Nice house with pool in the heart of the village

Le Clos Pétronille is a lovely old tufa house on 3 levels. 2 bedrooms and an intimate garden with swimming pool await you.
The house is composed as follows:
Ground floor: entrance, kitchen, bathroom with toilet, living room.
First floor: bedroom (1 bed 140 x 190) with private terrace, a toilet
Second floor: mezzanine bedroom (1 bed 160 x 200 and an extra bed for 1 person).
The walled garden is shaded and furnished (barbecue and garden furniture) and has a 4x4 swimming pool with protective cover. You will be able to combine cultural visits and refreshing breaks as you wish!

Beautiful property, well equipped and we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Sadly the weather was not kind enough to use the pool but we sat out in the garden a couple evenings. The village is very peaceful and the abbey is stunning.

A brilliant place to stay, communication with the host was faultless. Proximity to the local amenities makes this house really stand out. It was so nice to be able to take a stroll into the village square for a drink in one of the local bars and to be able to cool off in the pool during the hot afternoons.

Idilic days in the Loire

We LOVED this house- everything that you need to have a comfortable holiday has been anticipated- the property is beautiful and the swimming pool is fantastic! Fontevraud-l’Abbaye is a very beautiful village and the nighttime sound and light show at the abbey is amazing. We loved the outdoor area, the BBQ, the bedrooms and the lounge. It’s a great location for a restful getaway in a beautiful area.

Our base for Loire valley vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Loire, and Fontevraud was perfect for day trip exploring the region. The apartment was lovely, roomy for our family of 4 adults. The small yard and pool were nice for enjoying a late afternoon pause. The town nearby is delightful. It was perfect for us!

Delightful, restful and peaceful.

We have a fantastic break in Fontevraud. Florence and Regis have made a beautiful property here, they are super helpful, everything we needed was to hand, and we had the restful and peaceful holiday we have needed for a while. We are most grateful.

Really comfortable - a home from home - spacious and lots of character. The courtyard garden and pool area catch the sun but also have shady seating areas. Bedrooms are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped. The living room has a big comfy sofa, there's good WiFi and lots of TV option (Netflix etc). We also made use of the bikes to explore nearby villages along the Loire.The house is just moments from the abbey and town square where there's a handy grocery shop, a boulangerie and a few restaurants.The owners are very helpful and speak great English. Highly recommended.

Perfection

The place was beautiful, the balance between old rustic charm and modern facilities was excellent. This was our 1st time using VRBO and it was easy to navigate. The house was clean, beautifully decorated and had everything you needed. The pictures did not do the house justice. It was so much better!!! The locals were very friendly and helpful and we made friends with Jim, the doggies neighbour. Sitting on the terrace which leads off the 1st floor bedroom, you can hear only the bird song and the church bells. The scent of the roses was sweet and delicate. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, you will not be disappointed. This place is 10 out of 10 x

Lovely property!

We stayed here for a week in July 2024 and really enjoyed our stay. The owners met us at check-in, were really friendly and approachable - answering any questions we had - and showed us around. The house has everything you could need and is really clean. During our time here we walked into the local village (there are restaurants and a small shop and there is also a small park for younger ones) and also ventured further afield to Beauval Zoo - this was well worth the visit. We visited the local abbey and places such as Saumur but also spent time by the pool in the garden. There is everything you could need such as a washer, dryer, pool toys, bikes for all the family, scooters and the house is well-equipped technology-wise such as having wireless chargers and access to Netflix (which our teenager did make use of!). The bedrooms are great and there is a lovely terrace off the second bedroom too. We had a great time here and would recommend to others. Thank you, Russ, Jo, Max and Dexter.

Vacances superbes dans un logement magnifique avec tout ce qu'il faut.

Maison avec jardin très jolie et très bien équipée. Nous avons profité de la piscine apres kes nombreuses visites aux alentours. Chateaux, caves, grottes troglodytes. Forteresse Abbaye ... Region fantatisque pour des vacances. Les propriétaires sont très à l'écoute si besoin et très sympathiques. Merci.

Séjour très agréable

Située à quelques mètres de la fameuse Abbaye de Fouvraud, la maison est superbement aménagée, très bien équipée, les propriétaires sont aux petits soins. Piscine extérieure, environnement calme, peut être trop pour des adolescents. Mais Saumur, plus animé, n'est pas loin! Le télétravail est effectivement possible et même facilité avec plusieurs lieux de raccordement. (Attention le réseau téléphonique ne passe pas bien avec certains opérateurs.) A recommander et à refaire!
