Just a short drive from the stunning shores of Lake Michigan and a 4-minute drive from picturesque Peninsula State Park, you'll be surrounded by natural beauty and endless opportunities for outdoor adventure.

After a day of visiting the beach or exploring the local attractions, you can look forward to relaxing in the comfortable cottage. The fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the necessary appliances, makes it easy to prepare delicious meals, which you can enjoy at the dining table.

The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 adults. It is back in the woods which is very peaceful. We saw a deer our first morning. It is very centrally located in Door County. I think the longest drive we had to anything we did was about 15-20 minutes. The cottage itself is very nice. The living dining and kitchen area were all great. The bedrooms were also nice and the mattresses were comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews there is one bed in one of the upstairs bedrooms that is very high off the ground, but the other 2 were fine. The bathrooms were also fine. The laundry is in the downstairs bath and it is a little loud. They do ask that you do a load of towels before you leave. We actually did them the night before and threw the remaining towels in the wash before we left, so that was not a big deal. The fire pit outside was really nice. And it was nice to sit outside and enjoy your morning coffee. I would stay at this property again.

The property was the perfect place to getaway. It was tucked away but still close to downtown Fish Creek. Check in and check out was very easy and Jon and Lucy answered all my questions prior to and during our trip. Can’t recommend this place enough!

The only negative was having to wash all towels before leaving. I understand stripping the beds and making sure all dishes etc are clean. Just put a bit of a rush on our last day.

Weekend trip to Door County

We loved our stay at Tucked Away. The place was very clean. It’s the perfect place for a couple get away, family, or girls weekend. I have to say the bed linens were very soft and cozy! We didn’t cook but the kitchen was well stocked. Once we accidentally locked ourselves out and John was very prompt in helping us.

Spot on Door County Vibe!

Quiet property, and very charming home! We loved the patio and the fire pit! Well furnished and stocked for our needs. It was a perfect place to visit with our family, cooked a large meal and played games at the large table too. We plan to book here again. Thank you!!

Sister Weekend

The house is charming and set off a tree lined entry road. Very close to all we wanted to explore in Door County. Eclectic decor, comfortable, well kept 3 bedroom house. Beds were very comfortable. Great for us needing our on space, yet we were together! Easy check-in and the owner left clear instructions for our stay. Would recommend for your stay!

Clean and comfortable cottage

We had a lovely time at Tucked Away! It was clean and comfortable, with great design sense. Easy access to all the fun in the surrounding towns, but a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy-areas. Great little cottage, perfect for my family of 6 (40s and two toddlers, and grandparents too).

Very quiet very clean in great location.

Realy enjoyed our stay was a very nice and clean place. The only negative thing was the bedroom in the down stairs was really high. And there was no step stool or any way to help a person that is older or with any disabilities to get in to the bed. She is 5'2" and it was past her waist. We had to lift her i to the bed.

Mum and Sister’s Fall Holiday

The KipDee Cottage was the perfect place for our Fall Holiday. Just the right size for the four of us. Cozy, Comfortable, Beautifully Decorated, Great Floor Plan, Amazing Views from each room and well furnished and stocked. Tucked away nicely but so close to all the restaurants and shops which we enjoyed. We also travelled up to the ferry and back down taking in the views and the farm stands. After our outings it was nice coming home to the cottage because it did feel like home. We enjoyed a bonfire on Friday and it took all three sisters to get it going but it was worth it. LOL Our Mum had never been in a VRBO so she was so excited and enjoyed it. None of us got to enjoy the rocker recliner because she claimed that as her spot. LOL Jon and Lucy Thank You for making such a warm and cozy place for a Mum and her three daughters to make memories that will last us a life time. You are a part of those memories. Our Mum is in her 80’s and enjoys taking holidays with her girls ❤️ Door county is not new to me but it has been years since I had been there and it was nice to see not much had changed ❤️

Nice stay in Door County

Tucked Away was a perfect place for our family of five. Location was perfect for us to spend time in Fish Creek, Sister Bay, and a visit to Cave Point Park. The house was clean, comfortable, and cutely furnished/decorated. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Door County!

Property fell short on cooking amenities and issues with shower

Property was in a great location. Arrived to a paper note taped on the bathroom wall next to shower stating that the water would shoot out all over the floor because of a bad design necessitating hopping into the shower, removing the handheld shower and then turning on the water. Home smelled very, very musty and from a subsequent three way conversation with VRBO and the owner, it sounds like this has been an issue the owner has known about for some time. The oven temp was very inaccurate making it difficult to even use and the grill would not heat upon arrival. Owner replaced the propane tank and it still would not heat though it would stay lit so we couldn’t even cook a hamburger on it. Had to resort to using the stove and microwave. There is no exhaust fan above the stove which was odd. Entire property covered in weeds though that was the least of our concerns. If you expect to be able to cook, want two useable showers and don’t like musty smells, this property may not be your cup of tea. We would have preferred that these shortcomings would have been mentioned in the listing prior to renting. We would definitely not recommend.

This 2 story house is in Fish Creek close to Hands on Art (a must try). Clean and stocked with the basics. Includes a gas grill and there was ample wood for the fire pit. More outdoor seating than the pics show. Great spot to explore the Door from!

Cycling week

The 3 bedroom, 2 bath house was perfect for members of our cycling club. Everything we needed was provided, the lovely deck in the back was relaxing after a ride and there were even deer right outside the house.

Retreat in the woods

We enjoyed our stay in the “tucked away” retreat just outside of fish creek. The location makes access to so many great spots on the west side of the peninsula easily accessible. The beds are high as stated in other reviews but really probably fine for the average mobile adult though probably more challenging for young kids. The landlords were very kind. My wife lost her phone in the couch and they graciously helped us find it shortly after we had checked out!
