Wake up, grab a cup of coffee, walk out onto the deck, watch the sunrise or grab fishing pole and throw a few casts. Sunset Lagoon is located directly on Riley’s Bay. The sheltered location means no worrying about waves or storms damaging your boat. The on-site private boat launch makes getting the boat in and out a breeze. Sunset Lagoon will not disappoint!

Put the boat in and tie up to the deck. Use the kayaks for an early morning paddle, sit on the deck while the sun sets or fire up the grill and crack open a cold one while the kids catch fish off the deck or go for a swim. You can’t beat this Door County location!

The freshly remodeled Sunset Lagoon cottage will leave you and your family wanting to come back ASAP! Located directly on Riley's Bay, this is a boaters paradise. Direct access to the water with the on site private boat launch means you can get out and go right away! It’s only a few minute boat or car ride to Haines beach or Sturgeon Bay. 3 bedrooms with a total of 6 beds means there's room for everyone. Come see our slice of paradise that we can't wait to share!

Please note - There is no washer and dryer at Sunset Lagoon.

Upon booking a “hold harmless” agreement will be emailed, it must be signed in order to stay. Failure to sign will result in you having to cancel your booking.

Our Door County vacation

Sunset Lagoon is a perfect Door County vacation cabin with a private boat launch and dock. We love to fish and spend time on the water on our boat. This was absolutely perfect set up for us along with great comunication with the property owner whenever was needed. The cabin is well maintained, clean with well equipped kitchen. There is a separate freezer for fish guts, cutting board and table. Also outside shower was a nice feature. We highly recommend to everyone, you won't be disappointed!

Great weekend getaway

Loved the home and its location. Updated, perfect for our family plus in laws. We would wake up early each morning and use the kayaks and go for a walk/to the beach. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed it very much.

Clean and comfortable!

What a lovely rental. We traveled up for our anniversary weekend, and we had a blast. Everything here is very organized and well thought out, and very clean and fresh. Having little kids at a home rental can be stressful, but Jackie and Michael have made sure that while everything is beautiful and updated, it’s also family friendly. Things I usually dislike at rentals are an uncomfortable bed and a weak shower-this house was the opposite. Great water pressure and very comfy beds for all! We especially enjoyed the ease of docking our boat right next to the house for easy water access. We highly recommend this lovely home, and appreciate the personal touches Jackie & Michael took to make this stay relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful place and location

We loved the house. It’s very nice. The location is great in the small lagoon just outside Riley’s bay. We were protected by the big waves on the lake. Fishing was fun although we didn’t catch anything we could eat. Golfing nearby and a great looped road to walk and enjoy nature. Absolutely want to come back. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

What a great stay!

Boat lunch and calm bay were awesome for access and fishing. Cabin was clean and perfect for our stay. Highly recommend staying at this cozy, nicely updated cabin!

Michael and Jackie came across this property in the Spring of 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. They had planned to be getting married and have their honeymoon during the summer of 2020, but instead they spent countless hours remodeling Sunset Lagoon to make it the beautiful get-away it is today. When it is not booked, Michael and Jackie and their family enjoy spending time up there boating, fishing, and relaxing.

Sunset Lagoon is a great get-away to relax and enjoy the views. It is especially unique due to the fact that it has its very own boat launch and the ability to moor your boat by the deck during your stay. The lagoon provides great piece of mind to know that your boat will not be damaged by rough waters. It is a family friendly cottage with a variety of activities to do while enjoying your stay.
