I’m sorry the cabin was not to your liking. However, I do want to clarify that there is nothing dangerous about the property, and guests are provided with thorough instructions, including where all interior lighting is located. The couch and furnishings were selected intentionally to match the rustic style of the cabin, which is part of its character and appeal. I take great pride in keeping the cabin clean, well cared for, and welcoming, and I work very hard to keep both the cabin and farm updated so guests can have the best experience possible. While I’m sorry it did not meet your personal expectations, I stand behind the care and effort that goes into this property.

I need to correct several important impressions created by this review because the timeline described here does not reflect what actually occurred. This guest shortened her reservation before she ever arrived at the property. That decision was not made because of the cabin, air conditioning, lighting, trail, or any other condition she experienced during her stay. I promptly refunded the nights she had canceled before arrival. She then arrived and stayed for the entirety of her revised reservation. Throughout that stay, she did not contact me with a single concern about the air conditioning, cleanliness of the filter, exterior lights, window coverings, cabin size, trail, or anything else described in this review. Had any issue been brought to my attention, I would have addressed it. For that reason, I was extremely surprised to read this account afterward. The statement that she “had to cut” her stay in half, followed by reference to my refund, creates an impression that she left early because of the conditions described in the review. That is incorrect. The reservation was shortened before she arrived, and she completed the stay she had booked. We have welcomed many guests to this property and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback about their experiences. I take legitimate guest concerns seriously, but I also believe it is important to correct the record when a review gives future travelers an inaccurate impression of what took place.
