Great location in a really nice building. The underground parking garage was nice, even though it was super expensive, considering it was off peak time and it was nearly empty. The room was very clean and cozy and was perfect for our 3 person group.

Very cute home with a theme of Black Bears. The location to the Village and slope was great. The furniture could use some serious updates and there were numerous light bulbs burnt out. Easy fixes to make it a 5 star place.

We've stayed a several different properties at Snowshoe. This one, specifically the room, wasn't our favorite. Casago was a great company to rent through! Very easy process and no issues.

This was our first stay in Rimfire. The place was fine for our needs. The sunset views were the highlight for this unit. Proximity to the slopes was good. The biggest annoyance was the check-in process. You have to go 15 minutes down the mountain to the office in order to get your room key at 4pm. Probably wouldn't have booked here if I had known in advance about this inconvenience.

Nice place, few kinks to iron out
Place was nice enough. Unfortunately, they have a very rigid checkout time that is earlier than industry standards, and they will not allow large checkout. Told us a cleaning crew was coming in right at 10am and we had to vacate, which was false. This made it quite difficult to try to ski the day of checkout and deal with a 2 year old and 6 year old. They also locked me out of ski locker area at 10am exactly so I was unable to retrieve my family’s skis. You need to find a way to be a bit more flexible in checkout times that is more aligned with industry standards and respectful hospitality.
The cost benefit ratio is quite poor. I was charged an absolutely absurd 44% host fee above the nightly rate. For this rate you would think the services would be all out full hospitality bedding over backwards to make our stay as fantastic as possible. Not the case. Essentially minimum standards of hospitality were provided.
In addition to the 44% host fee, we were also charged an 18% service fee.
Other relatively minor issues.
The sheets were low quality.
Television did not connect to internet, so none of the streaming services works. There was a DVD player, but no way to connect it to the TV.
Despite there being a cleaning service we were still responsible for dumping our own trash, running dishes, etc.
the hallways were too warm for folks wearing ski gear. Especially when carrying lots of baggage and waiting for elevator.

We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your visit. Unfortunately, your call came in before our office was open and went to our after-hours service. Per our arrival document our office hours are 9 am - 5 pm, the after-hours service does not have the flexibility that we here in the office can provide, we would have been happy to work with you. I apologize that didn't happen. We apologize for the miscommunication about the cleaning crew's arrival time, again not being on-site at Snowshoe they had no way of knowing when the cleaning staff was going to arrive and we'll ensure better coordination in the future to avoid such situations. Your concerns about the checkout process and ski locker access are valid, and we will look into ways to be more flexible while maintaining the standards necessary for a smooth transition between guests.
All of our properties are privately owned and the TV/entertainment is at the discretion of the homeowner. We will address these matters with the homeowner to enhance the overall guest experience. Regarding the fees, you booked your reservation through VRBO, and we have no control over the fees they charge. Regarding the temperature in the hallway, we only manage some of the units in the building, Snowshoe owns the building and maintains the building services, so we have no control of the temperature, I understand how one could get very warm with ski gear on. Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience you faced, and we appreciate your valuable feedback. If there's anything else you'd like to discuss or if you have further suggestions, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a more enjoyable experience in the future.- Casago Snowshoe Team

Another great weekend of skiing at Snowshoe!
The conditions were outstanding with some fresh powder on Saturday and cold temps. Sunday was very as well with bright sun and highs in the low 30’s. We’ve stayed at Rim Fire several times and have always enjoyed the location and amenities (hot tubs, ski locker) but the last 2 times we’ve stayed there (including this stay in 352) the fireplaces haven’t worked. Disappointing. Hopefully they can get those fixed before we return to Rim Fire I’m early March.

Sorry the fireplace wasn't working. Was it super windy while you were up? If there are high winds, the fire places will not stay lit and pilot lights get blown out. Not sure if that was the situation while you were there or not. Glad the weather worked for you as far as skiing!! - Casago

Lovely stay
We stayed over MLK weekend, great location in the village and proximity to the Bellhoover lift. Odd things were missing (scissors in the kitchen) but beds/pillows were comfortable, outstanding water pressure in the showers & hot tubs were open. The weather was extraordinary that weekend, we lost power in the village so having a functioning fireplace would have been nice but with the high winds, the maintenance crew said it was difficult to start up due to the way it’s vented. Overall would stay there again, loved all bear theme. Made for a memorable trip

Perfect!
This property was so perfect! We love snowshoe so we were very excited to see this property was available. The location is great, Rimfire is right in the middle of the village, and the space was large enough to be comfortable for my family of 5. Everything was very clean and in working order. If you're big into cooking I would suggest bringing a few utensils and maybe a pan or two. They are provided but they are a bit old and very used. We would definitely stay again!

The family decided to go skiing well a few of us. I found this condo on VRBO. It was perfect for us. Great location in the village. Well stocked. Comfortable beds. Would definitely stay there again. They were very responsive when the fireplace wasn’t on. Checkin very easy at Casago.
