just a few hours. So much fun!

Such a great place to stay! This is our 3rd time renting it and have loved it every time! Very well kept and accommodates a lot of people. Lots of appliances and spices in the kitchen which really help out. Will definitely be back.

Family reunion

Super versatile space. Everyone loved it. Make sure to bring essentials for babies (crib, highchair, toys), but otherwise there is plenty to keep everyone else occupied. Multiple family members want to return for future reunions.

Space for the whole Family

We enjoyed the space, especially the large open area (great play area for younger kids). Plenty of sitting room, kitchen well stocked, in door pickle ball space, air-conditioning. Owner’s very responsive with questions. We did run out of toilet paper and brought crock pots; because they were not on the kitchen inventory list - but the kitchen had two. Also not enough bath towels and bedding for all guests. The owners did tell us we had to bring additional bath towels and bedding for all bunk beds, so we were prepared. However, would have been nice to not have to bring those items. Also, would suggest an outside lawn area for future guests. Overall, we were pleased with the facility and it’s close proximity to Lava Hot Springs.
