Our traditional beach cottage is in a fantastic location with great porches and easy beach access on Bladen St.

Our 4 comfortable rooms have been recently refurbished and our appliances have been updated!

Linens are not provided (pillows & comforters are) - see house manual for suggested services.

Our comfy couches and recliners in the spacious great room are a welcome cool place after fun in the sun, and our 2 decks are the perfect place to relax in the ocean breeze.

Park with a playground & YMCA (week family pass $95 includes indoor/outdoor pools!) just a few blocks away.

Very nice stay

We really enjoyed staying in the Bowman Cottage. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach, very clean, kitchen well stocked with what we needed to make our meals, comfortable beds, a new gas grill and a very well maintained home overall. We had a wonderful week and would stay again!

Great stay

This was our second time staying at the Bowman beach house. It is only two blocks from the beach and very well kept. Kitchen was stocked well with everything we needed. Would be happy staying again!

Bowman OBX Cottage

We loved our stay at Bowman Cottage. We plan to stay there again. The neighborhood was perfect. It was quiet and just a short walk to the beach.

Quiet and relaxing place to stay

The house was clean and very well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. Easy walk to the beach and Farmers Market. We will be back!

VACATION STAY WAS PERFECT!

Convenient to the beach, felt like home not some musty beach house and had plenty of space for 7 people. This is the second year in a row we have stayed at The Bowmans VRBO and we will stay again. Plenty of room, places to park and wuiet street was key!

Perfect place close to the beach

Very nice place! Five minute walk to the beach. Bathrooms are a bit small but otherwise everything is close to perfect!

A Delightful Week at the Bowman

For a beach vacation "The Bowman" has it all: 4 bedrooms split by the living room, a large central great room, a good kitchen and most importantly location! Did I mention location? Its only a 5-minute walk to the beach! The place is super clean and the host is very responsive. Five stars all around.

Third time renting this property

We have rented this home 3 time over the past 4 years. Communication with the owner is quick and responsive. Great location for the price! We love that we can have the adults on one side of the house and the teens on the other.

First OBX trip

Great property! Comfortable and clean and better than the pics! Short walk (like 2 minutes!) to the beach. Comfy beds, a lot of great space for the 5 of us (hubs and I and kids ages 20, 19 & 16) and GREAT location for shopping and attractions. Will definitely look to book here again. This place made our first trip to the OBX one well not forget. The owner was so communicative and responded to any and all questions super fast. Check in and out were a breeze.

OBX 2022

House was in a great location less than 2 blocks from the beach and on a quiet road parallel to the main road. It had 2 separate thermostats for each side of the house plus the two bathrooms were ideally located on each of the house between the bedrooms. The only issue we had was the refrigerator wasn’t turned on when we arrived so we had to keep all our food in the cooler until morning. That may have been by accident but it wasn’t a big deal considering we had a large cooler with all our food on ice

Bowman Vacation

The location was great. We all enjoyed our stay, but there were a few issues. The vents in the back master bedroom didnt work very well so the room was very warm I was forced to put the spare mattresses in the living room and some of us had to sleep on the floor There was sme construction going on next to the house and I was awakened at 7am almost every morning. The heavy equipment being used actually made the house shake so there was no sleeping in for any of us. I had inquired about the house entrance because my sister uses a walker, and was told that there were only 5 or six steps when in fact there were twice that many, making it difficult for her to enter and exit so she only left the house once during our stay. Also, the grass was quite tall in the yard so I! was very hesitant about my grandchildren playing outside.

1st time in OBX

The house is neat and clean. Basic ammenities are readily available. The house is very homey. Owner responds quick to inquiries. Location is only less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. We loved our stay and looking forward to coming back and exploring OBX more!

Week-long getaway

This is our second summer that we've traveled to OBX for our family vacation. The Bowman Cottage was perfect. The large living room and open kitchen made it great for family time and gathering. The location was ideal for accessing the beach (short walk) and visiting local attractions. We would stay here again!

Great place to stay

staying at the Bowmans cottage was more than you could ask for! It exceeded all expectations. The kitchen was absolutely adorable and made me want to bake as if I wasn’t on vacation LOL. It was a very short walk to the beach, which we had three children with us so that was very helpful! The location is perfect as far as restaurants or any entertainment goes. Sarah was very friendly and quick to respond with any questions we had! Would love to stay again!!

Well appointed, clean and comfortable

We had a wonderful week and found everything to exceed our expectations. The house was clean, furniture was comfortable and the layout worked great for us. The laundry room and outdoor shower was great and it was an easy walk to the beach. We’ll be back again!

Relaxing week at the beach

We had a really nice week at the beach partly due to the comfort and location of the house! It was a quick and easy walk to the beach, clean and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable and Sarah was a great host with very quick communication. If we come back next summer we will 100% be staying here again. Thank you, Sarah!

Great Getaway

Perfect Beach vacation home

This home was perfect for our family. The rings are setup for a large family to stay. The home is clean and has just the right amenities. A short walk to the beach, in which we preferred. We will definitely keep this home as a favorite for future OBX trips. We highly recommend this location.
