Relaxing and comfortable like home

My mom and I had a good time we enjoyed the bay, pool and the beach. This property is an ideal place to stay it's close to a Publix and trolley is close to take to the beach and village.

Siesta Key Condo

We spent a week at this property in February 2023. The condo was just as advertised. Everything was very neat and clean and as advertised. The location was OK - would’ve been nicer had it been closer to the beach. The pool was nice and the property was very quiet.

Thank you for your stay at Bay Oaks - E01. This ground floor 2 bedroom 2 bath unit located in the Bay Oaks condo complex is perfect for the guests who enjoy lounging by the pool or walking a short distance to the beach. This unit being on the ground floor although convenient for guests as there are no stairs can be affected by what happens in the units above. This stay was cut short do to a 3rd floor unit flooding the tenants were offered an alternate property to stay in for the remainder of their stay which the tenant declined. The tenant was refunded for the days they did not occupy the unit. This issue was address within 5 minutes of it being reported by the tenant.

Spring break in Siesta Key

Overall great property but without beach access challenging and the pool is small. Unit very nice. They also need gas grills not charcoal. Shower head needs cleaning.

Great Getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed here for 6 nights with my mother, sister, and my two young nieces. Everyone had enough room to relax. The place was clean and stocked with mostly everything you'd need. Good location and nice pool to jump in after a day at the beach. The twin beds and sofa bed need to be replaced. I'm glad I broght my air mattress. My mother slept in the king bed and said was comfortable. The a/c worked great and the shower water pressure was awesome.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. I have not received any complaints yet about the twin beds and look into what we can do there. The sleeper sofa is a sleeper sofa, not necessary made to be the most comfortable. There is a memory foam mattress topper for it in the closet.

Nice and quiet.

The unit was very clean and very cute. Check in was effortless With a key box on the door. There are tons of towels which came in handy going back and forth from the beach and pool...and the pool was never crowded. I loved having a washer and dryer in the room and I loved the covered parking and the beautiful grounds. My only criticism is that all the blinds need to be replaced because they’re very old and didn’t provide complete privacy..:we remedied this by hanging sheets over the blinds in the bedrooms..the other issue was that the lock didn’t work on the master bedroom. All-in-all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Thanks for staying the complex is one of the more quiet properties on the island. The blinds are actually new but are vertical blinds and unfortunately many guests do not care to rotate them prior to opening them, or walking through the, etc. Will check the lock on the master bedroom.

Good for price I guess

For the price it’s worth it. However there were maintenance issues. Unclear instructions about what the key fob was to access pool. Single house key instead of key or card fobs to get into residence made it difficult for multiple people staying. Had cable issues with unclear solutions to fix the issue.

Thank you for staying. We do not have nay maintenance issues that were reported by this guest during the time of their stay. I will assume they meant to write WHERE not WHAT the key fob for pool access is located. It hangs by the front door on a large paint stick. Yes, only one key is provided and the lockbox on the door can be utilized so the key never leaves the property and prevents key loss. Not sure what cable issues they had however it has been checked and works properly.

Spring Break 2015 - Great but not perfect

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was as advertised comfortably accommodating two adults and two teens. The pool and tennis areas were nice. Just 1/2 mile to a fun restaurant / bar Captain Curt's. Sarasota is just a bridge away. St Armand is just 15 minutes drive. Beach access was an issue. Closest is over 1/2 mile with limited parking. (Beach Access #12). Siesta Key Public Beach is just over a mile away and parking was impossible during spring break unless arriving before 10AM. No wifi in condo. Had to got to club house. No TV in guest bedroom. No hot tub in pool area. I'd recommend the place, but next time will be closer to beach access.

Not Good

The condo was nice, but the maintenance of the condo was not, Lights needed replaced, no towel holders in the master bathroom, no closets in the spare bedroom. No stoppers in kitchen sink, so sink could hold water. No linens in the condo when we got there, but did get towels or linens the next day. Found two dirty wash cloths on top of the shower curtain in master bath. Lid on the coffee pot was broken. Toilet paper holder was improperly installed in the spare bathroom and couldn't hold toilet paper roll. Electric plug on the patio is a shock hazard and needs repair.

According to the rental agreement the apartment was to have one soap per bathroom, dishwashing detergent, dishwasher detergent, one toilet paper per bathroom, that was what we understood per rental agreement, but there was no soap, dishwashing detergent,dishwaaher detergent, and only have a roll of toilet paper per bathroom,then you should not stated it on the agreement,state provide your on toiletries. The tub in the master bathroom is not even it lopsided and one side has sunk down,and very slippery and dangerous this should be fix before the next rental,someone can slip and fall. The landscape beautiful the directions and instruction to check in perfect. The photos exactly how the apartment was. The booking,check-in instructions and check out perfect. Our only issue was the defective tub and we had to go buy toiletries instead of bringing them from home. Overall stay good. We will recommend and be back when the tub is fixed. Thank you.

Thank you for your stay however the lease agreement does not state that whatsoever. "Landlord shall provide towels, linens, cups, knives, forks, spoons, dishes and other items as common use. Toilet paper, soap, dish detergent, laundry soap, shampoos, and other consumables are to be purchased by the Tenant. No reimbursement will be made for unused consumables left at the premises. If consumables exist at the premises when the Tenant arrives the Tenant is free to use them."

Great unit except for some minor problems

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for 9 nights. We specifically wanted a ground floor location so the kids could easily go out and play. This location was perfect for this and the condo felt very safe to be on the ground floor. Overall the condo was clean and very spacious for my family of 4. The grounds of the condo are well kept and the pool was clean. My wife and I even got the chance to play some billards in the main building. The location is good but wish there were closer beach accesses. This is nothing the condo owner can do, but important to note for other travelers. We ended up driving to the beach access 12 every morning since the walk was too long for the kids. There are tips only rides you can take and the trolley, but out of convenience and to carry the beach stuff it was easier to drive. The WiFi is really bad. The Internet speed is fine, but you basically have to stay in the master bedroom to keep a consistent connection (tried on multiple devices). The cost of a decent router is so cheap, this should not be a problem people should have. We ended up having to clean a bunch of dishes when we got there. There were about a dozen bowls, mugs, and utensils with caked on melted cheese. Not sure what the previous guests were doing with so much cheese but they obviously didn't take the time to clean up. We also found a half eaten hot dog in the fridge. Wish the cleaner spent a little extra time to give the fridge and cupboards a once over. Overall we were happy with our stay.

We will look into adjusting the wifi router location to provide better coverage within the home per your suggestion however you may have been attempting to connect to the communities Wifi and not the unit's. Great, affordable place to stay right on the Key

The rental process was very straightforward, and we loved the location. I will state some of the pros & cons from our stay in early March 2022. Pros: Lighting was good, and the fan in the second bedroom was nice. We had clean towels, clean sheets, and most surfaces were well taken-care of. The showers worked great, there was lots of seating, plenty of dishes and serving trays if we needed them. The check-in process was just arriving and unlocking the key from the lockbox on the door - very easy! As was checkout. This property seems mostly well-maintained, and we had pleasant (but delayed, as I messaged on a weekend) correspondence with the property owner. This was a very affordable option, considering Siesta Key rental prices, and is in walking distance of the beach and restaurants like Captain Curts. Having one provided parking spot was very convenient too. Cons: I will try to just name the big things. The front door sticks so horribly that we had difficulty getting in and out and locking the door properly. The condo door is located right next to the elevator, and people's voices traveled seamlessly through the door when waiting to use or exiting the elevator. We had an infrequent, but loud, unidentifiable beeping sound coming from the living room throughout our stay. The twin-size mattresses in the second bedroom were fairly uncomfortable, at least for adults. The master bedroom inner door handle kept dislodging and falling to the floor when pulled on to open the door. Overall, we would be happy to stay here again, especially if the property owner would be willing to fix up these features.

Highly disappointed in this unit: NO WIFI,few utensils, old bedding and towels, sliding door sticks, disposal was leaking and huge bowl under sink with gunk? no cleaning person saws this? washer shakes violently and loudly and can hear outside also rusted, master bedroom sink drips, furniture old and warm badly, shades were broken and had to be replaced, smoke detectors had to be replaced, all beach chairs broken and had to be replaced. Working with rent siesta key and the management was useless when it came to getting wifi and we were working from there. On our own we finally got to owner and during the last week we wifi and he would only give us 100 dollars which was terrible. NEVER RENT THIS UNIT NOR WOULD I USE RENT SIESTA KEY.

Nice place and good location. However if you need internet access look elsewhere.

Internet access was awful. Maximum connect time was less than 3 minutes before getting kicked off and very slow.

There is no WiFi in unit! Only at clubhouse and pool.

It seems like the place, towels could have been cleaner. All in all everything was as advertised. Nothing was said as to the need of a parking permit. Only found out after receiving a warning citation.

Thanks for staying at Bay Oaks - E01. Will check towels and replace as needed. There is no parking permit required this guest must not have parked in the designated spot.
