Bright and cozy, lovingly maintained, barn style family home. Ideal for entertaining family and friends. Open concept main area with wide planked hardwood floors, dining and living room with large stone fireplace. Spacious and well equipped kitchen with Five Star 60" commercial gas range, prep island, granite countertops, soapstone farm sink. Large TV room perfect for gathering to watch games and movies. Arranged spaces for reading, playing cards or board games. Cozy first floor bedroom connects to renovated full bath. Top floor has a master suite with King bed, TV, shower and jacuzzi tub, queen bedroom with flat screen TV and a twin guest room. Full bath in main hall. Finished basement includes 2-1/2 bedrooms and a flex room with 5 beds total recently renovated full bath, game room with vintage pool table, TV, bar and multiple plush leather couches. Fully equipped gym with treadmill, elliptical, concept rowing machine , TV and yoga mats. New 8 person, outdoor hot tub. Full laundry room.

The house that has everything @ Stratton

Two families had an amazing time here. We were aged 7 - adult. The house has plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, including great tools and cookware. Cannot say enough about this house. It was exactly what we were looking for and we hope to return.

Long Weekend Getaway

Our family of 10 had a great weekend getaway. The house was everything you would need and plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely love to stay at the house again if we plan on doing another family get away.

A stormy winter weekend

We stayed here during a crazy winter storm with winds that closed Stratton Mountain completely, but we were snug and warm in this amazing home with plenty to do!

Family NYE skip trip

The house was absolutely amazing! Spacious, clean, everything you could ask for in a family ski trip house.The house comes with literally everything you could need, for adults/kids/babies.The host was on top of everything when we had questions, and when we considered staying an extra day due to skiing conditions, she immediately offered us an extra day at a discounted rate. 10/10

Wonderful place to stay!

We had 11 people stay in the home. It was extremely clean, easy check in process and communication was great! Close to Stratton for skiiing or shopping. We went to Manchester to do some shopping. We would definitely go back!

Another wonderful stay!

This is our family's second time staying at Maryellen's property. It's a beautiful home with plenty of space for everyone. The common areas are especially nice -- pool table downstairs with a "hang out" area for the kids, hottub outdoors, living area upstairs with the awesome fireplace, and the sunroom with plenty of space to play board games, watch TV or read a book. The property is well located, near the town center, with the general store and restaurants nearby. Maryellen is a kind, highly responsive host. We'll definitely be back! Thanks, Maryellen!

A beautiful vacation home

This property is a lovely vacation home that my friends and I stayed at for a girls' weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was a spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean house for the 8 of us and Maryellen was a very helpful and responsive host.

Fantastic for ski trips!

This place really has it all. Perfect for three families, plenty of space for the kids and lots to do. Great location for Southern VT mountains; minutes from Bromley and Stratton. Hosts were super friendly and fantastic to work with. Absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay again in the future!

Amazing getaway

This home exceeded our expectations. It was perfect for our large family group of adults and kids, with the perfect cozy feel for a Vermont getaway in the woods. Everything was very clean and in great condition, the downstairs pool room and bar was an added plus. We would definitely book again!

Best stay

I recently stayed at this property for New Year's with my family and friends. I can't say enough about how perfect the house was for our stay. There was tons of space to spread out and our teens had their own private hideaway in the basement complete with a gaming system, hot tub, pool table, bedrooms and their own private bathroom! It was a perfect way to kick off 2024!!

A gem near Stratton

We were 3 families in town for skiing. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We were a short 10 min drive from the Stratton resort. The mud room helped have our ski gear organized for the next day. The hot tub was amazing a long day on the slopes. We enjoyed the multiple living and diving areas where the grown ups and kids all had enough space. The host was very responsive. We would certainly recommend the house!

Excellent! Best Thanksgiving Ever!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful home. We are a family of 11, ages 76 to 7, and this home provided everything that we needed and then some. Every room is large and even more beautiful than the pictures show… and the views!!! I can't think of a single thing that we needed to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner that was not there. The location was close to everything and yet still very private. Everyone used the hot tub, which was so much fun in the snow, and even the little ones said that they “burned a lot of calories“ in the exercise room. In all our vacations, we have never had a host as wonderful as Maryellen. Any questions, she answered immediately. She also provided so much information about things to do in the area and was specific to what we wanted. We all hated to leave, and we know that we will definitely return. Thank you, Maryellen, for our best Thanksgiving ever.

Incredible house in an amazing location

There are so many aspects of this house that we enjoyed. We loved having so much room to spread out and each do our own things, but also come together to share meals or gather around the fire pit. The house had every single thing we needed and much more! We loved the gym, the hot tub, lots of great books everywhere, and fabulous decor. The kitchen was super well-stocked and so was the laundry room. It was great to have as many towels as we could possibly need, plus shampoo and conditioner. We were also so pleased with the location. We enjoyed our visits to the nearby Stratton Snowmaking Pond for swimming and walking, the Bromley Summer Adventure activities,swimming in East Dorset Quarry, blueberry picking at Merck Forest and so much more. My granddaughter doesn’t like long car rides, so we had to find activities near the house, and there were plenty! What a fantastic trip!

Vermont 2023

We had an absolute magnificent stay at the Snow House. Maryellen is a superb host who provides a comfortable, welcoming experience for guests. Our family included our mother aged 93 all the way to a 9 year old. Everyone felt at home. Maryellen goes above and beyond to help. We just can't say enough about how much we loved our stay. We just may make this an annual family vacation destination!!

Spring skiing at Stratton

The perfect rental ski home

Our family instantly feel in love with the house and all of it’s accommodations. The house had every thing we needed and more to make our stay comfortable and fun. The homeowner went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. We are looking forward to renting the house again next year.

Fabulous house, great location

We just returned from our family trip to Vermont and this house was outstanding! It truly is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Plenty of room for everyone to gather and also spread out. Maryellen was a perfect host. We definitely plan on going back!

Beautiful home

spacious, tastefully furnished, in a quiet serene location with everything as described. We had a great winter vacation, close to Stratton and Manchester. Many places have felt like rental properties, but this one felt like a welcoming home. Loved it.

Fantastic stay at a beautiful home in the mountains!

Maryellen's home is warm and welcoming. The house itself is well appointed, stocked, furnished and equipped. There is plenty of space for a large group to spread out and relax, and there also are nice, quiet spaces to curl up with a book. The pool table and fire place were big hits with our family (as well as the gym), and the location can't be beat -- very close to Stratton and the Winhall Market, and a short drive to Manchester Village. Maryellen is a friendly, responsive host. We highly recommend this property!
