Lake Home in the Pines with a Dodger history

This was the prior home of the Fred Claire family, General Manager of the Dodgers. The Larchmont Lodge comes equipped with all the modern amenities you would expect on a vacation including a tree house style deck, luxury hotel quality linens and bedding. Other Amenities include newly updated kitchen, built in Smart TV’s, Propane BBQ, natural gas fire place in living room. This property is perfect for family, couples, kids and pet’s. The top floor has 2 bedrooms with a Queen bed and Cal King. There is also a bathroom with tub and shower. The main floor had open living room/dining area, with forest view deck and BBQ, kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful show stopping stone Fireplace to keep you warm. The Lower level is a Bedroom/Game room w/bathroom, private deck, twin bed, queen sofa bed and pool/ping pong table. The city allows up to 2 cars parked at our home.

Quick Christmas Getaway

The house was perfect! It had everything it offered. Our little family enjoyed getting away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life and travel baseball during the holidays.

Fantastic Cabin

This cabin was amazing. It had all the amenities you could imagine, i.e., pots, pans, dish towels, pot holders, smart tvs, games, etc. We loved staying there and cannot wait to book again. There were games for the kids, ping pong table, pool table and close to Lake Arrowhead Village and not too far from Big Bear. Perfect cabin for a getaway.

Cute cabin close to hiking and the village

This was perfect for our family of 5. Loved the pool table. Everything was comfortable, clean, and cozy. Would have loved shampoo and conditioner in the showers, but that was our mistake for not checking first.

Everything we were expecting and more

Our family absolutely LOVED the stay here. The pictures online of the cabin were enticing, but the reality was MUCH better. Super clean and well furnished. The 3 level setup was the thing we loved the most. Well that and the fun game room with pool table on the bottom floor. We stayed during the cold season, and the cabin stayed perfectly warm, especially with the beautiful fireplace on the main level. We only had a few simple questions and the VRBO host responded to those VERY quickly which we appreciated. Additionally, this is located to some very nice places to eat. We recommend Rosalva's (only .3 miles away). I can guarantee that the next trip we take to Arrowhead, we are staying here again!

Quick Christmas vacation getaway

We had a great time in this cozy cabin. Was perfect for the wife and I, our teenage daughter and her friend. It rained all day on our first full day there, but we really enjoyed hunkering down in the cabin. Cabin was great, but just know that there are lots of stairs, getting down to the front door, between the sleeping areas and the living room. If you have trouble with stairs this might not be a good choice, but it worked fine for us. Host was friendly and responsive.

Great cabin

Host was very accomadating. The cabin is as shown in the pictures. Communication with host was great before and during our stay. However, after the stay when I reached out to inquire about items mistakenly forgotten (brand new beats headphones received for Christmas) he said he would reach out to the housekeeper and get back to me. A week went by so I sent a follow-up message, the host was very short and said the housekeeper did not have the items and that items left behind are thrown away. Im struggling to believe this but it was our fault for not ensuring that all drawers were emptied out. I do recommend this place just make sure you do not leave any valuables behind.

NOT a 3 bedroom home!!! Game room is not a bedroom! Sofa couch in game room was broken and we were not notified until we were due to check in. The “remedy” was sofa couches in the living room/dining room/kitchen area. No space to use these couches without moving ALL the heavy furniture. Also, VERY HOT in main living area! No way to cool down. There is no screen on the sliding door to the main deck so door cannot be left open because of all of the bugs! MISERABLE! Also, no way to secure to garbage cans!!! Had to clean up strewn garbage on the street as bears got into the trash 3 times despite all our garbage efforts! Owner was unhelpful! Response was bring all garbage cans onto the deck. Gross!!! Total disappointment rental experience!!!!

Quite cozy cabin

Check in was easy. Centrally located and very peaceful. We slept with windows open and really enjoyed the woods around us. Pool table and ping pong table served for many fun entertainment moments. Communication with owner was great. Helped resolved issues that came up during our stay. I would say the only thing I could say for improvement is the cleanliness. The main floor was pretty clean but the outside of the cabin and outside stairs were full of dirt and spider webbs everywhere. Inside requires attention to detail as lamps, railings, TV screens and corners were dirty. The shower curtain for the tub upstairs was very gross and had a bad smell when wet. I will say beds and bathroom floors were pretty clean. This cabin could be even that much better if the cleaning was better. We loved and enjoyed our time there.

Great Getaway

Great communication for a great property! Good location and just isolated enough to escape the city and still drive the lake. Plenty of space and my family and I spent countless hours playing ping pong and billiards in the game room. 10/10 recommend!

Lake Arrowhead gave us that opportunity to relax and enjoy times together in a beautiful location. Perfect all year location for both sun and snow. Lake Arrowhead has such a nice small town charm with wonderful restaurants. Our property offers the best of both worlds, the quite of the pines and proximity to the lake.
