We had a great time. The layout of the house accommodated everyone with their own sleeping spaces and we were able to cook Thanksgiving dinner in the well stocked kitchen.

This place is in a great location very close to the beach. Check in process is very quick and easy as well. The wrap around deck and the front steps are in very very bad shape and need replaced asap. The side area of the house where the hose for rinsing off sand is a complete safety hazard. If you weigh over 100 pounds I would not suggest walking on this deck and porch. The inside of the house is a little run down as well and could probably use some updates. The one couch in the house is broken so when you sit on it you sink straight to the middle. This house was good was a quick weekend trip with college friends but I would not stay here on a trip with my family and children.

Location was great but…Very disappointed with this house. It has lots of potential, but it is clearly not taken care of. The doorknob on the front door was barely hanging on . My husband had to fix it and also a cabinet drawer. Bathroom door doesn’t lock or latch. Shower curtain is 2 foot too narrow. Needs a good cleaning. Beds and couch need replacing.

This house worked great for 2 familys. House was in a great loction for access to the beach a d was easy to get the kids there while walking. The beach service was a plus i wasnt expecting getting 2 chairs and a umbrella. The only bad thing i can say is that the bed in bedroom 2 had a broken frame but is still sleep ok. The master bed really needs a new matress but for value was great no complaint about that. Will definitely look at staying here again. I hope they update the beds by then.

Perfect vacation

Family Beach Vacation

Couldn't of had a better location, just a minute walk to an amazing beach....good for grandbabies afternoon nap and snacks! House was super cute but needs a lot of love. Beds were very uncomfortable and broken down matresses. Couch was collapsed in the seat. The steps on porch were rotting and unstable. However for the price I can see why he doesn't improve much due to the amazing location and nice acommodating host. Appreciated the ability to have our furry babies as well. Truly a great family trip with close access to the beach. With alittle improvement to the house you couldn't beat it!

Great location

House was clean, but needs some small repairs. Blinds broken in just about every room, closet doors hard to open and close, master closet was broken, master bathroom door wouldn’t lock properly and there was no stopper for the drain in the master bath to take a bath. The shower curtain and hooks in the master bath need to be replaced. The hooks are rusting onto the curtain. There are some outlets that don’t work also. Mattress for pull out trundle upstairs had some kind of funky stain on the corner. We didn’t use the back very much because you have to go through the master bedroom to get to the back patio. That’s kind of misleading. Parking was a bit difficult but we managed. Maybe need to cut back some of your palm trees and bushes, very hard to get in and out of cars in such a tight space. And to get to the house you get smacked with palm fronds. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the beach was so close and we had a free umbrella and chairs as well.

Perfect Location, Lovely House

We had the most wonderful week with our grown daughter, our son, and his wife. The rocking chairs on the porch were a perfect welcome, and a really nice place to enjoy a glass of wine or lemonade. Entering the house, the large living room provided a comfortable place to relax. The kitchen is well-appointed, and included a drip coffee maker, blender, pots, pans, and everything needed. Washer and dryer made it convenient to pack light and go home with clean everything.The dining area includes a large table- great for table games as well as sharing meals. There is also a table in the living/family room.Bedrooms were comfortable. There were 2 bedrooms on the main floor. A spiral staircase takes you to a double bed on the second floor. Our daughter chose the "penthouse"- the room on the top floor with a full/twin bunkbed -that has a balcony off it. Sheets and regular bath towels are provided. We brought beach towels, and appreciated availability of beach chairs. Bathrooms (one en-suite and one off the living room) provided showers after delightful visits to the beach. (outside shower and hose are handy for getting the layers of sand off before entering the house.)We didn't take advantage of the barbecue and firepit in the large back yard- but if we'd stayed longer, I'm sure we would have enjoyed them.David communicated well- promptly replied to inquiries with great information.

Great location, but….

When we book, regardless of where we go, our goal is to find a place that is safe and clean, not luxurious. The location of this property is perfect in every way. Close to everything but also quiet when you want it to be. The property could be an absolute gem. The master bedroom/bath could use a remodel as it was very dated (and carpets very worn and dirty). We also found the electrical peculiar as many outlets wouldn’t hold a plug and the outlet in the front porch was just not connected (only the grounding wire). Beds were ok, but old and pretty flimsy. There was a pullout mattress upstairs that was heavily stained. The kitchen was ok, fine for a week long stay. The back yard was kept nice and had a nice fire pit. We won’t be back. Value for price was good but would have been great if not for the cleanliness.

October Getaway

This was our second time. The new fence looks great; the mattresses need replacement. The stove needs replacement. The cookware (nonstick) is peeling-/not safe. The location is still great…the insides needs attention.

Family vacation home

Perfect home for a big family. Very large open floor plan for everyone to have their own space. Owner was very nice and responded quickly to any questions we had. The TV was messed up so he made sure to switch the box out and when that didn't work he was very quick to come back to the home to try to fix it again and offered to buy us a Roku box until it was fixed by the cable company. Very short walk to the beach. Overall it was a great trip.

September beach trip

Enjoyed the location. House easily handled our party of six and the air conditioning worked great. Easy walk to the beach, appreciated the extra beach, chairs, and umbrella. café & restaurants close by. Crab Island was fun. Sunsets and white sands and Clearwater was hard to beat!! Rented a couple E bikes from Coastal Cruisers, And explored the surrounding area.

Amazing location

Couldn’t ask for a better location. The home was decently clean and very conveniently located. The house could use minor hardware updates. Some of the doorknobs were loose (exterior were the ones that concerned us), the tub drain stopper didn’t work and the dishwasher didn’t work, but we were able to make it work anyway and it didn’t take away from our overall experience. The neighborhood was quiet at night and you’re within a quick walk to the beach. Our kids loved the loft room. Overall very happy with our stay!

Had a great time.

I stayed in this house with my husband and adult children. We loved the house and neighborhood and the beach is so close! The beach chair/umbrella service is a nice perk. The deck and carpet need a little TLC. All in all, we had a great time!!

Our beautiful home sits nestled in the quaint Crystal Beach area of Destin, FL. Crystal beach is known for its beautiful water and quaint white picket fenced cottages. Our home leads the Water’s Edge subdivision, known for bringing the Florida Cottage style homes to the area.




Crystal Beach is convenient to all of the best restaurants including regionally known favorites like the Hard Rock Café, The Bonefish Grill, The Cracker Barrel, The Waffle House, Longhorn Steakhouse, Coldstone Creamery, and a Starbucks as well as many local hot spots located along the waterfront.




Destin is also a shopper’s paradise. Crystal Beach is located next to the new Destin Commons mall with water fountains and playgrounds for children and upscale shopping sure to fit every taste. Three miles to the East are the Destin Outlets where bargains make every day a “black Friday.”




To the West of Crystal Beach you will find value stores such as Walmart, Home Depot and other favorites as you journey toward the Harbor area Destin is famous for. Along the way you’ll find even more restaurants and family friendly activities like miniature golf, go-cart racing and water slides.




Part of what makes Crystal Beach such a wonderful area to vacation in is how it approaches the beach. Much of the Destin waterfront is surrounded by high rise condo developments that empty large groups of vacationers onto a limited beach area. But at Barracuda, you walk onto a beachfront area fronted by a neighborhood so there is always room to spread out on the sand.

Favorite area activities include fishing excursions and boat trips to Destin's favorite 'Crab Island.'
