Charming in every way, this ocean view property invites you to spend your mornings on the patio, your days exploring the plethora of natural amenities that our area offers, and your evenings on our western-facing deck watching the sunset with a wine glass in hand. Extra clean, with an abundance of natural light, and a fully-equipped kitchen with everything that you would need for a short or a long- term stay , and the hot tub available to you is PRIVATE and for your exclusive use. This unit also contains a bonus room with a queen size pullout bed that sleeps two. Ocean's Edge is the southern unit in this duplex property.

Ocean's Edge is fantastic! It's the best maintained, cleanest, and well-equipped rental that we've experienced! Andy has put tremendous thought and care into every aspect of the property. The views are amazing! The location is convenient - an easy drive to the redwoods and scenic coastal areas. We highly recommend the house!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean’s Edge. The home was not only clean and comfortable, but clearly maintained with pride and care. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed—there were snacks and cold water waiting for us, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long drive.The house had everything we needed—and then some. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with every gadget imaginable, plus paper towels, napkins, condiments, coffee, and more. It’s rare to find a rental where you don’t have to run out for the basics on day one. Here, we could just relax.And speaking of relaxing: the views were stunning, the hot tub was heaven, and the mattresses were hands-down the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced in a vacation rental. Both my wife and I were dealing with recent back injuries, and between the beds and the hot tub, this place should honestly bill itself as therapeutic.The owner, Andy, was communicative, kind, and responsive, and the instructions for everything were clear and helpful. You can tell this place isn’t just a rental—it’s cared for.We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly, highly recommended.

Ocean’s Edge is one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed in. Andy has thought of and provided everything you could possibly need. The furniture and beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked . Great location also with a beautiful view of the ocean. We hope to return!

Don't be alarmed driving thru the area on your way to this place. This place is safe and so cute! When the fog let up, we enjoyed watching the sunset at night and the tide rolling in and out of the river. The hot tub was clean and a perfect touch to a cool August day. My daughter was obsessed with the egg chair. Perfect spot to curl up with a blanket and read a book. Beds were a bit firm but comfortable. Daughter loved the pull out couch, said it was comfortable. Every time I would need something, it was there. Fan for the rooms, extra blankets, foil, sandwich bags, extra towels for the hot tub, a couple laundry pods, even had umbrellas if needed! Andy was quick to respond with any need or request. It was the perfect stay and a perfect way to redeem my last vrbo experience.

The view is spectacular. The house is modern, comfortable, and everything works great. The laundry and bathrooms are well stocked. The kitchen is furnished with everything we could need and has more varieties of tea than I knew existed. The dining room table seats 8 comfortably. The house’s central location allowed for easy travel north and south to see the Red Woods. And there is only a 5 minute drive to groceries and restaurants. We can’t say enough about how impressed we are with the rental and the attentiveness of Andy.

Amazing Beach Property

We recently stayed in this property with our kids and had a great time. The property was as described and the view was breathtaking. The home was very nice and very well stocked. They thought of everything. The property manager was very responsive. We highly recommend this one.

Our family loved everything about this unique property and have even stayed here before. It has all the hotel amenities and then some. It is incredibly quiet - save for the sound of the ocean. The yard overlooking the river and ocean is gorgeous. We spent hours out there. It is within close distance to all the fun things to do in Humboldt County. The beds are extremely comfortable.

Cozy Oasis with a View

Each time we stay, we are reminded why this rental feels like home: the space is comfortable for a family and well-appointed, with a lush yard and spectacular views of the river and the ocean. And there is a beautiful trail to explore just steps away! Such a special place!

Well appointed coastal gem

We spent a week at Ocean’s Edge and enjoyed our stay immensely. The kitchen was better stocked with kitchen tools than any other rental we’ve stayed at. The property was very clean and tidy. We particularly enjoyed the rocking chairs in the den while watching the rain and the ocean. We will definitely stay here again!

Loved everything about this property! It is beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. It is also probably one of the most well equipped houses I’ve ever rented. Lots of thoughtful touches including robes, coffee, and snacks! Loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of exploring. Will definitely come back!

If you are exploring Northern California - Stay here!

Andy’s 2 bedroom 1.5 bath half duplex has everything you need and more for your stay. Extremely clean, modern and comfortable, we didn’t need anything more. Overly stocked with basic supplies, you just need your main groceries. Beautiful ocean views, a 5 minute drive to groceries and town supplies. Andy himself was very responsive, even though we didn’t need anything more from him. The 9pm hot tub rule was not an inconvenience at all, as we rescheduled our evening for late dinners by the fire table. Thanks again for the great stay.

Excellent beach side view

Very clean, perfect for a family or friends. Phenomenal view of Mad River and the ocean. Very comfortable. Cozy and relaxing backyard. Highly recommend for a beach get away. Only a ten minute drive to clam beach or 15 minutes to Trinidad beach. You can’t get directly to the beach from this house but it’s such a lovely home and view you don’t even care about the short drives to the beach. Redwood forest hikes are only 30 minutes away. The house has every amenity too!

Beautiful ocean view!

This was a beautiful ocean view rental! There were so many items already here for us which made it so much easier. Highly recommend this place. Our kids did wish there would have been direct access to the bay but we did find the trail to get down there. My family enjoyed the hot tub sunsets!

Great house with a view

We stayed two nights while touring the redwoods. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. The owners had thought of every little detail to make this place like a home while on vacation. Beautiful view-wish the water was accessible from the property.

I am a Humboldt County resident that has lived between Trinidad and McKinleyville most of my life. I retired a few years back after owning my own cabinet manufacturing business for the past 30 years. These days I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors. A few of the hobbies that I enjoy the most are landscaping, painting, traveling and I recently started playing guitar again.
