Short get away

Very nice. Had everything we needed large kitchen and living area. Loved being on river. Excellent help in everything we needed

As advertised

Good property for a fishing vacation. Lake out the back door and viewable from the deck. Not much for kids to do if not fishing with family. There are dogs in the neighborhood but we didn’t have a problem with them. Over all a nice house with lots of room and everything was as advertised. Plenty of towels and pots and pans. Overall a good experience.

Family vacation

Place was clean, and fishing was great.The only thing i would even complain about at all, would be that it is very warm in every area of the house, except the back bedroom. Maybe add an ac, or try to get the one in living area cool better. Everything else was wonderful.

Needs updated

The house was comfortable except the cool mornings there is no furnace but there is a wood stove and a wall heater ,the wall heater I couldn’t get working I really feel that the outside was completely a mess and you are right next door to a very large dog that would not stop barking if you was out side for any reason I believe withe a little more attention to the property my stay would have been much better

Nice fishing cabin.

This property is perfect for relaxing and fishing, away from the crowds. I honestly wish we had more time there to just hang out and fish. We were in the area for a family reunion so we didn't get to fish much. If your expecting the Ritz this is not the place for you, but if your on a budget and need a nice place to stay with friends and family, its perfect. Lots of room for guests to hang out together and relax. We would happily stay there again.

Very Disappointed

We were very disappointed, especially for what we paid. The property inside and out was filthy. The house smelled like mildew, the couches had a film of mildew on them, the towels smelled like mildew, stains on carpet, kitchen and dishes was filthy, outside furniture was dirty and mildewed. The house is a fishing camp that seemed like no one had been there in a very long time. The house is squeezed between 2 other camps and has a broken down deteriorating pontoon boat sitting in the water in front of place. Also, a chicken in a coop in front of house that had no water, of course we gave it water.

Not as pictured/smoked in home

We only stayed one night, we originally booked for two. One of the ladies was allergic to cigarette smoke and the house reeked of cigarette smoke. The pictures are not how we found the house, we had to call to confirm as there were chickens in a cage in the front of the house, it appeared we arrived at someone’s home, not a rental. There was food in the fridge, personal items in the closets, left over towels in the back bathroom, and towels in the dryer.

On the water

Check in was very easy. Owner very nice as well and quick to respond to my question. There is no central air, only two window units so in the heat of August the house was properly cooled minus the 2nd bedroom, hall bath which can get toasty. Pictures kind of confused me regarding sleeping arrangements, but one big bedroom has two queen beds and the second bedroom has one twin bed. There is a bunk bed off in the den area. Some food was in the fridge that wasn't ours, there is no dishwasher but the house is clean. Lots of bugs on the back porch with it being on the water but that is expected. We enjoyed the firepit, and riding the few minutes to sardis dam. Didn't talk to neighbors, but everything was quiet. Not many restaurants around that we could find. Said hello to the chickens in the coop out front. It was a nice stay.

Lovely place right on the water! We had a blast!

Was the perfect place for me and my family! Neighbor was very friendly and it is right on the lower lake! Didn't catch much, but there are tons of baby catfish that were fun for the kids to catch! Awesome place; definitely recommend!

A good time

We had a great stay outside of the place could’ve been cleaned up a little bit and the deck needs a little fixing but it wasn’t terrible. It had all the house goods we needed, great and friendly neighbors, fully furnished and great high seed WiFi. I didn’t have to sign into my account on Netflix because they were nice enough to share. I also loved being right on the water. Over al l I had a great experience and it was a wonderful stay.

Sardis Fishing

Fish are always biting. Lots of little ones, but fun to catch. House is okay. Both bathrooms updated with large showers. Nice. Kitchen and living room area very spacious. Parking for a crowd, especially with boat trailers, not ideal. Overall though, the stay was comfortable . Would go back again!

Quiet location, awkward stay

Our stay at this property was OK. The beds and bathrooms were satisfactory, but the kitchen was not acceptable. The refrigerator was half full of items from alcohol, condiments, random foods, to a pitcher of something that was growing mold. Whether these items were left by the owner or other guests, they were clearly not left for consumption by us. It made it very difficult to fit our food and drinks into the refrigerator, not to mention unsanitary. We found rat feces on a cutting board while cooking on the second day and upon further investigation, we noticed more of it in other kitchen drawers and on other cooking equipment. With the house's main feature being that it is a lakefront rental with talks of the deck, we were very shocked to not find even a single chair for sitting out and enjoying the fresh air. Had it been noted that there were no outdoor seating/ tables, we would have packed our own. Overall, it felt as if we were awkwardly staying in a very lived -in-house where the owners were to be coming home any second. It by no means had an "BnB" or rental feel.
