The Makahuena never disappoints! Peaceful environment, super clean and accommodating rooms, and absolutely beautiful views! I stayed here for 10 days in 2019 and had the best time ever. When my friends and I decided to plan our next trip to Kauai in 2025, I suggested we come back to the Makahuena and I'm so glad we did. Can't wait to come back!

The host was helpful. And the condo was well stocked with necessary items. The condo was about a "C" rating - it is beginning to show its age and the whole unit needs to be refreshed - especially the woodwork. The shower curtain on the half-bath/laundry room in lieu of a broken pocket door was a non-starter for me. The sheets, while clean and serviceable are getting pretty thin.

Large Beautiful Condo

This beautiful condo has a beautiful easterly view of the Pacific. It was wonderful to sit on the balcony with a cocktail and watch the ocean. The complex has a wonderful view and a popular place with benches to watch the sunset. It is conveniently located to all activities on the southern shore and about an hours drive to Waimea Canyon. Breathtaking!

Clean, well-stocked unit. No issues with check-in. Pool and pool area was clean, not crowded. Beds were comfortable. Nice size TV with lots of options. Would stay here again.

This is a very spacious condo located in a resort right on the coast. You can walk to the shore and enjoy a nice sunset on the breaking waves.

Amazing stay, highly recommend

This place was stunning! So much space, great location and amazing view! The host was also flexible with check in and out times which really helped us. The pool is perfect and it was incredible being able to listen to the ocean at night. Highly recommend!

Great location! Definitely recommend

This was a great condo with beautiful views. The area is being developed, so it's not clear how long the views will be nice, but the property is great and while a bit aged (older appliances) the beds were comfortable and the shower was very nice. It's not easy to find a reasonably priced property in Poipu, and this property fits the bill!

Stay at Makahuena 4305

Such a lovely and well maintained property. The host went above and beyond by sharing a few welcome treats which was so appreciated after a long travel day. The beds were comfortable and linens were plentiful. They provided lots of beach accessories too.

Great Condo

We stayed Dec 2023 for 5 nights and it was very nice. Clean, full kitchen, 3 bathrooms for 4 adults was a plus as was the washer and dryer. We didn’t have great weather to enjoy the balcony but liked having it just the same. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great Spot!

This was a very nice condo and a perfect area. We were minutes away from our dinners at the Grand Hyatt and minutes away from our favorite beaches, including Poipu. It was a nice and clean spot, and we would definitely stay here again. The construction didn’t bother us, but we usually spent all day at the beach and the workers were gone by the time we would get back from dinner. Easy check in and we were happy.

Just Chilling Out

This condo was better than anticipated! Everything about it was comfortable! The kitchen was easy to use. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful with luxury bedding. It was so nice having laundry facilities. Would definitely rent again!

Spacious & comfy condo near great beaches

We had a great stay here during our honeymoon! The condo was stocked with anything we would need in the kitchen & with items for the beach (chairs, towels, goggles) which was awesome.The check in and check out process was super easy. The only negative was that the view of the water from the deck was not as close as the listing pictures seemed, however it was still gorgeous and we would return!

Beautiful Spot

We had an excellent stay here! The condo is equipped with everything you could need for a vacation! They had boogie boards, snorkels, beach towels, coolers... kitchen was fully stocked with all things to cook with. The only trouble we had is the door handle is tricky. We would stay here again!!
