This spacious house sleeps up to 12 guests in the main home (*and there is also an ADULT ONLY - Private Modern apartment FLEX SPACE that can be rented for an ADDITIONAL COST, where 2 more ADULTS can stay. Ask for more info if interested. The last several pictures are of the apartment - notice the brick and burned wood on walls).

This is a wonderful property to spend time with your family or friends, no matter the season. With its breathtaking views of Douglas Lake and The Smoky Mountains the home is the perfect place for your next retreat. VERY RARE, LARGE PRIVATE OFFICE with panoramic views if you need it. Wifi throughout to keep you connected.

High style luxury provides 2 amazing kitchens that are fully equipped. Also, a large theater room featuring a 135 in fixed screen and dolby surround sound for the real theater experience, Extra large lounge deck offers 2 fire pits, with plenty of space to relax and rejuvenate. A outdoor kitchen area with plumbed gas grill, a salt-water *heated pool and oversized spa,

Your group will also have plenty to do nearby such as hiking trails, ziplines, boat, jet ski, kayak, and paddle board rentals, golf, water parks, amusement parks, shopping, horseback riding, white water rafting, and lots of antiquing.

This house is perfect for 8-10 adults, for retreats. And the sleepers can accommodate children or a couple of smaller adults. We allow up to 12 booked persons total in the main house (and IF THE FLEX SPACE IS RENTED...then there is allowed 14 Total, NO EXTRA GUESTS ALLOWED ON PROPERTY…NO EXCEPTIONS.

NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY.

We are experienced travelers and foodies. Working in the airline industry since 1989 and being vacation rental host since 2013, we have stayed in all types of places and have decided we like comfort over camping :-) We thought many others would too. We bought this home with the expressed desire to see people who are weary, discouraged, and just needing some refreshing...to be able to come away and rest. We set it up as an adult retreat, knowing personally many people in full time ministry or missions who need a peaceful place to rejuvenate and to regain perspective. As followers of Jesus, we learned after going through a very difficult time of illness, that He loves people and He calls us to come away, be still, and KNOW Him: His peace, His rest, His comfort, His HOPE! Come and see for yourself, refresh, renew, get new perspective in a place that is set apart from the busyness of the world around us all. We would love to host you and your group. As a ministry outreach, we donate to A Door of Hope Foster Care and other ministries that care for the hurting and needy. You partner with us every time you stay at The View...so, Thank You!!! The views are SPECTACULAR!! And you will notice the peaceful nature of the property as you drive in and it will only get better as you walk into the home. This is a truly unique property that is unlike any other in the area. First you have space and serenity that many other homes don't have. You will have 2 full kitchens, 2 coffee bars, tons of parking, a 900 sq. ft theater room with a 135 inch screen. The pool table is situated in one of the rooms with the best views...you might just want to hang out and eagle watch since there are so many pairs located right on Douglas Lake (I've watched in amazement many days!). There are so many locations inside and out to be alone to meditate, read, or chill...yet there's space for group gatherings that won't leave anyone out. You have the option of having the private salt-water pool heated April 1-Oct 31 for an added charge or just use the spa/hot tub in those cooler months which over looks the lake and mountains. All four bedrooms have private bathrooms which make it great for couples getaways. Two lead directly out onto the pool deck. This home will accommodate up to 12 total in the main home (and we've added a brand new modern apartment in the lower level in the back, that can be rented for an additional charge, but the apartment is for ADULTS ONLY. If interested in the apartment ask for more info). No additional guests permitted. If you want to go to Gatlinburg or Pidgeon Forge you can go, but when you want peace and space...you are just minutes back to the house.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

This house is located in a beautiful neighborhood without steep, narrow, or winding roads. Only 5 minutes to a nice grocery store, starbucks, ice cream and snow cone shop, nail salon and a cute downtown shopping area. A restaurant with live music on the deck outside is 6 minutes away. And 7- 10 minutes to golfing and boating. We LOVE this location! Also, unlike many lakefront homes in the area, you don't notice the drastic drop of the lake every spring, fall and winter, because we are positioned high above the water line where you just see the beauty. And because the location is higher, you don't hear all the boat noise typically found in properties close to waters edge. Some of you know what I'm talking about. Come see for yourselves, we believe you'll love the difference and book again and again like many others.
