“The Makahuena” is located on the southernmost point of Kauai. This unique oceanside resort is situated on the edge of a bluff providing spectacular coastal views. This 2-bd/2-ba is a single-level condo on the second story of the building, walking up stairs is required. Primary bedroom is furnished with California king size bed and ensuite bathroom, guest bedroom has two twin size beds (can be converted to king bed if requested in advance), full guest bathroom with shower/tub combo. Kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, Sapele Mahogany cabinets, and stainless steel appliances. You will find a portable A/C in guest bedroom and living room to make your stay more comfortable. ***Construction Notice: There is active construction occurring on the neighboring property, and may cause noise or partial obstruction to the existing island and ocean views. Rental rates have already been adjusted to reflect a competitive rate.***

Was the perfect place!

We loved our stay and the unit was great! Spacious, clean, a great ocean view with only a 10 min walk to the beach! It came with all of the amentities we needed and more! The property manager was great and the only thing we contacted him/her about was the TV and they fixed it right away! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Southernmost Point of Kauai

Great condo close to Poipu Beach! We were able to see turtles on the beach each evening/morning. Complex has a nice path along the coastal cliff to watch the waves crash and turtles swim by. Would happily stay here again. Thx for sharing the unit with us!

Quite place with great views

Stayed for a long weekend and the place was everything we needed. The apartment was clean and had all the essentials we needed for our stay. The property was easy to access and had ample parking. Great location, AC not sufficient

Nice location close to Poipu beach and with a nice balcony overlooking the ocean. We were there in the summer and the AC (two portable units) was undersized. The unit (especially the master) felt warmer than the outside, even with the AC running. I was very warm at night which made it difficult to sleep. They could just have put a couple of floor fans in or an AC in the master, which I see a few other people have already commented on.

Great Place in Poipu

This was a fantastic property, ideally situated in town that provided a great home base for the trip. The unit is clean, has all the necessary trappings of home and has a peaceful view of the nearby ocean. Our family of 4 was very comfortable and would happily stay here again.
