COVID-19 Approved - This is a one bedroom modern, luxury apartment with 10ft ceilings and modern furniture. It's equipped with a full kitchen, granite countertops, subway tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances. Comes with a TV in the living room equipped with Hulu, Netflix and wifi. King bed is a tempurpedic with an adjustable base. There is one full size, bathroom and closet. The sofa is also a sleeper as well. Property includes a pool and gym along with free street parking only.

The space
This place has been disinfected top to bottom for each stay and is COVID-19 approved. My place is new and modern chic. My unit has close access to the park. The complex is right on the Riverwalk.

There is a $45 pet fee per stay. Maximum 1 pet.

Other things to note
This rental is in a residential apartment community. As such, the employees
in the leasing office are not equipped to help with check-in procedures. Please contact us directly for any questions during your stay.

Property owner is a scammer. They have repeatedly charged people for pet hair when there was none. It's a simple small fee that she charges after the stay. She has fake pictures and all. Because of the low amount she expects that no fight will be put up. VRBO and Expedia are worthless in helping. By the time you've paid all the fees and dodged all the fraud and hidden tricks, staying at hotel chains are the only way to go.

Overall ok

It was loud, much noise at night. If you like dark rooms this bedroom is not. Sun beams really bright in the morning. The carpet in living room is filthy, there were stains the tenant was trying to make me pay to get cleaned with a special cleaning machine. Also made me put the sheets and towels in the washer and take trash out. I thought that’s why we’re getting charged a cleaning fee so someone does that. Overall good enough to just sleep and shower. It’s also quite a walk to the river walk/downtown especially with children. The parking is a headache as well.

A mixed bag

I'm a solo female traveller and often workcation in different locations. I chose this property because of the location. It is very walkable to a lot of popular spots in downtown San Antonio. There are also ebikes & scooters readily available nearby if you prefer. The apartment itself is on the back side of the apartment complex, close to Ave B. There are no Riverwalk views or balcony directly attached. Your view is a parking garage. The apartment complex does have shared balconies on every floor if you want to sit outside and see the river, plus the pool is on the Riverwalk side. Because of the proximity to Ave B, the VFW, and El Camino, there was noise almost constantly. Bring earplugs or a white noise machine if you intend to sleep. The inside of the unit was clean and had most of what I needed for a long term stay. The addition of a toaster would be great, but that might just be a personal preference. The in unit washer & dryer was a plus too since I was there for about 4 weeks. The apartment complex does have an attached parking garage. However, this unit does not include a parking spot in the garage. It is all (free) street parking which proved challenging depending on the time of day/night I tried to park. I mostly left my car parked & walked places or had local friends pick me up. The check in process and communication with the host could be improved. The check-in instructions were missing what I would consider the most important step (or at least an arrow). I even had a friend come try to get the key/lock to work with no success. Due to delays with the host replying to messages, I ended up staying in a hotel the first night. The next day, the host did send someone to assist me, but didn't inform there would be an additional charge for the assistance until after I checked out. This was really disappointing. Overall, if you're coming to SATX for a short stay and just need a place to crash for a few nights, this might work for you. If you plan to stay a little longer or get good sleep, shop around for something else.

Nightmare

Property is cute modern -high end apartment unit. However you can hear neighbors walking above & flushing toilet. You can also hear street noise from river walk. Horrible communication with the host. I had to ask for check in procedure after I arrived after 4 pm. I was confused about parking & texted host several times about it for clarification & she never responded about the parking / garage, even after text her that I had found the apartment parking garage. I use VRBO a lot & most rentals have great check-in & check our procedures & communication from host. They usually are more than helpful to clear up any questions. Had this host simply responded to my inquiry of the apartment parking garage & told me not to park there, I would have moved my car elsewhere immediately. Street parking was a nightmare due to Pride celebration on the Riverwalk. My car was towed from the apartment parking garage for the VRBO apartment complex. The uber ride to tow lot and tow fee cost more than the VRBO rental itself. Host refuses to do anything more to make this right. Worst VRBO Host experience ever.

It was great having a home away from right on the Riverwalk. The residence of the apartment community was friendly and entertainment and restaurants were walking distance.

Not clean

My husband and I showed up back in and the bed wasn’t made, the apartment was dirty, trash in waste basket, etc. Our trip was back in February. I contacted manager and let her know it wasn’t acceptable and she said she would refund my money. I have contacted her many times and still no refund. I would not recommend this place.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute condo! Perfect for a couple’s stay. The building has a fresh, comfortable vibe to it. Plus, it’s along the river!!! Loved it and will definitely be back !

Not treated as a guest

I have rented through VRBO with this host at a different property last October and while there were communication issues everything turned out ok. I thought this would be a fair experience. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The check in process was fine. The property was in a large apartment complex that was overall well maintained. I found the VRBO unit easily and excellent instructions were provided. I did think it was odd that there were no tissues, no paper towels, no body wash or face soap in the bathroom. I also noticed there were no towels in the bathroom although the host had assured me the unit was ready for me. I had been in Houston for a week prior and wanted get my clothes washed. To my surprise the washer was completely filled with laundry including a comforter that was starting to dry out. The dryer was also filled with a comforter and many towels. I had to fold and put away the laundry and complete the drying of the second load and then fold and put those away as well. I don't think a guest should have to do that. I then couldn't find any utensils and finally found them in the dishwasher that was filled to capacity with dirty dishes. I added the soap and started the wash cycle. Then put away the dishes so that I could use them during my stay. I contacted the property manager to let her know, however, she has yet to respond to me. This is unfortunate and the reason I gave a low rating. Poor communication and the unit was not at all ready in fact required me to do the property managers job. I won't rent from this host again.

Nice one bedroom apartment.

Nice clean apartment with a pool right on the river walk. Felt safe, very quiet even during Fiesta San Antonio. Short walk to downtown. Parking on the street was sometimes difficult but that was because of the Fiesta. The Tempurpedic king bed was super comfortable. The oldest VFW in Texas is right behind the apartment and it is a historic landmark! This was a great deal for the location and amenities.

Clean, comfortable and convenient!

I stayed here with my fiancé for a weekend in San Antonio to celebrate a friend's wedding. It was very clean and comfortable! Great location, with a short walk to the Pearl and an easy Uber ride downtown. Would definitely recommend!

Owner Completely Unresponsive

We booked this property on a Tuesday for a Sunday arrival. We requested check in instructions via message on Tuesday and Saturday. No Response. On Sunday, we called twice (two voicemails) and texted once. At 12:45 Sunday prior to a 4:00 checkin, we called vrbo to initiate a case. Vrbo also tried to contact her, with no luck. We made other arrangements and requested a refund. At 2:31 Sunday, she sent the checkin instructions. We responded that we hadn't been able to reach her and would not be staying at her property. The next day, she told us the checkin instructions were part of the reservation - they were not (and vrbo confirmed). 1.5 hours before checkin on a day you're traveling with a 6 year old (with zero response before) is not reasonable. Vrbo will not refund our money.

Amazing Location And Property

The location of this property could not have been better. It is located on an extension of the San Antonio Riverwalk. Upscale restaurants, and clubs are in walking distance. The apartment building is new, clean, and modern. Good points about this rental: (a) Modern appliances, all work great, and were clean. (b) Temperature control system was quiet, and easy. (c) No cable, but several apps available(Netflix, Youtube, etc.), on the 42"inch flat screen. (d) King Size Tempur-Pedic was great, clean, and comfortable. Negatives: (1) Host was unresponsive, late with entry instructions. (2) Street parking only, no reserved as far as I could tell. (3)Tub was not very clean, showerhead sprays everywhere. (4) Bring your own body soap, dish soap, and paper towels.

Minimal necessities and rude host

There was minimal basic necessities including only half a roll of toilet paper. Had to buy more ourselves. Had to message day of for check in instructions, added to stress of traveling. After check out, host became extremely rude accusing us of bringing a dog onto the property because of stray dog hairs they had found. Anyone that has an animal knows they shed and those hairs can transfer from clothes/blankets to other surfaces. Explained this to her and in return received pictures of the few dog hairs and no further communication. The place it self was clean and in a good area, however, host was not up to standards.
