Perfect Cozy Cottage on the shores of Lake Champlain

This cottage is simple but fully functional. It has a front screened porch, a kitchenette with stove and small refrigerator.

There are two bedrooms. The first bedroom has double bed , the second has a bunk bed with double bed on bottom and twin on top. The bedrooms share one bathroom. There is a shower as well.

There is a gas grill available as well as picnic table and a fire pit to enjoy the amazing sunsets that Carry Bay has to offer.

It you are bringing a boat there is a boat launch and boat dock with power.

If you are looking to just relax, fish or take in the sights the Champlain Islands have to offer, you might find this to be just the right place.

Perfect Family Cottage

What a wonderful time we had at this little cottage. Chris and Larry were the perfect hosts! The fishing was fantastic. My family and I would like to thank Chris and Larry and hopefully we will be back to see you again!

Nice quiet stay

I enjoyed my vacation here. Fishing was pretty good and dock made for convenient access. Boat ramp is just a hundred yards away if that.

Cute cottage on the bay.

We truly enjoyed our 7 day stay at this location.The sunsets on the lake were beautiful. The area is very peaceful and quite. It's just a short ride to local stores, farm markets, deli and restaurants. Our host Chris, her husband and son were so helpful. The cottage was clean and well equipt with what you would need.

Cottage on Carry Bay

This was our 2nd time staying at the Cottages on Carry Bay and we enjoyed it as much this time as last year. Always clean and Chris is awesome as a host. The views are beautiful and they provide kayaks. It is very convenient to everything on the Island. The only reason we do not give them a 5 on location is because it is right on a busy road.

Perfect!

Great place to stay! we went to go fishing and it was a good central location to the area we planned to fish. we were able to leave the boat in the water at our own private dock. everything was clean and just what we needed for our week away. Although close to the road, we didn't mind it because we were busy doing our exploring and checking out the area. Couldn't ask for better hosts and they were readily available if we had questions. Thank you Chris and Larry for the opportunity to stay at your cottage!

The cottage was very clean and cozy, the lake was beautiful, the outdoor seating was great, the bench at the end of the dock was amazing to sit and watch the beautiful wildlife and breathe the fresh lake air, and the owners are so friendly. We're already talking about going back next year! Thank you!!

Carry Bay cottages

I can’t say enough about my peaceful stay at Christine’s property on Carry Bay. I’m from VT and I returned for my 50th reunion and and family reunion. I needed some down time and this was a great spot. There is some road noise during the day but, if you sit down by the lake it’s not bad. The evenings were great. Fire pit, quiet evenings. I definitely let the stress go! I’ll be back. Thank you for a great stay.

Great little cabin

Great little cabin on the lake! It was better than we had anticipated! They had made a few improvements since the pictures, including a larger refrigerator. The view was spectacular! Chris and Larry were wonderful host and provided us with everything we needed. Chris even helped us put the double kayak in the water. The only concern we had was the busy road in front since we had a dog but that quickly went away once we there. You didn’t notice the noise and we sat outback on the lack so our pup enjoyed playing ball and swimming in the lake.

Cozy Cottage

I had a very nice time in this cottage. Chris was very welcoming and friendly. The cottage was very clean and seemed updated from the pictures! There is a full size fridge, for example. The shower was nice, and the water was hot! There is great outdoor seating in the rear with a lovely view of the water. There are comfy adirondack chairs and a picnic table. I enjoyed watching the sunset every evening. It is on the main 2-lane road on the island, but in Sept. the traffic was not too bad. On the other side of the street from the cottage, there is nothing but trees, so it was nice to listen to the insect life at night! There are a few comfy chairs on the screened in sun porch. There are also some lovely cottonwood trees in the rear, so on windy nights, you can listen to the leaves rustling in the wind. It is in a good location to get to different places. I had a nice week!

Overall happy!!

We had issues with our original cabin and the owners were quick to rectify the problem by moving us to a different and larger cabin. Most cabins are quite small, we were very happy with the cabin they moved us to. We visited in October and stayed for 12 nights, weather is unpredictable that time of the year. On the rainy days when we stayed in it would've been had to play games or work the puzzle we brought or just be comfortable in the original cabin. Thinking we would definitely go again in the summer months when you could and would want to be outside most of the time. All this being said, the owners are very kind and accommodating to any need, and the grounds are very clean, especially liked the dock access and being able to sit at lake side and see the sunsets. Absolutely beautiful area.

Beauty spot on the lake

I recommend these lovely little cottages. Take the opportunity to kayak and build a fire while taking in a sunset. Hosts are so friendly and work hard to keep a welcoming vacation spot. We stayed for 21 days. Worth every penny.

Great place

This location had everything I could ask for. I was looking to get away & be on the lake. Cabin was clean & fully stocked with everything I needed. Christine & Larry are the best!!!! They were friendly & very accommodating. They really go beyond to make you feel at home. It was like I knew them for years. I’m ready to go back already & will. I Thank You both for making my week there perfect. George

Pleasant stay

The cottage was small and simple with basic amenities. There is not a lot of storage for your items such as clothes and hygiene products. The highway noise that others spoke about in their reviews is accurate but right around 10pm it quiets right down. The beds are super comfortable!! We also had issues with the Wifi staying connected but Chris was responsive to our concern and addressed it the best she could. Kayaking on Lake Champlain was beautiful! We enjoyed our time adventuring in Vermont!

Beautiful setting

The cottage was immaculate and had lovely, soft bed linens and towels. It was obvious a lot of care went into the preparation for incoming guests. The cottage had been recently updated with modern fixtures and the Herringtons were welcoming and friendly. The views from the dock were amazing. We saw several magnificent sunsets. We had made arrangements with a family member to stay with our elderly dog while we went on vacation, but that didn't work out at the last minute. I contacted Chris and she said we were welcome to bring our dog with us. Sadly, the road noise made our dog very anxious and we had to leave on the 5th day. We enjoyed our time there.

Cosy and small place but the hosts were wonderful

If you can adapt to the Street noise, you are fine. We did after the initial surprise. The amenities are fine. Getting fresh tomatoes from the host and their general attentiveness was exceptional. A fine place for a get-away. We had access to a home nearby with family members with a big beautiful beach so swimming was easy.

Adorable cottage

The cottage is adorable! Chris has done a wonderful job utilizing every bit of space to offer as much storage and as many amenities as possible! She is also a very gracious host ~ available when needed, but gives you plenty of space to relax and do your thing!

The Perfect Spot!

Chris and Larry made us feel like family even before we got to their cabins. The accommodations are top notch and once there they could not have made sure enough that everything was ok! We will definitely be back as we felt like we had known them both for years and it was only our first two week stay. The fishing could not have been better. The neighbors on both sides of our cabin were also very nice and we shared some good conversation. Look nowhere else book your stay here now you will not be disappointed. Need I say more…… everything was perfect! Thank you so very much. Paul & Debbie
