Wake up to spectacular views through the giant front windows. Enjoy a day of fun and activities on the Lake and wrap up your day in the cozy home nestled into the mountainside. The private carriage house (above a detached garage) features a downstairs master bedroom with a queen bed, downstairs bedroom with a bunk bed with trundle and additional twin bed (4 twin beds), and spacious and beautiful upstairs open loft with a queen bed. Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, outdoor grill and picnic area, and comfortable living area featuring gorgeous views. The private dock is shared with the lake house across the street (which can also be rented to accommodate a larger party, see https://www.vrbo.com/2110382?unitId=2674916). Enjoy an unforgettable getaway on the most beautiful lake in the country. There is a mooring buoy available for your boat, if needed.

As advertised, great view in a great location on a quiet road. Perfect for a weekend with friends. Did some hiking on the tongue range on one day the explored Fort Ticonderoga and relaxed at the carriage house and the beach the next. Everything was clean and easy to find with good instructions and good communication all around. We would stay here again without question.

The carriage house was exactly as described. The view was amazing. We woke up to the most tranquil view of Lake George. The home had enough room for two kids to stretch out and have their own space. The location was quiet where we spent some quality time strolling through the neighborhood. Melissa was a wonderful host. She was considerate and anticipated all our needs.

Never wanted to leave

Our stay at this home was nothing short of amazing. When we arrived, we entered the home to a refreshing colt temperature as the a.c was left on prior to our arrival. The house was immaculate, and well taken care of. I am already looking into booking for a future rental for our family vacation. There are a lot of stairs from the home to the dock so be prepared if you are using the dock. Also needed to place a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs to prevent my little one from going up. The aforementioned aren’t complaints about the property, just general information for anyone with a young family so you are prepared for your stay. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Very pleased two small things

Overall, stay was very good. One small thing that wasn’t clear was the mooring for the boat. It was not directly in front of the dock at all I thought I might have to use one of the neighbors if it was necessary. Fortunately, it did not become necessary because the folks that stayed on the property right on the water did not have a boat The only other thing I think is worth mentioning for people who have Boats is that your water inlet is directly in front of the dock and may be an obstruction for people coming into use the dock causing an unintended issue

Family Time

We chose this rental because it was close to where other family members were staying. Our daughter and her husband and little girl spent the first weekend with us and had a wonderful time. The carriage house was clean and comfortable with wonderful views of the lake. We enjoyed our week there. We had thought to bring a child gate with us to keep our little granddaughter from climbing the stairs to the loft. They are a little steep and she's a climber. We were glad we had that with us. I really appreciated that bedding and towels (very nice ones) were provided for us. I found the kitchen to be just right for our needs, well supplied with cooking utensils and dishes. We did not use the lake access for the carriage house because other family members had water frontage at their houses and the nearby beach was perfect for our little one to experience her first swim in a lake. We had a good week and look forward to returning in the future.

Disappointed

The place was in a nice location. It was an older home and should have some upgrades done. There was a problem with the septic system. The tub wasn’t draining. We had to pull out tons of hair gunk out of the shower drain the size of a baseball. Cleaners and property manager obviously don’t clean/look at these things The stove is very old and we wouldn’t use the oven as it was very dirty. Tons of cob webs and spiders. Needless to say we didn’t get much sleep and left early. I don’t like to give bad reviews but I definitely wouldn’t go back. Sorry.

The Town of Ticonderoga was able to resolve the sewer alarm issue, which I really appreciate you bringing to my attention during your stay. I am sorry you had issues with the shower drain and experienced housekeeping issues and will ensure those concerns are addressed promptly. While our first hope is that no issues arise, we always appreciate the opportunity to address issues during your stay so it can be as comfortable and wonderful as possible.

First-time Renting

The pictures were as accurate as possible. The space is tight, sleeps more than we had but not sure it would be comfortable. Very clean, ton of linens, well stocked kitchen w/dishes, etc. Bottle of Adirondack Winery Pinot was very gracious! Host was great! WIFI was perfect, was able to do some work remotely on the rainy days. Kids able to watch their streaming services as well. We were concerned about sharing dock but we loved the other family in the main house from a dock sharing perspective. So friendly and gregarious! Great people. Host provided recreational items which was awesome! One draw back was work being done on water wall. Big barge, etc, blocking view but that will be resolved by completion of work. Unfortunately we had alot of rain and due to the lack of air conditioners; carriage house was damp. I would recommend adding room ac's to second bedroom, and loft. There is one in master bedroom, which helped. Parking was also tight. We had 2 cars, but host was very transparent with that, much appreciated. While the windows are floor to ceiling and provide a nice view; you're literally on the road, so people walking see in and literally say hello. I recommend vertical blinds for some added privacy. Overall, property was as described, host was very accessible and waterview from dock beautiful.
