Nestled in the peaceful community of Crockett’s Meadow, this cabin delivers unforgettable scenery in every season. Watch elk graze at twilight, enjoy fireflies on warm summer evenings, and soak in panoramic mountain views from the expansive 16-foot porch. Rock your cares away in a porch rocker, gather around the firepit, or simply relax on the spacious wrap-around deck while breathing in the crisp mountain air.

Inside, the 1,450 sq. ft. living space blends upscale finishes with cozy mountain charm. Highlights include a striking stone gas fireplace, granite countertops, a live log beam, and a handcrafted rustic staircase—creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels both elegant and comfortable.

The cabin features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, or small groups. Two bedrooms offer plush king beds, while the third includes a comfortable queen. The primary bath features a walk-in shower, and the upstairs bath includes a shower/tub combination.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! Norma was amazing to work with, so helpful, friendly, and responsive, which made the entire experience seamless. The location could not be better: super close to Cataloochee Ski Area, making ski days incredibly easy.The neighborhood was charming, quiet, and peaceful, and the cabin itself was spotless, beautifully appointed, and so welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. We loved that it was dog-friendly, and the setting was perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes.This cabin is an ideal choice for anyone wanting a cozy, clean, and convenient place near Cataloochee. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it!

Excellent location and the Elk were our welcoming committee! We loved the quiet community and the easy access to everything Maggie Valley has to offer! The cabin was cozy and was perfect for our family vacation! The host, Norma Rae was great! We look forward to our next trip already!

Loved this place! It was clean and the host was perfect! I reached out to her a few times, and I was amazed that she replied so quickly each time!!! Perfect location. Minutes away from Waynesville. Cherokee and Bryson City were not far away at all. Very quiet neighborhood. Had the pleasure of seeing an elk right in the yard (of course we viewed him from a safe distance). We loved sitting on the porch and looking up at the mountains. It was so peaceful. I would definitely stay here again! The host was perfect, as well as the house!

The cabin was adequately equipped. Communicating with owner was easy and any concerns were solved quickly. The poarch was wonderful for elk watching. The cabin wax clean and the fireplace really produced heat. Cozy.

Amazing! The cabin was extremely clean, comfortable for 6 adults and had a beautiful view. Norma was very helpful and quick to respond to my messages. We all loved seeing the elks, ground-hogs, chipmunks, hummingbirds and even one skunk. We truly didn't want to leave. We definitely will come back again.

Cabin was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Location was close to Cherokee, Waynsville and Asheville.There are a lot of new cabins being built so not many open fields and the Elk did not come close to cabin but there was a farm next to neighborhood where they would come every evening to graze and we would drive over there to watch them.Norma was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had about the property or area. Cabin is very spacious and perfect for a family vacation!

Could not have been better. Property was even better than expected. I spent time talking to and getting to know the neighbors, all very nice people. Spectacular views yet close to everything we needed, even saw an elk walking across the street. Communication with the owner was second to none. She replied promptly to every question, supplied area information, no detail left undone.

Quiet Getaway

We were looking for quiet tranquility with a view. Even though you have neighbors everyone is friendly and respects your privacy. Cabin is very well appointed and exceptionally clean. However the killer is the outside deck. Even when it rains you have plenty of cover to sit it out. We did not try out the fire pit because we were too lazy. Definitely a cabin I would return too many times.

There's nothing like a newly built home. While I think it is gorgeous, what can be better than the Elk that often wonder the neighborhood and graze right off of the back deck.

I've been in the vacation rental business for close to ten years. I feel that I have learned what guests need and want and we strive to offer a great experience. This is the 4th home that we've added to The Linger Longer in NC chain.
With also being a licensed Realtor, I think I'm fairly good at purchasing unique properties that others will enjoy. As they say.... LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
