Welcome to Sunshine Villa! Sunshine Villa is a four-bedroom, three-bathroom, two-story villa nestled in Pier 9 Bungalows. Located in picturesque Union Pier, this lovely home has so much to offer, including a convenient locale just walking distance from the beach. As you enter the first floor, you are welcomed by a dining area, a full kitchen, and a living area area. You'll also find a bedroom with a twin-size trundle and a full bathroom, easily accessible by guests. The second floor enjoys the main bedroom with a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom, and a private balcony. There is also a bedroom with a queen bed and a bedroom with a bunk, both sharing a full bath with plenty of space for families. The outdoor firepit and sitting area is a welcome accommodation for enjoying those beautiful summer nights. Beach access is just a few short blocks away, making it convenient even for families to walk to the beach. Please note that the owner has a cat and a non-shedding dog. The guest is allowed one non-shedding dog under 20 lbs.

The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Very nice property but does need some repairs. The upper deck floor boards are rotted through in places and I thought it unsafe to use.

Spacious residence for 9 people. Provided cart, umbrella, chairs and sand toys. Nice having a fire pit. Plenty of hangers in closets. Hooks in bedrooms and various locations in the residence to hang jackets, hats and beach bags, etc. Communication with manager was polite and prompt with any request needed. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Property is large and easy walk to Miller Beach. Close to restaurant, ice cream, and little grocer. Appreciate access to community Pool. Would be a 5 star property for family stay if better maintained and price had not increased significantly. Have stayed at this property 2 times in past couple years. Cost went up significantly this stay. Several things were broken and house needs more thorough cleaning/maintenance. Property management was very responsive but could not fix gas grill to use during stay. White couch cover very stained and our feet were black from walking on floors.

Will definitely go back. We went with our family. It is a nice walk to a beautiful beach. The pool is great. The house has everything you need. It’s walkable to restaurants, bakery, gelato. Short drive to the grocery store. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Blocks from the beach!

Very comfortable house, comfortable bed, great wifi. Union Pier is quiet this time of year but the area is very nice. We took Amtrak from St Joseph to downtown Chicago - super convenient!

Everything was very nice. It was odd that there were no mattress pads on the beds upstairs. Also the master bath shower head needs to be cleaned.

Great home set up and a 10 min walk to pretty beach

This town house was set up well for family and friends to enjoy Michigan together. The primary bedroom is large with a king bed and an ensuite bath. The other 2 bedrooms on the second floor include bunk beds with a trundle then another room with a queen bed. The shared 2nd floor bath is good for children. And the 4th bed on the first floor is a twin with a trundle. The full bath on the first floor makes this a great guest room for teens or older guests who cannot navigate stairs well. The kitchen is well appointed and the beach is a 10 min leisurely walk away from the house. For our stay the tv remote wasn’t working well but it wasn’t missed as the teens still found a way to cast to it from their laptops.

Wonderful Vacation

Our families came together for the holiday and was the perfect space. Enough room for everyone and great outdoor space. Close to the beach and just down the street to grocery store, coffee and donuts! Onsite pool was great for days when carrying all the kids toys to the beach was too much! Highly recommend!

Magnificent weekend in Union Pier

This home was perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood but still walking distance to restaurants and the beach. The rooms were well-appointed, the main kitchen and living area was spacious and open. We will be back!

Great location

This is a really nice property with plenty of space for a family. The location is perfect - a couple blocks from a nice, clean, quiet beach and steps from the community pool that was never too crowded. Just around the corner is a cute market store with all the necessities, a great little bakery, and quaint ice cream shop (we were there daily for one thing or another!). The townhouse community is charming and quiet, perfect for families and couples. There were a couple of issues upon entering the home, all of which were promptly and thoughtfully addressed by the property management team. Ant traps were present upon arrival, and we certainly noticed the issue throughout our stay. I would recommend a thorough extermination, if possible. Minor problems aside, we would absolutely stay in this home again. We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed staying here.

Great vacation spot!

We had a great time at this property! It could have used a few more dish towels and communication with the rental company went just ok. But, it is a great location and you can’t beat the easy walk to the beach, ice cream shop, and market along with the great pool.

Great space and location

This is my second stay in this unit. The space works well for my family, and the location a few steps from the pool, and an easy half mile to Miller Beach is perfect. A well stocked convenience store within easy walking distance was a nice bonus. The outdoor area is wonderful as well, and we enjoyed the fire-pit in the evenings. Likely due to constant use and limited opportunity for cleaning between engagements, the unit is looking a bit worse for wear, e.g. sofa slipcovers need a wash, carpet on staircase badly in need of cleaning. Llighting over the kitchen island was so dishearteningly grimy, we decided to clean them ourselves (and it made a huge difference.) Some necessaries are overlooked, i.e. Silverware was almost non existent, with only 5 or so forks and no butter knives, no trash can in bathroom, very few hangers in the 1st floor closet, no discernible top sheet / blanket for the trundle bed in 1st floor bedroom, front door lock / handle loose (the handy people in our group attempted to fix this and achieved minor improvements.) I should note that management delivered additional forks and butter knives, as well as a trash can for the bath -- good response on that aspect. All these issues have easy remedies, which I hope for. It's a nice property, the pool is delightful, the beach is gorgeous at sunset, firepit is delightful. NOTE: If you have toddlers, the back yard is only partially fenced, so wandering children need to be monitored. Also, the 1st floor bedroom does not have a closet IN the bedroom, though there is one nearby.

Home and pictures were described!

Everyone loved the house, it was clean, modern, spacious and updated. We weren't able to use the pool because it wasn't open. The beach was like a 12min walk. The only suggestion I would say is that we wished the downstairs bedroom would be a queen size bed.
