Be swept away by an unparalleled panoramic ocean view the moment you enter this private house. The floor plan is open with a fully equipped modern kitchen which features a tiled center island. The comfortable living room offers full view windows perfect for whale watching.
Light the wood stove or turn up the thermostat for heating.
The bathroom features a natural slate walk in shower.
Awake to the ocean view from the queen bed.
The spacious grounds are landscaped with rock gardens and a large lawn area.
Watch the sunset and surfers from the multilevel decks.
This is the perfect place to unwind and relax.
Due to County and State requirements related to COVID-19 for certification we can not operate the hot tub at this time.

This gorgeous property sits right on a bluff overlooking the ocean with breathtaking views of seastacks, Trinidad and Trinidad Harbor. I have traveled the world extensively and the views from this property are as beautiful as any place I've been. The inside is spacious with an open floor concept, there is a huge bay window, and there is a large deck and adjacent grassy yard plus a hot tub. The interior trim is wood with tile floors and stone walls in the bathroom. THe owners have outfitted the house with everything a guest could want, with a fully equipped kitchen, plates and bowls, and multiple types of drinkware. The check in process was easy - just getting the code to the lockbox with the key. The property instructions are clear and simple, taking only one page. I absolutely loved staying here and will do so again. For visitors to this area the property is close to dining and shopping in Trinidad and is also close to multiple parks including Sue-meg, the Lagoons, Redwood State Park, Prairie Creek State Park, to name just a few. The airport is very close, only a few miles away, and McKinleyville, Arcata and Eureka are only 10-20 minutes away. If you need only one bedroom, this is the place to stay!

The view! This house is all about the view, overlooking the ocean, listening to the sounds and enjoying being outside. The house was perfect for 2, great shower, bed was comfortable. Location was great to explore the south end of Redwoods NP.

THE VIEW

This was our most fun rental ever! Everything you need, great location, comfortable AND THAT VIEW. We sat outside and just watched the ocean.

Perfect spot by the sea

It looks like a garage from the road, but inside it’s a lovely little house - comfortable, convenient, clean. But the view! Incredible. The kitchen is well equipped and you can gaze at the ocean while you cook.

Magnificent property. Beautiful views and incredibly comfortable accommodations. Just perfect for our five night stay. Loved the proximity to the Redwoods. The home is beautifully furnished. Can’t say enough about the gorgeous home away from home.

My husband and I loved our stay in the Garage House! It truly is the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. The view is absolutely incredible, the house is very well-stocked and comfortable, and the hot tub was wonderful to use at the end of the day. Trinidad is just a short drive away for meals out and grocery runs. We will definitely return to this VRBO rental!

Great place with gorgeous ocean views!

The place was very nice, clean, and the yard and views of the ocean were great. The litlle town of Trinidad is so pretty and had a couple of great restaurants that we really enjoyed.

Excellent stay

Everything about this property was perfect. The attention to detail was phenomenal. We wanted for nothing. If we thought we needed something it was there for our convenience. The views were the best I have ever seen. I would definitely stay there again. We were sad to leave. It was the perfect getaway. Thank you so much

A little piece of paradise

We cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Garage House! Originally intended only as the home base for our trip to the Redwood National Forest, the Garage House quickly became a main highlight of our trip. The view of the ocean, waking up to the sounds of the waves, and sitting in the hot tub after a long day of hiking were moments that we deeply treasured. The cherry on top, was the location. The town of Trinidad and its local businesses like the Beachcomber, Kayak Trinidad, and the Trinidad Bay Gallery and Eatery were true gems. If we ever have the chance, we would love to stay here again.

Amazing View, Cute House

The view of the ocean is picturesque. The outdoor space is lovely and had a nice little hot tub. The place was clean and convenient to Trinidad and not too far from Redwood.
