River Retreat & Decked Out - Walk to town - 3BD

Relax and have fun right on the river. Enjoy yourselves on one of the three balconies and let the Arkansas River lull you to sleep. Just blocks to historic downtown with charming restaurants and boutique shopping. Spacious 1800 sq feet of living space with 3 bed/3 full baths with 2 master suites. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Enjoy some downtime playing a game of pool in the swanky game room or take a ride into town on our cruiser bikes. (6 max guests, 25 y/o to book).

RIO VISTA is situated on the banks of the Arkansas River just 3 blocks from historic downtown Salida. Whatever the season, there’s a ton to see and do in Salida. Skiing at Monarch (just 30 minutes away), tubing or paddle boarding down the river, soaking in the nearby hot springs, rafting, hiking, mountain biking, premier fishing, art, and music festivals and so much more. Salida is a dog-friendly, family-friendly (well, heck...we're just friendly) town and you'll feel like locals right out of the gate. STR License #0772

We manage the property so we're easy to get ahold of. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need us. We want your stay to be the best that it can be so we're a quick call or text away.

We want you to feel nice and relaxed while you're here so we provide a selection of TAZO teas, snacks for you and your pup, and Paul Mitchell Tea Tree hair products.

If you are planning on bringing your pooch, please let me know in advance. There is a flat $50 fee per dog and will send you the payment process. We LOVE dogs and want your friends to come with you but we do have a limit on how many and how big they can be. Please contact me in advance.

Great communication. Very welcoming host and well appointed space. Perfect location in a quiet downtown neighborhood. Pet friendly which was a huge bonus for us. All the rooms were super comfortable. Great beds.

The wife and I spent 3 weeks in August of '25 in this beautiful condo on the river in Salida. Just a few blocks from the main business district, close to all the bars and restaurants. We also had some friends and family stay with us while there. The place was very clean. It was all as described. The owner was very responsive to any concerns (virtually none). I caught fish right in front of the condo. Saw several others do the same. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

Awesome Stay

Karen was an amazing host! The house is beautifully decorated. The 3 private decks right on the river are amazing to watch the stars from. It’s perfect for family or a group of friends. The location can’t be beat. It’s less than a 10 minute walk from town. Can’t recommend it enough!

Perfect place

This was the perfect getaway for a weekend in salida, the worst part was having to choose which of the three beautiful decks to sit on each day! Super nice house with all amenities. Location is great with an easy walk downtown and it’s right next to a river path we used daily. We knew people at a lot of the other rentals in town and this is by far the standout property in the area.

Perfect for Three Friends

Rio Vista is a lovely 3-story condominium with a deck on each level. It is a short walk to town and has a great view of the river. The entry is on the main level, which has a living area and kitchen. There is no powder room on this level, so you must go up or downstairs to use a bathroom. If this is not an issue, this unit is perfect for a group who’d like 3 private bedrooms with their own bath. The queen-bedroom faces the street, but the other two have decks and views of the river. The decor, cleanliness and linens are top-notch. The game room in the attached garage was really fun. There is plenty of parking on the street, so we never used the other garage.

Luxury Living and a Great Place to Relax

Our adult family gathered from nearby states to relax and spend some time together for a long weekend. Salida is a favorite mountain town for us. The condo was spacious, very well equipped and relaxing. 2 BRs each w/baths on the upper floor, living area on the entry level floor between, and 1 BR w/bath on the river level floor (so all need to be able to walk stairs.) Good communication with host. Not lacking one thing. We hope to be back some day.

Our new favorite!

This became our new favorite place to stay in Salida! A five minute walk to downtown, this townhome is close to shopping, restaurants, hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking-all the fun things that Salida is famous for. The decks are perfect for enjoying that morning coffee and planning the day’s adventures. Everything about this home screams comfort and coziness.

Perfect Spot

I was so impressed with this condo. It was located in the best possible place with beauty outside every window. It was incredibly clean and welcoming with a touch of class in every room. Loved it...

Great location and access to Arkansas River fishing out back door, close proximity to town, clean, excellent communication from owner. Decks were awesome for relaxing after hiking, fishing etc. Riverwalk and access to river/wave and park is perfect. This is the perfect rental for family trip and a variety of activities.

New Years Get Away

The property was great! The host is very responsive and friendly. We enjoyed the views from 3 balconies of the beautiful Arkansas River. There are several scenic trails to walk/run/bike near the house, and the beautiful downtown is within walking distance. We only used our car a couple of times. We would absolutely stay again!
