The Hatcher House was originally constructed in 1870. A breezeway and a new wing with the master bedroom and bath was added in 2015. The original breezeway was screened in and has recently been fully enclosed by double-pane glass windows allowing for a comfortable heated and air-conditioned living space. This breezeway is also unique because it served as the set of a key scene in a 2019 film starring Will Smith called Gemini Man.

Once inside, luxury accommodations & modern amenities in a historic marsh-front dwelling for 8 await. Features 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, and a game room can be converted easily to a 4th bedroom as it provides a full-sized murphy bed.

Please note, our nightly rate for Hatcher House is based on 6 people. There is a per person per night fee of $50 up to 8 maximum guests.

The Driftwood Hall at Emma's Driftwood Farm is an exciting addition for larger groups of guests on the property. The Driftwood Hall offers a common dining, or corporate and family meeting space, and or entertainment space, in a central climate-controlled location on the farm with views of the marsh and oaks to one side and the organic farm to the other. Driftwood Hall is a beautiful location to gather.

We had a great time with our adult children at this location. Highly recommend!! The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. I am an architect and truly loved all the attention to detail. We had 6 adults in our group but this could easily accommodate 8.

Amazing Stay!

We just had the most amazing stay. Communication with John and Chandler was excellent. The warm welcome with wine and a cheese platter was so unexpected and so appreciated. The property is beautiful and spotless. Upscale amenities and a gorgeous view. We didn’t want to leave.

Gorgeous and quiet

We loved our stay at this beautiful farmhouse. Its truly a luxury getaway, especially if you value privacy and nature. Very attentive and friendly hosts and top of the line finishes made this stay extra pleasant. The only suggestion for us (we cooked and ate in quite a bit) would be to add one more outdoor seating set for larger parties. The firepit was fabulous and the smore box well appreciated by all the kids!

Splendor on the Marsh

Beautiful setting with very interesting and well thought out accommodations. We slept 3 couples in Hatcher and entertained twelve easily. Lots of areas for various sized groups to mingle and re-mingle plus spaces to get away on your own for a bit. The pool and pool area were very nice but a little chilly to enjoy except for a few 'polar bears'. Handsome boardwalks and docks let you get up close in the marsh on walks. The game pavilion was a plus as well.

Peaceful retreat

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful farmhouse. The house is incredibly well equipped and has every amenity that we could ask for. We enjoyed the fireplace nightly. There is lots of outdoor space. The setting is serene and there is a beautiful view! John, the property manager, was awesome to work with and easy to reach. We really enjoyed this property! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

Isolated, beautiful and all the recharging we needed...

Our family of four (boys 14 and 9) needed a quick getaway and booked last minute for the weekend of the 4th of July. It's a little tricky to get to so trust the directions in the materials sent ahead of time and not your phone! The home was beautiful and welcoming. We were met with a bottle of wine and charcuterie. The rooms were all well appointed and more than comfortable. Much time was spent on the dock and we were lucky to share the company of dolphins each day. We didn't pay much attention to the bird watching info in the description until we woke our first morning to too many species to name! It really was just what we needed and would certainly go back.

Fantastic getaway!

This was one of our typical dream road trips! We stayed for 3 nights and wanted something to hang out as a family, daughters plus their boyfriends, cooking, board games, sitting around the fire, telling old stories, ... There are 4 crab traps, free to use at the second dock (the shorter one), just bring chicken as bait and you will have a feast in the evening! We caught around 20 crabs, bought some shrimp at a local seafood store, added some steaks and had the perfect dinner! Tip - go to Darien, Horse Creek Winery is the shop name, they have awesome steaks, lobster tails, farm fresh eggs, cigars, wine, .. Bring your own baguettes, there is no bakery around. We had a blast, and like my landsman Arnold Schwarzenegger says: I'll be back:)

Unique Georgia Experience

This is a unique Georgia coast property. You can spend days exploring the farm and it’s waterfront amenities. Or you can use it as your base of operations for off-site adventures. Our family of 5 and 2 dogs did both and it was the perfect balance. The Hatcher house is uber Instagram worthy, immaculate and had every comfort and modern amenity. The outdoor spaces: porches, patios and grand cauldron fire pit provided opportunity for all kinds of outdoor moments. John, the manager, was fantastic, checking in to make sure we were comfortable, answer questions and help us schedule offsite activities. This is really a special place, perfect for families or groups. They only opened in January and feel fortunate we found it. Can’t imagine there will ever be much vacancy...so check it out!

Exceptional Getaway

Everything about this property is top-notch. We spoke with John ahead of our visit, and were also provided with a guest guide with tons of information about the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a wine and cheese board, along with complimentary branded cups and coozies and a hat. The farmhouse is absolutely stunning, and super clean. The property is beautiful, with huge mature oaks, amazing views, and a very nice pier and dock area. One very important aspect about this house is that EVERYTHING is included! Coffee, sugar, creamer, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, towels and linens, and the list goes on. For the fire pit, there was plenty of wood and starter. All pots and pans, knives, etc. Fishing gear for the dock. Other than groceries, you won't need to bring anything with you. We spoke with John once during the stay, and once at checkout. He was super helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Using the information in the guest guide, we called Tasteful Temptations Catering and ordered a Brunch, fruit tray, and Low Country Boil. There was enough food for multiple meals, and it was delicious! We visited Jekyl Island and St. Simons Island during our three night stay, which were great day-trips. Fishing from the dock was fun, although I only caught one catfish. Emma's Driftwood Farm is truly a hidden gem. Book it, and you won't regret it!

Amazing

This place is amazing. If there was a pool I’m pretty sure I would never leave. The property manager, John, is gracious and helpful. The wonderful, thoughtful touches upon check in were much appreciated after our drive in. The kids loved the s’mores kits and the puppies loved their biscuits. The beds were comfortable, plush linens and pillows, and everything was super clean. There was so much to do-we stayed for 4 nights and did not leave the property. Our teenage sons were happy to be outside. We fished, played horse shoes, biked, walked, and just did nothing but hang out on the porches. The kids watched movies at night. The s’mores kit was a huge hit. The kitchen is well stocked and basic condiments, paper items, and coffee items were available. There is a gas grill, outdoor cooker for lowcountry boil or oysters, and a fire pit grate. The property is set up where you can be social with others or just be alone. The rum runner and Hatcher house are close and near one covered dock. The ranch house was tucked away with a small creek dock and then a large uncovered dock in a creek bend. We fished all docks and had some luck. The property is stunning! And I loved that they had a copy of Gemini Man for us to watch-it was crazy to see Will Smith on screen in the very room we were sitting in!!! You will not be disappointed if you book here-be ready to be spoiled and relax. The property and amenities make this place the perfect blend of Southern hospitality, town and country! Thank y’all and we hope to book a fall trip with the extended family!!!

Wonderful Secluded Getaway

Secluded yet close enough to Jekyll Island, St. Simon's Island and more! The property was beautiful and the house was more than we expected. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Pool was relaxing., beautiful area for runs/walks, property staff was exceptional. Large groups or small, the farm is a very unique place to celebrate anything you want to celebrate in life.

Beautiful farmhouse

We are repeat guests at the Hatcher House. This is an elegant farmhouse steeped in history. We love the solitude and natural beauty of this place! The house is very well equipped with high end touches and beautiful outdoor porches. John is a pleasure to work with! Birthday Getaway

We rented the Hatcher House for a long weekend getaway to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The house and overall property were amazing and we had a great time. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could need. The new pool was next to the house and just steps away. Everyone we encountered in town and on the property was very friendly. The farm would be a great place to host a large family event or wedding. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
