Private condo next to state park and pier-now booking for summer!

This two bedroom, two bath townhome style condo offers private parking for two cars with a private entrance. This small, 18 unit complex offers a quiet place to relax at the private, salt water pool with attached tiki hut. Rhys' place offers a private grill for guest use, and three private balconies, all with ocean views. The unique floor plan allows for a sitting room downstairs, attached to the full kitchen, with a separate living room upstairs. The downstairs bedroom offers a queen sized bed and smart TV with attached bathroom (tiled shower). The eat in kitchen offers all major appliances including a dishwasher. Attached to the kitchen is a small sitting area with a queen sized sleeper sofa, a large smart TV, and direct access to one of the three balconies. Upstairs you will find a large living area with a smart TV with attached balcony. Down the hall from the living area is the washer and dryer closet and the master bedroom. The master has its own private balcony where you can enjoy the sunrise over the ocean while laying in the king sized bed. A smart TV, large master closet, and attached bath with tub and shower round out this amazing space. Rhys' Place is a short, 10 minute walk to all of the main Gulf Shores restaurants and attractions, and direct access to Gulf State Park beaches. Views of both Lake Shelby and the Gulf State Park pier can be seen from the master bedroom balcony.
Rhys' Place is a privately owned condo created to honor the life of the owner's 3 year old son who passed away in 2019. Each stay at Rhys' Place allows the owners to allow a family who has also lost a child unexpectedly to stay in the condo for free. Rhys' Place is intended for families who want to enjoy the beauty of the sugar sand beaches of Gulf Shores while enjoying the privacy of a small complex.

This condo was perfect! Great location and the most comfy beds and couches ever. Pool was nice and clean and steps away from condo. Plenty of linens and you could definitely tell all of the bedding was washed upon arrival. The beach was amazing and less populated on our end. We will be back! (:

This condo was beautiful and well taken care of. Owners had great communication..condo was across the street from ocean. As well as near store's and restaurants. There was a pool too. We stayed an extra night. We will definitely be returning.

I didn’t feel that they were friendly. Never offered anything other than what was needed. They responded to my first 3 messages (and one of them was a request for the code to get in and that request was made after the check-in time). My last message about “did you know that there was going to be building maintenance (painting & balcony repair) done while we’re here” was ignored!

Amazing stay, location is 5 stars

Love the property. Super cute and clean and just as advertised. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the decor and the setup was great. Loved that the beach was so accessible, and being next to the state park meant it was not super crowded. Be prepared to walk through the sand, we definitely got our workout in but it was so worth it! Would stay again in a heartbeat and hated to leave.

Gulf Shores Trip!

We had a blast! This condo was awesome. The beds are extremely comfortable and so are the couches. I usually hate staying in hotels/condos because we have to sleep on rock hard beds, not this place. They made the trip so much more enjoyable lol the condo itself was really nice, it’s modern and clean, it was set up perfectly for our family. My only negative thing to say (and it’s not the fault of the condo owners), they have what I guess is the “normal” walk to the beach closed due to construction. So the walk to the beach across the road is absolutely miserable. Especially with young kids and wagons full of stuff. It’s like a half mile of nothing but pure sand that you sink to your ankles in. That was the only thing that I can honestly say was the most “un-enjoyable” part of the condo. Besides that when they open the beach walk again I would 100% stay in this unit again. The owners are extremely nice and communicate very well!

First time to Gulf Shores!

We really enjoyed Gulf Shores and Rhys’ Place! Beautifully decorated and very clean. My only suggestion would be to update pool seating. We hope to return in the future!

The perfect Gulf Shore Stay

This was our first time to Gulf Shores and we will definitely be back, not only to Gulf Shores, but here! It was just as beautiful as the pictures, had everything you would need to a stay and was literally a short walk across the street to the beach! Staycay getaway

Had a great, quick trip with hubby and two teen daughters to kick off summer. This updated, two story condo was great for our family. Loved meeting the owners of the other condos too. Very welcoming and great location! Will be back!🏖

Rhys' Place was created in remembrance of our youngest son Rhys, who we lost in an accident in 2019. He loved the beach more than anything in this world, so we created Rhys' Place in his honor. Little pieces of his favorite things are found throughout the condo, including the color scheme, the decorations, and the pictures on the walls. It was entirely renovated and redone by our family over the summer of 2020 as a way for us to grieve together and heal, and it will be used as our second home in the summers, as we are both educators.
Rhys' Place will be made available to selected families who have also lost a child unexpectedly, free of charge. In order to offer this for free, we must rent the condo out to absorb that cost. Por qué escogió este alojamiento

This is a private complex with only 18 total units. Most of the owners do not rent, so it is very peaceful and quiet for families while still being close enough to most restaurants and shops to walk. The Gulf State Park is less than a mile away with plenty of bike and walking trails for the more active vacationer.

Located in a small, older, but updated complex, Rhys' Place offers a quite, relaxing location to enjoy your stay in beautiful Gulf Shores. The property is located near the state park and pier, offering a more relaxed beach atmosphere than is found closer to the Hangout, but still in walking distance to everything you may want to do in the evenings. The complex pool is large, and it is never crowded, and the complex is actively monitored by both permanent residents and security cameras, ensuring that security and safety are never an issue.
