Location, Location, Location

Location to the beach is the highlight of this beach rental. Yes it’s dated but the beach is why you’re really there. It’s great for two not sure about four. Another good thing is the bed slept good and wasn’t lumpy. Did not try the pull out sleeper sofa. The kitchen is a tight fit but made it work. The fridge kept things cold and frozen. The stove top burners have some issues but made it work. The microwave oven is on top of the fridge and hard to get to if your short, and could pose a burn hazard. Maybe move it or provide a step stool. A remodel and reconfiguration of the kitchen would make this unit so much more. Because of the location to the beach I would come back.

Pretty average place overall. Was very clean, pretty bare bones but serves the purpose of a place to sleep, shower, and eat. The WiFi is very slow! My biggest suggestion is to bring your own Roku device if you have one if you want to watch TV. Not smart TVs and the cable box in the bedroom isn’t even hooked up, let alone the remote working properly to try to connect. Like I said, nothing wrong with it but nothing great or special about it either.

2nd year in this condo

Easy access on 1st floor. Pool entrance right across from room entrance. Private gate to beach that's not overly crowded. Only downside is no cabinet space but not a biggie we just utilized the good counter space. The pull out couch mattress is thin and springy, but we didn't needed it.

Disappointing Stay

We've been coming to Gulfview off and on for over 20 years. First time dealing with Vacasa. Not impressed. Vacasa employees act like you are bothering them when you ask questions. They gave us the wrong beach gate code - we had to walk up the street to the public entrance and then asked people on the beach what the code was. Gulfview 115 is an older unit. Please replace the toilet. The refrigerator had 1 ice cube tray which leaked. The refrig struggled to keep food cool. Uncomfortable bed. Overall a disappointing stay.

Great location, but needs some work

Gulfview is one of our favorite places to stay. The complex is right across the street (a 2-lane road) from the private beach access, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. This condo is on the ground floor. It's in the front of the complex, facing the street. One of the pools is right outside the door of the condo. We didn't pull out the sofa bed, so I can't say whether or not it's comfortable to sleep on. But the sofa IS comfortable to sit on. The condo AC is cool, but not as cold as I like it. If you are hot-natured, you may need a small fan to be more comfortable. BUT ..... This condo could use some TLC and upgrades. On the door going out to the private patio, there is a section of the mini-blinds that is broken off. We had to hang a sheet over the door for privacy. Also, the toilet is a very slow flusher. The mattress wasn't awesome, but it's not terrible either. The closet door in the bedroom has rust on it, I'm guessing from a previous water damage, and it makes the door hard to open and close. The shower curtain is cloth, and water leaks out into the floor when you shower. The location of the electrical outlets in the bedroom made it so that my husband and I weren't able to plug our phone chargers in (needed to charge 2, but only one available/accessible outlet). Overall, this condo is pretty decent, but just needs a few things. Even with these small issues, I'd say it is definitely worth the money.

Gulfview 115

Do NOT book this place if you want to relax! Just upon arrival: dirty floors, toilet backing up, refrigerator leaking water, no security on site to run loud kids out of pool after posted pool times. I had to mop floors twice, upon arrival and after plumber came which did not fix the toilet issue. This condo has never been updated or maintained, very worn and old. Bathroom shows mold under sink fixtures and shower pressure is poor. There was no bedding for sofa bed and Vacasa gave wrong beach gate code. Every time I reached out to Vacasa, I got the same canned response that they’ll “open a ticket”….

Great location

Enjoyable place

Place was clean, quiet and nicely appointed. Location was generally quiet in a nice neighborhood with a few shops within walking distance. Crossing the busy road to the beach was easy as vehicles would stop right away at the cross walk.

Gulfview 115

This unit was cozy and offered a partial ocean view. However, I felt the kitchen and bathroom could use some tlc in the renovation department. The stove and toilet are in need of replacement. And I had to wipe down the counters and livingroom table upon arrival. I also felt the washer/dryer costs was an inconvenience. Considering what we paid to stay, it just doesn't seem fair to charge tenants/guest almost $4 per load of laundry.

Needs cleaned

They need to find a new cleaning service. The bathroom was nasty and the floors were mot cleaned . There were Nats all in the bathroom and Kitchen . The couch smelled of urine .

Would not pay to stay here again despite the great location, it was that dirty . Sand everywhere, sofa cushions, floors, hair in shower, one coffee cup for the entire place. Terrible.

The good, the bad, the ugly

The good: we have stayed in several Gulfview II condos and love the property. It has a private gated beach with limited guests, so it is not as crowded as public beaches or beaches with a high rise. It is within walking distance of several great restaurants. It has a community laundry facility, 2 pools, and a hot tub. It does not have the “resort” landscaping and fancy pool, and does not come with the fancy resort price. This unit has a small View of the gulf, located on the first floor, spacious, close to the pool, laundry, parking, and grill. The unit meets all basic needs. The bad: the description said “classic,” which meant everything is old and outdated. The unit is great for spring break college kids, but we expect more from a VRBO rental. We expect the personal touch of owners who care about the guests’ experience. This unit is run by a management company and lacks decor, furnishings, and personal touches such as pictures and rugs. Because the unit is close to the pool and is next to the sidewalk and street, it is loud. The description stated that the unit was “cozy and romantic.” It is neither. It is bland, plain, sterile and Uninviting. The ugly: black grimy tile grout (gray in corners) and desperately needs cleaning, dust in corners, broom with few bristles, dirty sponge mop, scum on the bathtub. Found the broom in the HVAC closet, and the old dirty air filter left behind as well. Dust and grime in the HVAC closet and in the return air vent. Old dusty carpet in the closets. The unit needs hangers in the closet and light bulbs in the lamps…yes, NO light bulbs in the lamps. The previous guests left a broken beach chair outside the door that housekeeping did not remove. Perhaps if this were our first experience with this property, we would have focused more on the positives, but we have rented a total of 6 units in Gulfview II over the years, and this one meets the expectations of a motel, not of a VRBO rental.

The condo was clean but the vertical blinds had several missing from it and people walking on the sidewalk could look in. The tv volume was either loud or mute until we googled how to reprogram it half way through our stay. There should be more seating in the living room besides just a couch. We did not have enough towels and wash cloths we had to pay to wash them on site.
