I am so sorry about your experience. It sounds as though you had a rough vacation from start to finish. Leaving your all-inclusive resort half way through your stay and moving locations to our condo was definitely not ideal. Although I am sure the resort was quieter than a condo in the heart of downtown Puerto Vallarta, I am so happy to hear that you did enjoy our home. I lived there for years and never was kept up by street parties and I usually spend 4-6 weeks out of the year there, and it always quiets down around 11:00pm when the vendors on the Malecon go home. I usually fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves and I really cannot recall ever being kept up by other noises unless it was a holiday like "Independence Day," or some other celebrations like the "Peregrinaciones" during Christmas time, which in those cases are to be expected being that it is right downtown. Unfortunately, I cannot control what people decide to do out on the streets during their vacations or celebrations. Again, apologies for the outside noise. I hope your next vacation goes a lot smoother.

I’m sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations, however I will address your issues one by one. I will first start by saying that if there was any issue, you should’ve reached out to me directly. Upon your arrival, we had spoken twice on the phone and I told you to not hesitate to reach out for any reason. Instead of reaching out to address any concerns and being able to remedy them in the moment, you decided to write a bad review a week later. 1: The office is closed on Sundays and it is Marina’s only day off. I’d requested that you inform me of your arrival time with your flight number so that she could track your exact time of arrival and be there. However, you only gave an approximate arrival time of noon. When you arrived, Marina was en route, but unfortunately there had been an accident creating traffic that put her behind schedule. Within minutes of receiving your message at 1:35 I’d called you on the phone at 1:38 to explain the situation. Upon hanging up with you at 1:39, I received word from Marina that you were inside at 1:52. This is all less than 20 minutes. I then followed up by calling you back at 2:06. I apologize, Marina was at the mercy of stopped traffic. 2: When we spoke again you’d mentioned the safe wouldn’t lock. I immediately recognized this problem and knew that the solution was the master key had opened it and left it in the open position. Marina keeps the master key in case any guest locks themselves in or out of it. However, Marina had already left the building. I asked you if you’d like her to come back or if she could come by at noon when she arrives the next day. You said the following day was fine. I assured you the condo is safe and nobody would enter. I told you about our security and you were comfortable with her coming back the next day with the key. Upon arriving to the building the following day she immediately went and knocked. No answer. She went back 3 times that day, and once a day each day thereafter until the day of your departure when she entered. She was not going to enter without permission and was there to address the safe issue that was nothing more than a turn of a key. 3: The shower is always scrubbed with Clorox, perhaps you saw some hairs in the drain? I’ve addressed this and will have it cleaned out. 4: The coffee pot still had coffee grounds. This is unacceptable and I addressed it. However, it is hardly something that couldn’t have been fixed. I would’ve even sent someone to buy a whole new coffee maker for you to use had I known. 5: The garbage can is… a garbage can. It’s not the cleanest household item, it contains garbage. However, it’s not dirty, it’s white plastic and a bit stained. Yes, I’d like to buy another one, but since I cover it with a plastic garbage bag, it hasn’t really been on the top of my maintenance list. I’ll see if I can find a new sparkly garbage can next time I’m there. 6: Toilet paper in the toilet in Mexico is not really a thing. I guess in new buildings it’s fine, but throughout Mexico, you will often see signs posted in the bathrooms not to flush the paper. Now, I’m guilty of flushing a bit here and there and luckily nothing has happened. I don’t know the personal toilet paper habits of guests and how much they’re used to using and flushing, so to avoid a mess on your hands, I simply suggest in the welcome letter that you throw it in the trash as most do in Mexico. If you wanted to flush it, there were no TP Police to stop you from doing it. At your own risk. 7: The mattresses are less than 10 years old and only slept on about 1/2 the year. Could they be softer like clouds? Perhaps. However when we bought them those were the best we could find. I’ll look into mattress toppers. However, I personally prefer a firmer mattress, and it’s my house. 8: You are in the heart of downtown. You were aware it could stay a bit noisy until midnight with the hustle and bustle of the downtown action, and you still complained about it in your review. I hope I addressed all your complaints. Next time please reach out to your host so they can fix it. We were unaware you left your stay early. Marina was too, she’d just figured you were out a lot enjoying the town and your vacation. Nobody entered until your departure date.
