It may be small but carries a heavy punch! All the amenities are there and 3 couples fit just fine. The location is PERFECT for enjoying Old Town Alexandria, using as a base to visit Washington DC and just 7 minutes from National Airport. Parking was no issue and it had outdoor space to enjoy the evenings.

Great place (though a bit dated)! The dated-edness is more than compensated for by price, as well as by the walking proximity to old town Alexandria—spectacular value that way.

Steve's rental unit was clean and comfortable and in a great location. Easy walking distance to King Street and the waterfront. Off street parking was great. Always plenty of spaces for our 2 cars. We really enjoyed the sunroom too. Great space for drinks and apps before dinner. Just a few suggestions. The linens were a little lacking...There were no hand towels or washcloths, a few of those would have been appreciated. Especially in the kitchen. Also no topsheets. Not knowing if the bed covers are washed after each visit, topsheets would be much appreciated. But those small issues do not take away from the value of the house. We really enjoyed our stay.

Location, location, location! This house is so close to stores and restaurants. Very walkable area in a nice neighborhood. The place was clean and had the essentials. Would like to see some throw blankets and an info book for guests. Overall, it was a very nice stay and Steve seemed very accommodating. One suggestion - the LR leather sofa is not as comfy as hoped, but we were just a party of two so managed nicely. This is very spacious for the area and the sunroom/patio areas really add to the package. I'd rent again.

Convenient and clean

This house had everything we were looking for; two baths, laundry, private parking spot, location to Old Town. It was a little dated, but clean and comfortable. The sunroom was a bonus.

The property is conveniently located near everything Old Town has to offer and the parking was plentiful out front. The property if dated though, and could use some TLC. Looks updated from the outside but has lots of peeling paint inside and needs some grout in the bathrooms. We didn't spend much time in the property, so we were fine but others might find it lacking in decor and personal touches.

Perfect Christmas

Our family stay at this property in old town Alexandria over Christmas was absolutely wonderful. Even though the house is sandwiched between 2 Waterfall hat are under construction it was quiet and private. We loved the three levels and the little touches like the Christmas on the living room table. The pitch was excellent to set up a meal buffet table as well as playing board games. The proximity to king st was great. Not too far for a 4 year old to walk! Overall great stay. Thank you Steve!!

This was a very convenient place for our group to stay. The location was quiet, and parking was no problem. It was also decent size for the area. There were some issues with cleanliness when we arrived. We contacted the host and he was super prompt to offer to have the cleaners come back, which we appreciated. Only a few of the beds had topsheets, which we didn't love, as it wasn't clear all the blankets could have been cleaned in between. However, overall we were happy with the stay and the host was reasonably responsive.

Great Old Town Location

Great location in Alexandria. Having parking off the street was great as the street is 3 hr limit from 8am-5pm. Our favorite room was the sunroom. Great place to gather and chat when it was so hot outside. Recommended additions: mirrors in bedrooms for makeup, dressers for clothes storage, replace pillows on the beds. Overall property was perfect for our family...just a few ideas to make it even more comfortable for a family.

Amazing location, walking distance from the Metro, restaurants and the waterfront. Includes parking which is a super bonus. Clean, perfect amount of space and the owners were super responsive. My girls didn't want to leave their beds! Can't recommend highly enough!

Wonderful Girls Weekend

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend, and we had the most wonderful time! The house was so clean, cute, and quaint. Not to mention, it’s only about. 10-20 walk from anything you’d want to do on the Main Street (King Street). Would definitely recommend staying here with friends or family if you’re wanting to explore Alexandria!

Excellent Home to rent!

This four bedroom single family home is in the perfect location, close to metro stops, within walking distance to King Street and many great restaurants. A Trader Joes is two blocks away and an excellent bagel shop is half a block away. This was a girls’ trip to see the cherry tree, explore Washington and celebrate our 60th birthdays.. We felt very safe walking around Old Town Alexandra. The kitchen is fully equipped and we cooked several meal there and never felt crowded. Back enclosed porch was a wonderful gathering spot to unwind and drink wine. The beds were comfortable and there where plenty of blankets. Home was clean and comfortable, we all agree we would rent this home again.

Easy Stay

Early check in, easy parking and roomy homemade the weekend a breeze. Close shops and restaurants too! If there was a notebook of checkout procedures we missed it…may be a good add. Super tesponsive host with fast replies. We would def book again! Thanks.

Please note this guest did not stay here. our place is cleaned from top to bottom after every stay. We take pride in the cleanliness of our home. Mistakes do happen, this was a mistake on the cleaning team as the guest kept asking for discounts and changing the dates. (This guest emailed over 10 times asking for things and making changes.). After much back and forth, the changed the dates, cleaning did not show up. This guest did not end up staying here and VRBO took care of this. Not sure what type of a person would leave a 1 star review when there was a misunderstanding.

Fantastic Location - Store, Restaurants, etc. within Walking Distance

We are a family of 8 - Mom, Dad, 4 children, an infant, and our Aunt. Had a fabulous time. The neighborhood was wonderful. We walked to stores, restaurants, and the waterfront each day. The house was stocked with all the essentials and very well laid out for a family group. Really liked the separate suite in the basement. About the only 2 issues were the floors were not very clean and there is construction going on in the neighborhood, but the pros definitely outweighed the cons. Would stay here again.
