We had a great experience staying at this house in the OBX! Check in was a breeze, the host emailed all the instructions and was even nice enough to give us the opportunity to check in early. The location was absolutely perfect, we were a short distance away from most of the main attractions in the area. Dunkin was a short walk, and having the fun center a stones throw away was perfect with our kids! The house itself was excellent, and had all the things we needed for a fun week. Plenty of room, very well kept, and we had a ball playing cornhole every night! Overall I would highly recommend the house for anyone looking to spend some time in the Outer Banks.

Well maintained space. My husband and I were joined by our 3 adult children. Room for everyone comfortably. Everyone rested well! Great family vacation.

Cozy and spacious property with amazing porch near beach and sound

We chose this home because it is close to our family's house that the children have a bit outgrown, but we are SO happy we found it and hope to enjoy next year on our annual beach week. The kitchen/dining/living room space was delightfully spacious, I cooked every day and it was more than enough room for prep/cooking. The bedrooms were all lovely and the extra bed/bath downstairs is an added bonus. However - my personal favorite was the wonderful 2nd story covered porch with enough space for glass card table with 4 chairs, 3 extra chairs, and a two person swinging hammock. That sort of spacious outdoor area is quite hard to come by on OBX homes, and I can't rave about it enough. The owner was delightful and wonderfully communicative. We have a 16 month old, 5 year old, and my sister has an 8 and 10 year old - so this house truly has space for every and anything you could need. Highly recommend all around!

Wonderful Vacation

Great House for the Price

Good value for the price. It was definitely further from the beach that I had expected. Would be helpful to know it is across the highway. The owner was very responsive to all inquiries and when we were having issues with the cable Was perfect for a mini-vacation for me, a friend and three teenagers. We didn’t use the fourth bedroom and second bathroom, though, since they aren’t connected to the rest of the house.

Clean and cute

This was a really nice property! There is a lovely porch with a swing that we spent a lot of time on! The downstairs bedroom isn’t attached to the house at all (didn’t really matter since we didn’t need it anyway and could be a really nice selling point for an older teen or person who wants some privacy from the rest of the group) and neither is the second bathroom (again, not a big deal for us, but maybe other people?). The location is pretty good- it should be noted that it is diagonal to the paradise fun park which would be good if you have teens or kiddos. You do have to cross the really busy major road to walk to the beach, so I recommend crossing at the light on Helga street. It is a short walk up the street to the sound side (which is very calm water and shallow- good for littles, but not a lot of sand “beach” space to set up shop and lounge. Near a lot of really good places to eat and shop. Overall I would recommend this lovely little house. The owner is really nice and it is well kept.

Great views

Our stay was fantastic, the place was clean and had all the necessities of home. The bay side was great for taking long walks and only a short walk to the beach, crossing at traffic light is a must! Nice large porch and a big yard!

Great location, clean house, pet friendly

We enjoyed our time at this property. We only used the main part of the house, not the downstairs area, but the main house was set up well. The house is very centrally located, close to the beach and the sound, as well as a variety of restaurants. The kids liked having Dunkin’ Donuts and the arcade across the street. We loved Ashley’s coffeehouse down the road. The house was very clean and Nicole was very responsive to a couple of questions. The only little thing we didn’t love was not having a dishwasher, but overall we had a great time.

Central to all the alcohol

My wife and I enjoy checking out local brews and managed to hit up a distillery, 3 wineries, and I think 5 breweries throughout the week. Also made it to the beach here and there! Place was very nice and would have been set up well for our original group but when it dropped to just my wife and I it was still great and the owner was very responsive when we had a minor concern with the outdoor shower.

Nice home and good location

Home was very, very clean and being between the Sound for the sunsets and the ocean for the beach was perfect! Bed was comfy and house was very nicely decorated. It had everything you needed including paper products, linens, even down to the spices for cooking. Perfect rental.

Enjoyed our stay

The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood. It is well kept and stocked with cookware for your cooking. The beach is a few block walk from the cottage. We did not mind the walk. The beach is beautiful and it was not crowded. The home is in close driving distance to restaurants and food markets. I highly recommend cooking most of your meals at home. The restaurants are struggling with their service. We did support the restaurants but you need to plan for a wait or order takeout. Dog friendly is a plus. Thank you for sharing your home with my family.

We will definitely be booking again next summer!

Our experience with this property was nothing but amazing. The home was clean, kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies, plates, cups, etc. Both of my daughters fell in love with the porch swing & the hammock under the house. Even better, were the kids toys in the bedroom closet. That was the cherry on top. I loved how close it is to beach access & even local coffee shops. I couldn’t express more how happy I was with our stay. When we left my kids asked if we could live there forever. We might just have to make this our annual summer home!

Beach Week

Our son was here for beach week after his high school graduation. We wanted to be close to him and provide other children who couldn't come down for the entire week with a place to stay. We were so impressed with how well stocked it was with the conveniences of home and how centralized it was to everything. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

Great family spring break trip

This was a great little beach retreat. The house was well decorated and cozy. The deck and car ports had hammocks. The layout was great for our family of five. We enjoyed walks with our dog to the sound side park that was only a few blocks away. Across the street was an arcade and putt putt that out kids in enjoyed at least 3 nights that week. The house is centrally located to all the attractions Wright Brothers, Corolla, Jockeys Ridge, grocery stores and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

My family, friends, and I had a lovely time in the OBX. This was our first time renting a house while visiting. The house was perfect. It had plenty of room so we weren’t bumping into each other and it was close to the beach and the sound. We would definitely consider booking this house again. Thanks Nicole for being a great host!

Great for multigenerational families

We stayed her with my parents and 4 children. The separate bedroom downstairs was perfect for grandparents that may need a little space from children. We appreciated how well stocked the house was, it had everything we needed.

Great stay!

We absolutely loved this little cottage for our Thanksgiving weekend! The house is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood with an easy walk to the sound (Sunset is a must see every evening!). The house itself is nicely updated and maintained and very homey. We're already looking forward to booking it again for similar stays!
