Mountain Escape with fantastic views & hot tub!

Surround yourself with the sights and sounds of nature at 4300 feet elevation in this lovely log home. Hike to the Blue Ridge Parkway from your own back door! Listen to the creek cascade down the mountain while relaxing in the hot tub on the 300 square foot deck. Mountain Escape cabin offers Satellite Wifi and is located just a couple of miles up the mountain from the quaint town of Maggie Valley. Front-wheel or 4 wheel drive highly advised. **Note - this is a mountain road, so it is steep and narrow. 1/8 of the mile is gravel road and we highly advise AWD. For reservations between Nov and March you MUST have FOUR WHEEL DRIVE and understand that it may snow and you can get snowed in!!

Great Family cabin

I can’t say enough great things! The view is amazing, beds were super comfortable, great hot tub, so many towels, and a full kitchen set up. My family had an amazing time and loved staying here. We will be back next year for another ski trip!

The cabin was everything we had hoped for and more. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It had a beautiful view. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

The cabin is very clean with all the amenities you need. Communication with the property manager was excellent. The views from the living room and deck are spectacular. Highly recommended this property! I do recommend a 4-wheel drive going up to the cabin. The road is narrow and sharp switchbacks.

Wonderful long weekend

Beautiful property that was perfect for our stay, grandson was very comfortable in upstairs bedroom. Snowed a little while we were there, was very glad we had a 4WD vehicle - no way we would have made it up and down without it in slick conditions. House was super clean and extremely well equipped, we will be back again!

A Fantastic Mountain Cabin

This mountain cabin is in a great location and has a fantastic view! We enjoyed our weekend stay and would return in a heartbeat. It has everything you need — including an outdoor fire pit, large deck, ample parking and cozy atmosphere. The owner also provides guests with a cute welcome basket and booklet with various local recommendations and attractions. My family will definitely be back for a future visit!

Good time in a private cabin

The cabin is really great! It' s located in a very private and quiet place and boasts amazing mountain views. You can enjoy the fall foliage scenery while soaking up in a hot tub! The place is spotless clean and has everything you could think of for comfortable stay. We absolutely loved the cozy interior and decorations. The owner was very responsive when we asked questions during the booking process. We would love to visit again!

Everything a Mountain Escape should be!

Loved the cabin, it had everything one would ever need, all set up, super-clean, and ready to enjoy! Easy access to Maggie Valley, with perfect mountain views, comfortable accommodations, and lots of suggestions for exploring the area. The owner is exceptional, thoughtful and very responsive. One of our favorite vacations, cannot wait to return!

Sad to leave

After a month living at this cabin I had to fight back the tears when it was time to leave. This cabin sits in the middle of a pristine spot of nature filled with butterflies, hummingbirds and elk. The only sounds that can be heard at night are the crickets and the stream far below. This oasis is a rare spot yet to be polluted by humans.

Great Mountain Escape

We had a great time staying at this property in Maggie Valley. The cabin has a great layout and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen had everything we needed, with a nice supermarket (Ingles) less than 30 mins away in Waynesville and there is a Dollar General close by in Maggie Valley. Communication with property owner was great. You will definitely want a 4wd vehicle, it was raining during our stay and there is no way we would have made it up the last bit of driveway without it. We will be coming back!

Everything was as listed. The road was actually better than I expected (and it rained one night). Lots of elk near the cabin and the view was great.

Great Second Stay!

This was our second time staying here for our Babymoon before the arrival of our first child. We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the area. The cabin is very clean and relaxing. My pregnant wife also enjoyed the welcome snacks on the kitchen counter. The fall colors and the views were amazing! Would definitely recommend.

Great Stay

We had a great stay. Kate was very helpful with any and all of our questions. The hot tub was wonderful after our days of hiking and horseback riding. It was the perfect place to stay for our son. We made some memories he will never forget!

All around perfect getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain escape for variety of reasons: breathtaking view from the porch, privacy of the house location, fairly easy access to the property, clean cabin with everything your family might need - fully equipped kitchen with all the tools you need to prep a meal or grill out, roomy hot tub, family board games, plenty of towels, toiletries and even snacks and coffee! Road to the cabin was not bad considering the mountain type roads - we had absolutely no issues driving Hyundai Santa Fe(not AWD and we visited in October, so no ice or snow on roads). Kate was very accommodating sharing tips on the family friendly activities and restaurants! The cabin was very clean, WiFi worked perfectly allowing me to work a bit at night and the house AC/heater warmed it up to the comfortable temperature for our family in no time! Speaking from prior experience renting cabins - Mountain Escape is on the top of my list now for family gatherings in beautiful Maggie Valley!

LOVE the cabin!

We had an amazing time at the cabin - it had an amazing view, was super clean (and we loved the layout), and was close to everything but far enough away & elevated enough to feel secluded. There was a snafu created by the previous guests which was handled impeccably by the team - they provided phenomenal customer service and truly care about your experience! Would stay here again in a heartbeat (would buy the place if they were selling!!!). And the road is as advertised - it gets pretty rough once you turn on 2nd Conley and is mostly gravel (all gravel if you take the 1st Conley left), but we made it up and down several times in a 2WD Hyundai Venue with only mild anxiety. AWD/4WD would definitely be preferred but it can be done.

We loved our stay here!

Maggie Valley area is what we love in our time away! We unknowingly stayed during a time of high activity of the elk herd and got some amazing videos and pictures. The views on the Blue Ridge Parkway are also phenomenal. The cabin is in a very quiet area for a perfect getaway, yet an easy drive to many nice amenities. We took a few hikes, including around Cherokee and to the lookout on Clingman’s Dome. We also had fun spending a day near Asheville.. Kate is very helpful with any questions. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Amazing cabin in the mountains!

We had an awesome time visiting the home! Everything was super clean, inviting and overall amazing! The home smelled super clean, the views were spectacular, the hot tub was hot and the fireplace was perfect after a full day exploring. You could even hear the creek down below which was an added bonus. We couldn’t of asked for a better place- I fell in love and my family fell in love with it all. We didn’t want to leave. We most certainly will be back again. A place to call home away from home. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Kate, for everything. :-)

Quite relaxing location

The house was great, it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I would recommend having an SUV to drive up to the house. The road is VERY ROUGH. We had a minivan which was OK but needed to drive really slow to not scrape the bottom.
