This completely remodeled home is a GEM with a lake view like no other. ISTOKPOGA is one of the fifth largest lakes in Florida. Home has a full size hibachi style grill in the kitchen. Spend time with your family while fishing with your friends. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths with a large living room and a wood deck off the back for enjoying the serene sunsets. Exterior gas grill and newly build fire pit and the end of the property . Custom built cabinets in the kitchen, hard wood floors , new windows, bathrooms completely redone and home has a brand new metal roof. Owner has cleared the underbrush leaving the old oak trees for shade. Bring your boat and tie it up in our 24x28 boathouse.

Amazing View

My family and I came up from South Florida for a weekend getaway from the fast life of a bigger city. The house lived up to our expectations, wide open area with lots of seating arrangements (all very comfortable). Amazing lake view, very cozy bonfire area. The communication with the Codia was great, very responsive. We highly recommend it, we will be back ... Rafael North Miami Beach, FL

Tranquil Getaway

Great home. Very peaceful and quiet. Not much cell phone signal at the house, but wifi was great. Host communication was also great. Please know that hibachi grill has 2 broken burners (of 4 total). Still functions well, but certainly would not be ideal if you have a big group. Overall great stay.

Not impressed

The property needs to be professionally cleaned. Refrigerator, microwave and counter all had food particles left behind from previous occupants. Baseboards are dirty, nothing had been dusted, cob webs in the corners and behind doors. The kitchen was not well stocked, no frying pans at all and other pans were limited. The flattop was extremely stained. We went and bought an electric skillet. The advertised cable or satellite TV but only had a smart TV. There was a cable box and remote to give the appearance of cable but it did not work. When owner / owner rep was contacted regarding issues they responded they would look into issue, but then went radio silent. Ruined some of our clothing due to water softener not working. Took them a week and half to get someone to come look at it. They had bath towels but no wash clothes. Although the view is spectacular, I don't believe it is enough.

Beautiful view at Buddy Lane

The view was awesome! My husband brought his boat and went out fishing every day & back again at night. Excellent experience!

Peaceful and wonderful!

The photos of this little lake house don’t do it justice! The view from the porch is absolutely incredible at all times of day. We got up early one morning to watch the sunrise and it was breathtaking. There’s a ton of interesting local wildlife and several gorgeous cranes that hangout near the house. The common areas are large and comfortable and cooking on the hibachi grill is quick, easy and fun. The porch is huge and great for sitting and drinking coffee in the morning and cocktails at night. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms nicely remodeled. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet retreat in a lovely, quaint little town. Codia was very responsive to all questions and was an excellent host. 10 out of 10 experience!

Perfect.

What a great stay we had at the lake house! The space was comfortable and cozy with a great view of the lake through the wall-to-wall window. The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds and pillows were super comfortable and the master bedroom was even equipped with a TV. Our favorite spot was the back porch, which has two rocking chairs were we sat to enjoy our morning coffee while reading. The place is really quiet with lots of wildlife, 3 Sandhill Cranes approached the porch one morning to say hi. There’s a fire pit by the lake with two benches where we sat for a while to take it all in. Perfect spot to get away, we can’t wait to go back. Although we didn’t meet Codia in person, she answered immediately every time we reached out and was very flexible with the check-in/check-out. Simply perfect.

Istokpoga lakehouse

This was a clean well kept lakehouse with a covered boat dock and a great view that well served our needs. Too bad we only stayed for 3 days. We would have been able to enjoy all the amenities. The property manager even went out of their way to mail forgotten items to us after we left. I would recommend this property and hope to book it again next season.

Great location!

House was beautiful and clean. Awesome view overlooking the lake. Beautiful sunrises. Very friendly neighbors. Owner is very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Quiet getaway

My fiance and I spent the weekend at Codia's property and got exactly what we were looking for.. rest and relaxation. The pictures really do no justice to how beautiful the view of the lake is and how incredibly spacious and relaxing the porch is. We spent almost our entire time sitting on the porch watching all of the wildlife during the day and there was plenty of it! Simply beautiful. The master bed was more comfortable than our mattress at home which was also a definite plus. Codia was also very sweet and a pleasure to talk to when sorting everything out for the trip. The only negative was that we stayed during peak mosquito season, so if you wind up staying around this time we definitely recommend bug spray! There were lots of mosquitos in the backyard so we couldn't really hang out outside on the porch during the night to view the stars. We brought our two dogs with us which also made it a little more difficult when trying to keep the house mosquito free with having to take the them in and out during the night. I would highly recommend this property if you want some peace and quiet. We are definitely keeping this on our favorites list for future visits. Thanks for a lovely stay Codia!

Peaceful getaway

Location, location. The lake view and its constant wildlife show, the fire pit that seems to jut out into the marsh and the overall serenity of this property make it truly outstanding. A restaurant style hibachi griddle and the fact that well behaved pets are allowed, are an added plus. Friendly neighbors too!

Just needed a place to getaway, so one night while I couldn't sleep I came across this house and fell in love. I asked my best friend to do a road trip with me and when we got there, he loved it as well. We bought the home together to better afford the property and thats how the story begins.
