SunDestin 0505 by Scenic Stays

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: AMENITY CLOSINGS EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 2025

SunDestin Beach Resort is currently undergoing exterior construction around the property. The indoor pool, outdoor pool, and on-site restaurant are projected to be closed until the beginning of January 2026.

Please be aware that construction activity may result in noise between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily. Our goal is to keep you informed ahead of time so you can make the most of your stay with us.

Parking in the main lot may be limited. Please note that the drive-through area at the main lobby entrance, typically used for loading and unloading luggage, may be temporarily closed. Each one-and two-bedroom condo is allowed one vehicle only. Any additional cars will need to park in the overflow lot across the street.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding as the resort works to improve and enhance the overall guest experience.

Amenities abound at SunDestin Beach resort - some include outdoor and indoor pools (heated seasonally) to enjoy the sun without the sand in our outdoor hot tub, And a gift shop to grab souvenirs for everyone back home! Additional seasonal amenities include beach chairs, and umbrella rentals (for an extra fee). SunDestin has a 24-hour front desk where the Scenic Stays team is always available for anything you need.

SunDestin 505 is an updated one-bedroom condo with breathtaking views of the waters of the gulf. When you walk into the condo, you’ll pass the bedroom and two bathrooms- one full and one half. A fully equipped kitchen is located at the end of the hall with everything you need to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. An open concept living and dining room offers seating for four at the bar and a comfortable sofa and armchairs. Enjoy the flatscreen TV with a DVD player in the living room at the end of a day exploring the Destin area. Outside, the balcony has seating for two and is the best spot to enjoy the views of the Emerald Coast. With a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area and a king-sized bed in the master, there’s enough room for up to four guests in this condo.

Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

SunDestin lies right in the middle of Destin, so many popular attractions are just minutes away. Big Kahuna’s Water Park and The Track are less than a mile from the resort. We can’t wait to welcome you to SunDestin 505- start planning your trip today!

Great place to stay!

The location is PERFECT. Beach is right downstairs. The balcony was so nice to hang out on. Near tons of restaurants. We had such a great stay here!

Great vacation!

This was my family’s first trip to the beach in many years and we had the best time! There were many restaurants and things to do close by. Our condo was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again the next time we come to Destin!

We had a great time at Sundestin. Great location, condo was perfect for our little family of 3. A couple items (sink disposal didn’t work, dresser was removed prior to our stay due to needing replacement) but overall it was clean, great view, all good! Access to the beach plus the pools, restaurant and tiki bar were great features.

Great place great location

Great buikding in a great location. Heart of Destin, near all the best restaurants, beaches and attractions. Construction was mentioned before I booked but the outdoor pool was closed which was a surprise. All in all great place, and I’m sure the ongoing improvements will make it better.

Great resort. Great Price.

The workers were beyond nice here! The gym area, pool areas, and beach was perfect. The location was in the middle of everything so it was PERFECT! The bathroom could use some fixes such as the shower and shower head—just dated. Besides that, I’ll be staying here again!

Small repairs needed

Perfect view and very clean! All staff were super friendly my only complaints is the toilet in our room leaked and ran the whole time and the 2 balcony chair foot rest were broke and hard for a short person to use! Other than that the pool and splash pad area was super clean and the views were spot on! Thank you for a great time!

Great unit for a family of four. Wish that the listing had been more clear on the washer and dryer situation. Should have been listed as community. Wish we had known before booking. Also, while we loved the idea of the pvc outdoor furniture, the chairs were both broken and my six year old fell when trying to get in the chair. Everything else was very pleasant.

We had a great time staying here! There is just a few small things that would have made it better. Having a few hooks on the walls in the bathrooms to hang face cloths on as the vanities are to small to put them on. Also in the shower have a curved rod to give you more space. You can buy these at Walmart, Biglots etc. for a pretty cheap price. One other thing, while the fridge was very clean, the outside of it appears dirty. A little bit of white paint would make it look much better. These are all simple cheap fixes that would enhance our stay. Overall we loved the unit and look forward to staying here again! 😀

Black mold

This condo has black mold in ceiling. My husband still can\'t breathe good! My son also experienced breathing issues with this stay. My husband is disabled so I hope he has no long term effects! We will not rent this condo again. Was told at check in since we have a handicap tag to park in handicap and put overflow parking tag in window. We received notices everyday! How do you park in overflow if your disabled??????? We had 2 vehicles!

Was not made aware the pool was closed, construction was going on at the property, painting being done at property. Room was definitely low budget/half updated. Condo smells like mildew/mold. Cabinets peeling, fridge is rusty, rug was disgusting and stuck to your feet, baseboards look like they was done by some shade tree handyman, bed was way oversized for the room size not to mention every time you moved the headboard hit the wall so I stuffed the spare blanket behind it, mattress was a bit hard, hung over the base of the bed, couch would squeak if you moved while sitting on it. Door lock on wall was not useable, framing around lock was busted and had clear silicon on it to hold it together. Definitely will keep driving past it the next visit.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was nice. The lady in the store was super friendly and kind. She really made our day the day we checked in. During our stay we observed some of your areas of strength as well as areas you could stand to strengthen: The view of the beach from our unit was breathtaking and relaxing. We also loved the 24 hour beach access. Our unit had a few areas where the floor has an awkward squeak due to lack of mud/adhesive underneath. The indoor pool could use some TLC. That whole area just looks and smells nasty. On day one, there was a giant cockroach in there. My husband got it out using the pool net so people didn’t have to see that and be grossed out by it. We did not get in during our entire eight day stay! The carpeted hallways could use some plug-in air fresheners or perhaps just remove all the carpet because it retains odors. To maintain the beauty, freshness, cleanliness, and the overall appeal of the lobby, guests should be encouraged to dry off completely before entering from the pools. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we just might return in the future, though we would prefer an overall five star experience. If you are diligent to make the suggested improvements, five stars belong to you. Thanks for everything!
