Finca Santa Lucía sits on the eastern side of the Cordilelra de El Bálsamo or "Cumbre de Comasagua" and is only 20 minutes away from our capital city, San Salvador. The "Cordillera" or "Cumbre" has been an overlooked secret destination for many decades, but the area has been enjoying more visitors during the last years as restaurants and accommodations pop up.
Our finca Santa Lucía is only 40 minutes away from our western coastline and the surf beaches of El Tunco/El Sunzal, El Zonte and KM59. This makes it a natural, relaxing, and cool weather retreat for beach tourists and surfers that want a day's break from the extreme heat and sun. It is actually so close that one could "go down" surfing to the beach in the morning, have brunch, drive up in the afternoon to enjoy a good regionally grown cup of coffee in front of a specctacular view at 1,250 metres above sea level (4,000 feet). End your day with some hot Pupusas (our delicious cheese and bean filled tortillas), cool weather and clean air, and a good night's sleep. Next day you just do it all over again:)
The Finca is also only 5 minutes away from the Cordilelra's capital, Comasagua, a sleepy coffee farming town with all basic ammenities available. We are a short ride to other mountain towns such as Tamanique , Talnique, Jayaque, and Chiltiupán. Minutes away are also restaurants serving good food, ambience, and views so far as your eyes can see. The whole area is safe and guarded by rural police stations planted along the road.
