Pros-staff was very friendly attentive and helpful. Housekeeping was wonderful. Location is great. The pool is heated. The full size fridge and sink are nice. Good size space for the price. Cons- the elevator was broken for part of our stay and we were on the 4th floor. We had to carry all of our luggage up 4 flights of stairs after a 12 hour drive to get there. The beds were not comfortable. Very hard, the mattresses felt old.

Phillies Spring Training and Beach vacation

This Clearwater Beach condo was perfect for 2 people. It was very clean and well equipped…we noticed and loved the improvements since our last stay in 2023. The privacy of the end unit is great. Good location…easy walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. The front desk and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay here!

great stay.. floors were really dirty. if walking barefoot they were black, I did tell front desk to clean. no shower curtain and lights bulbs were out.. no-one cleaned this room before us..

Great Stay in Clearwater Beach

We had a great stay at pelican 429! The location is close to the beach and a ton of good restaurants and stores. The place was clean upon arrival, and the housekeepers did a great job at maintaining cleanliness during our stay. Staff was accommodating and let us check in early. We would stay again!

Sun, Fun and Phillies baseball getaway

This Clearwater Beach unit was a very clean room and the perfect size for 2 people. We loved the privacy of the end unit on the top floor, which was especially nice when sitting out on the patio. It was a great location. Easy walk to the beach and to many restaurants,stores and other activities. There was a nice, clean pool. The hotel management was very friendly and accomodating. Housekeeping had a great system for exchanging towels and providing additional toiletries. We would definitely stay at this unit again!

Great kitchenette

Only place my family has ever stayed with items to take to the beach, beach cooler, chairs, totes etc. and the suite had 2 TVs and games for kids. Will stay again!

We had 2 adults and 3 kids , the hotel was everything we needed in a great location. Close to the beach and the pool is great ! Thanks for having us , we’ll be back !

Great location

What a wonderful mother daughter getaway! This was our first time to Clearwater…. We will be back! Everything within walking distance and the beach just a 4 minute walk. I would definitely stay in this condo again.

Great location

Our group of 3 ladies needed a getaway from the cold. We stayed 5 nights. The location is amazing. Very walkable to great restaurants and the ocean. The unit is updated and very clean.

Dont Stay Here! They have a Ant Infestation Problem

We stayed here dates 9/26-9/28 we were paid through 9/30 however when we returned on our 2nd day there were ants crawling on the walls & floor. When we advised the front office we will be leaving the resort, they offered us a can of bug spray or move to another room. We are not comfortable staying in a facility that has bugs, we don't want to take them home with us, as I'm sure you don't either. Yes the resort was close to the beach, yes they provided plenty of towels, and yes the front office people were nice until our issue. Then we found the office door locked, when we tried to talk to the manager when I tried to call the manager the next day as advised by the VRBO owner he was not available and never returned my call. The building is in desperate need of upgrades, the door to our room didn't seem to close all the way there was a large gap between the door and frame, almost like the door was too small. We were very disappointed with our stay. If you don't mind ants crawling around, sure stay here but I work too hard for my money to sleep in a place where they have a issue with pests.

Good experience

First time in Clearwater and this location was perfect! We were in walking distance of everything. The view was really nice, so close to the beach and places to eat! The place was very clean and house keeping always got us towels so quickly. Front desk people in the lobby were very friendly. Overall, a very good experience!

Great location but needs updating

Location - 5 stars!!! The location of this hotel is its biggest selling point! It is within walking distance of the beach and several different restaurants. It's about a 10 minute walk from the pier and 5 minutes to the beach. 2. The Pool - Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed it too after coming back from the beach! There were lots of floats and pool toys for everyone to enjoy and they had tables with chairs and umbrellas. Now the not so great: 1. Overall condition - this hotel is in desperate need of some updates and renovations. Our room was pretty bad and the bathroom just disgusting. The shower head and tiles had mold all over. The tub was rusting and it appeared as if they just painted over it to try and disguise it. The vending machines looked like they on their last leg as we and there was only one ice machine that we saw which was on the first floor. We were on the 4th floor so it was quite a hike. 2. The hospitality - this one is rough as we had a negative experience followed by a positive one. We arrived for check-in at 2:51pm and check-in is at 3. I understand we were slightly early, however, not by anything significant. We were told they were not prepared for an early check in and literally made us stand there for 9 minutes and then let us go to our room. On the other hand, when we checked out, we were waiting for our ride to the airport to arrive. My daughter was hot and asked for some water. I went into the office to look for some and didn't see any. It appeared the manager was in the lobby and noticed me looking around. He asked what I needed and then had one of their employees go grab 2 bottles of water for us. I thought that was very kind of him. Overall, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay on vacation and don't care about the conditions of the hotel, stay here. If you are looking for something a little cleaner, I would stay elsewhere.

I would rent from here again. They were all so friendly n the pool n room was clean. Stores n food market was in walking distance n beach was close. The pier 60 boardwalk was a mile up the road so all in walking distance.

Perfect Location

I would stay here again as the location was perfect with the beach just a couple blocks away. The front desk staff was very helpful and for the most part the room was very nice. There were only a couple of maintenance items that need to be taken care of. 1. The front window has a broken piece of shade. This was awkward as people could see in and with the bathroom sink and the bedroom in line with the window without a door to close I felt exposed. 2. A small floor fan provided was VERY dusty and would not rotate. 3. Right faucet on sink is not attached to counter. I sent these and a couple other small items to the owner as they are easily fixed and didn't affect our stay very much. Thanks for a great stay. Hope to be back soon.

Decent family rental

Best unit in the complex. First time in Clearwater Beach- beach is beautiful but so so crowded and the streets full of people with their radios blaring/swearing/ pot - not the atmosphere I enjoy but it was better during the week. It didn't seem to be the spring break kids but more like locals 20 something's. The only incident that was out of control happened in the middle of the night- the security guard on property was lazy and inattentive at best- not the fault of the owner of this property but definitely something to ask about. If I ever returned I would absolutely stay in this unit as it was very quiet, roomy and updated. Restaurants galore- lots of choices of quieter beaches nearby, plenty to do- pool was warm and enjoyable. Decent value.

Headed to Clearwater Beach? Stay here!

I am very happy I chose to stay at this property. First, the photos were 100% accurate. I was traveling during Spring Break which didn't register with me as I was searching for accommodations so it was difficult to find something. This place had every amenity I needed! Easy check-in and check-out process, plenty of parking on the property, very comfortable bed (there are 2), great layout, simple, AC worked great, and a really nice ocean view from the front door! Walking distance to beaches, shops and restaurants (and a convenience store!) Also, the room was clean, well-lit and the property was very quiet. The property manager answered any questions I had before, during and after my stay very quickly and was always courteous and thorough (that's rare!) I will definitely stay here again when I head back to Florida! Thank you!
