This was our 2nd stay. The grounds as well as inside are both well maintained and stocked. Directions and access onto the property is very simple. The views are priceless! Definitely recommend and well worth the price! Brian was quick to respond when I had a question - great customer service!

Fantastic experience all around! Our host was helpful in getting to know the area, always got back to emails right away and gave us some great suggestions on local hikes. The property was beautiful, immaculately clean, quiet and easy to get to. Exactly how a VRBO is meant to be!

Mountain Getaway

We’ve stayed at this property multiple times and each time is amazing. It’s a great getaway with amazing views. From the time you get there you don’t want to leave. We enjoyed the porch as well as playing games in the lower level.

Great cabin

One of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in - great views, the host provided everything we could have needed (including firewood), fun game room, and really comfortable beds. The only recommendation is to include the two exterior cameras on the cabin description - they seem to cover quite a bit of the outside area.

Serenity Now!

This stunningly beautiful cabin is well-appointed and immaculately clean. This was our fourth visit in as many years, and yet we continue to be amazed by the view of the mountains, the amenities, the comfiness, and, yes, the serenity. The sound of leaves rustling in the gentle breeze is about the loudest thing we heard all week, outside of the occasional passing car. It was exactly what we needed, and it's why we keep going back year after year. Thank you, Brian, for maintaining such a wonderfully welcoming retreat. (For those not tracking, the title of this review is a Seinfeld reference.)

FaithFest Family Vacation

The pictures of this home do it no justice! Better than we expected! Views were stunning! Well stocked kitchen! Great layout! Well kept property! We only had 2 cars in the driveway, but plenty of room for more - if necessary! We will definitely return next year for our yearly outing to Wilksboro. The only “down side” was the lack of screens on the doors. The weather was perfect to keep the AC/heat off and let the fresh air in, but due to the bugs and lack of screens, we had to keep things closed up. The upstairs master porch door had a screen which would work for the other entry doors. Just a suggestion, not a deal breaker. But would cut down on the electric/gas bill. Gorgeous place! Would definitely recommend this secluded, off path, gorgeous cabin! 5 stars from us! Thank you!!

Making Memories

This was my second time visiting and it was just as great as the first. The cabin was clean, fully stocked with amenities and inviting as the first visit. What this special was the family time and the ability to make memories with my family. The trip to Stone Mountain was an adventure for my sister who loves waterfalls! The location made available for us to step out of comfort zone and head over to an emerald mine in Hiddenite! This is one of my favorite places and i will be back again!

Beautiful property

Gorgeous property! We had two young children and it was pretty easy to childproof. We did buy a childproof doorknob cover for the stairs leading to the basement because the lock didn’t work. We also recommend that the owner write a note about the stove. The “Cooktop On” light may stay on even if it is off. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Great and comfortable house with beautiful views

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is clean and very comfortable, in a very quiet community. There are lots of fun little details in the furnishing and decoration of the house that we appreciated. Our only tiny nit: the kitchen is short of a couple of things that aren't on the host's list of items to bring.

New Year’s Retreat

We had a lovely time. The four of us (two middle aged parents and two adult daughters) spent four nights over New Year’s weekend and had a thoroughly relaxing time. The canin was beautifully furnished and had all the amenities (we cooked in 3 of the 4 nights) and the views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains were among the most lovely we’ve seen.

I built Stone Mountain Serenity in 2008 and picked this location because of the amazing views, complete privacy, abundant wildlife and great hiking.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Enjoying the breathtaking views while in front of a bonfire is one of my favorite cabin activities. Hiking Stone Mnt State Park and Doughton Park are other must do's while visiting the area. My boys love the rock slide at Widow Falls in Stone Mnt Park, which always ends with ice cream at the country store. There is nothing better than enjoying a cold NC craft beer on the deck, while watching an amazing sunset over the mountains...the uplighting can be mesmerizing at times. Touring all of the local wineries with friends and ending with dinner at the Harvest Grill at Shelton makes for a great day.
