Stymest Suites on Main is a fully restored 120 year old historic building located in downtown Crowley. Entering the building you walk into the grand hall. surrounded by crystal chandeliers, columns, and a coffered ceiling. The apartment boasts 12' ceilings, original brick walls, antique wood floors through out. The front door exists directly to historic main street with local shops, boutiques, restaurants, bars, and a coffee house.

Beautiful Apartment

Reserved this apartment for the Golden Girls Sip n Stroll being held downtown Crowley. It was perfectly located in the heart of Downtown Crowley. The apartment was very clean and beautifully decorated. Very well maintained. Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Crowley.

Great place with historical delight

We really enjoyed our stay. Our morning walk around downtown Crowley was a lot of fun. The property itself was beautiful and well appointed. The only concern I would have is that I thought the beds were Queens and they felt like Full size beds. My 6'5 brother-in-law was not amused.

I would have preferred to receive check in information a little more in advance. Although when I wrote the host the day before he promptly wrote back. Upon arrival, the unit was not cleaned to a high standard like many other reviews claimed and some of the walls were dirty and had holes in them. It was not at all what we were expecting from the pictures. It also smelled strongly from the neighbor unit smoking pot. We sent some pictures to the host and thankfully was able to send over the property manager to swap us into a different unit (D). It was in much better condition. The remodeling work in these units is nice, new appliances and even a washer and dryer. Be careful if you are traveling with someone with mobility issues, the stairs are steep. Internet stopped working one day, but the owner quickly gave me other router/passwords to use. My biggest complaint with the new unit is that I couldn’t get my family to feel comfortable: we couldn’t get the heaters to work despite reading the manual online and adjusting the settings. And the train woke us up several times a night- the tracks are right by there and as the train passes through it honks the horn aggressively. We ended up leaving a day early. Based on the pictures and reviews I had high hopes for this place but it did not meet my expectations. Perhaps if I had not been traveling with my two little ones it might have been a better experience.

the space was very nice, but it was not clean. I was going to put items in the bathroom drawers, but the firat 2 I opened had a black string of hair in them. there was firt on the floor that waslikely from the vonstruction pn the deck. both beds had black soot on them, I assume from the units on the ceiling. the bigger issue is wefivured out the the door code to out room was thr same as the others, then we did not feel comfortable leaving valuables when we were gone. would have liked instructions on the heat!/air system. anote on wifipassword wouldhave been much easier than trying to reD off the messages on the iPhone.

The door code was absolutely not the same as the other doors. Entry to the unit was clear and concise. We even called you and offered to have someone meet you there to go over instructions on how to use the door code. All of the items you “wish” would have been given to you were clearly on your check in instructions in which I sent twice because as you said in one of your 30 messages to me that “you couldn’t find them”. I am truly sorry that we fell below your expectations but with some people (above and beyond) just isn’t enough.

Lovely property in historic building

Beautifully decorated property newly renovated with impressive finishes Steps to the Opera House where we celebrated my sons July Rehearsal/wedding/reception Plentiful hot water however our air conditioner struggled to keep up in the unusually hot July summer -I could see the new more energy efficient windows were waiting to be installed on the front balcony and no doubt will help keep the living/kitchen room cooler once installed -fortunately we were so busy With all the wedding festivities we hardly stayed in our apartments Although we had just enough of what we needed for our stay this- property lacked the more than enough supplies other VRBO properties had Perhaps the host could in the future supply more than one replacement trash bag and more products to help us help them keep our rooms more tidy These are all small things that can be done to make the next guests stay more easy All said this is a lovely property in a beautiful setting and the host has done a fantastic renovation job these properties will not easily disappoint

Beautiful Property! Would love to stay again

This apartment was a perfect spot in downtown Crowley, we walked to the Vanilla Bean for coffee and we shopped at the stores up and down the street. The kitchen was beautifully done and had everything we needed for the weekend. We were thrilled to have a full size washer and dryer too so that we could run a load of laundry before heading home. Our only suggestions would be for the property manager to update the listing, the beds are not queen sized, they are full size. Which isn’t a huge deal, but that should be accurate in case it causes an issue for others. And it says that it sleeps up to 6, but there is no where else for an additional 2 guests to sleep. We brought an air mattress for our two boys so that they had a place to sleep, otherwise we would have been in a pickle. It is a beautiful, clean, classy apartment that we would love to stay in again.

Gorgeous and Charming!

Since we had nowhere to stay while visiting family this year, we chose this place as a "middle ground" and it did not disappoint. The suite is beautiful and the charm of the original architecture coupled with modern conveniences and upgrades made us want to stay longer. The location was nice; although because of thunderstorms we didn't get to really take in the sites, shops, etc. that we would have liked to - I'm sure that would've been a lot of fun. The property manager was especially accomodating since I had a few requests and probably bugged him to death about it. However, he was very professional and considerate throughout all of our communication. I would definitely recommend this place and we hope to visit again the next time we travel to Louisiana to see our family.
