Great getaway

This was the perfect location to stay the weekend, pick up our kids from Frontier Camp across the lake, and enjoy the water. House was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Host was responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Retreat

This was exactly what we were looking for, it is very peaceful and relaxing. There is a shallow area at the dock for the kids to play in safely. The property manager was great to work with. We do plan on visiting again

Perfect for Families

This house was perfect for two families of 5. The shallow area in front of the house was great for the younger kids and the big kids enjoyed the kayaks and floating by the dock. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfy. There were a ton of board games and the porch was great for relaxing.

May get away vacation

Lovely home overlooking water. We enjoyed summer, fall and spring in one long weekend. Swam, fished and the enjoyed cool weather after a much needed rain! It was perfect.

Beautiful spacious home, perfect location!

We had the best time at Life is Better at The Lake! This home was perfect for our Father’s Day trip. It’s spacious and clean and was even better than what the photos show. The kitchen was very well stocked which was great. The back porch was so lovely with comfortable furniture and a great view. We loved watching deer roam around the yard in the mornings and evenings! And the sunsets were to die for. The fishing dock was great (my husband caught a nice bass!) and we enjoyed floating in the lake. It was a great weekend and the house was PERFECT!

Houston County Lake property

Absolutely outstanding. Everything about the house, property, the property manager, the amazing view, and the peaceful neighborhood, were all perfect. I highly recommend this property to anyone interested. Extremely pleased and grateful for the opportunity to stay here.

Great lake house to relax and enjoy the sunsets

Spent Fathers Day weekend together with lifelong friends. We fished the lake and swam in the nice sandy dock area. House was very comfortable and well stocked. The Nintendo Wii game was the highlight for us all. Lots of great family memories made. The view is beautiful and the sunsets were amazing to watch from the porch. Owner is very responsive and friendly. We didn't have access to use the boat house for our boat but it all worked out. (We didn't ask or communicate we would be bringing our boat.) This home is definitely on our list to visit again.

Family retreat for wedding in Crockett Texas

We had a wonderful time at the Morris family retreat. Great house and fantastic location on Houston County Lake. Beautiful views to include deer wondering across the property between the house and the lake shore. Great with a fresh cup of coffee or the beverage of choice from a rocking chair on the back covered porch. Beds were reported to me to be very comfortable. The layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Open concept from kitchen through dining and living to great view of the lake. Very clean property throughout. Close enough to Crockett venues and a beautiful East Texas drive on good roads. An absolutely fantastic weekend and it will be a first choice for any future stays in the Crockett area.

Perfect for us!

The Morris Retreat has the BEST layout for a multi family stay. With the expansive, well stocked kitchen, large table plus stools, the great room style tv room with sliders out to a large deck .. there is plenty of space for everyone! The 4 bedrooms / 3 baths are on either side of the center area - for nice privacy and noise control. The furniture on the deck was so comfortable I was looking for the label so I could order for my own deck! The lake was calm and the wildlife plentiful! Our only challenge was the AT&T cell service around the lake is lacking ... we adjusted w vpn calling. Randy was a responsive host ... super easy to deal with! If we ever have another party in Crockett we'll stay again!!

Wonderful lake house

Great location on the Lake - nestled into its own little cove. The house was perfect for our size group and had a great kitchen/dining/living area. Will definitely be staying there again!
