Whether you're into fishing, kayaking, relaxing in nature or just wanting to get away from it all we've got you covered. Spend your next getaway at Hilltop Cabin near Wood Creek Lake. Hilltop Cabin sits on a huge wooded lot with beautiful Wood Creek Lake within sight. Wood Creek Lake is the perfect lake for kayaking and fishing. Wood Creek Boat Dock is a short 5.2 mile drive if you want to bring your kayaks along and there is plenty of parking on site if you want to bring your fishing boat.
The cabin is clean and cozy with modern appliances in the kitchen if you want to cook. If not, there are plenty of dining choices a short drive away. Spend your morning having coffee on the screened in back patio and spend your nights around the outdoor fire pit. And if you're lucky, you just might see a deer at some point during your stay.

Cute cabin!

We were in town for a family reunion and this cute little cabin fit all our needs. We were able to have some quiet peaceful time at the cabin sitting around the fire ring. Very clean and owners were very easy to reach for any questions we had. Would definitely stay again

Hill Top Adventure

What a nice place. Linda does an awesome job making sure you have everything you need for your stay! We had a much needed relaxing stay. Would most definitely stay again. We highly recommend the Hill Top Cabin!

Nice quiet private place with short walk down to lake. About a 15 to 20 minute drive to Wildcat Atv park. Very clean and property owners respond quickly if needed. Great place for relaxation.

Great out of the way location

Very Nice cabin on the hill, very simple. Nice having the firepit for the evenings. Perfect for 2. Just be careful driving down the area roads, very narrow. Would do it again if in the area.

Perfection Realized

This cabin was the cleanest cabin we’ve ever stayed in, the front room furniture was so comfortable. It was real furniture, not rattan that you don’t fit in or is so uncomfortable you can’t even enjoy the front room . everything in the kitchen was new and clean. You felt safe using all the utensils and pots and pans dishes …the beds were clean and nice. The bathroom towels were fluffy and smelled so clean a nice beautiful screened in porch TV in the bedroom TV in the front room, great front porch fire pit, where you could sit and watch the lake. Everything was perfection, realized.!

Weekend trip

The cabin was in a great location and had all of the amenities needed for a fun weekend getaway with the guys! It was a short drive to Wildcat Off-road Park where we visited a couple of days. Next time we’re in the area we will definitely book again!

Great Quick Getaway

Cute/clean cabin for our quick getaway. My favorite was the string lights outside. It was so pretty at night. Also enjoyed the screened in back porch. Would stay again.

Relaxing Stay

The purpose of this trip was very simple. Relaxation. We often plan busy vacations with multiple items to do each day and lots of eating out. That was not the purpose of this trip and was the exact reason why we chose this getaway. There are certainly some things to do in the area. (we went to Cumberland Falls and did some fishing) so we don't want to take away from that, but if you are looking to have a quiet trip, that can be achieved here. The cabin has everything you need, no matter the weather. The sunroom provides a convenient escape from inside the cabin if you need a breath of fresh air. It was hot and humid during our stay so we were dependent on the A/C units. They performed perfectly. Linda communicated with us effectively and we would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. We are going to provide two cautionary comments but they do not result in a reduction to the rating. 1. The drive back to the cabin is well paved but it is a curvy road with blind spots and no guard rails. The speed limit is 15 mph for a reason. Take it slow. 2. We saw many dogs wandering around, both along the road to the cabin and on the cabin property. All dogs that we encountered were friendly. We had a dog approach us when we were fishing and another come up to us when we had a camp fire one evening. We never felt concerned for our safety, but we did want to provide a heads up to future potential guests.

Great experience and amazing cabin

This cabin was absolutely amazing. Great location in the woods, very clean, had essential items in it if you forgot anything and had everything you would need for a great stay in the cabin! I will definitely be staying again! Very peaceful. Much recommended if you are looking for a quiet enjoyable weekend or week trip for couples especially.

Cabin on Hill

The road off the highway to the cabin has some rather run down homes not kept up very well with junk in yards. Unleashed dog chased my car 100 yards. I would not ride a bike on this road. Makes for a poor first impression. But the immediate area around cabin was nice. You are surrounded by a beautiful lake but there is no lake access. Location is good if you want to visit the natural stone arch of Red River Gorge one and half hour east or Cumberland Falls one hour west.

Thanksgiving Getaway

This cabin is outstanding. Very cozy, clean and in a beautiful location. Easy to get to. The host was very accommodating. We hope to return. We felt very safe! I highly recommend checking it out.

Cabin Stay

We had a great time at the cabin. Linda was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, even took a request during our stay. We especially needed high speed internet to work at the cabin and Linda sent us a speed test before we booked; the internet was prefect our entire stay. There are lots of nice birds in the area and there's a lovely short walk on the road around the cabin with views of trees/water. Great hikes around the area as well ranging from 25-60 min drive. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again!
