Aruba for Spring Break

The best thing about this house is it’s location! Easy access to beaches nearby and close to everything! Small island helps! The house needs some TLC but everything works and is clean. Our family spent hours in pool area! Very good communication with host and helpful hints! Very personal❤️

Great stay

We had a total of 12 persons. Completely comfortable. The en-suite bathrooms were perfect. The pool was wonderful and we used it everyday even though we were at the beach everyday. For 12 people we were very glad to rent the pool house apartment as well. Ms Anneke was easy to reach if something was needed (Although the only thing we needed was the waterfall on pool to be turned on. One call and like magic it was working!!) Don’t forget to generously tip the housekeeper. She did a fantastic job ! Location was perfect too. You will love it.

Fantastic Property & Location

We had five couples staying together to celebrate a 50th birthday celebration. We wanted a house where every couple got a nice room and we had plenty of hangout space - meals, private pool/patio, etc. We also wanted something near the beach, beach bars, shopping, etc. This house was perfect - delivering on all fronts!!!The house was great - clean w plenty of space and great rooms/bathrooms for everyone. Nice kitchen, family room hangout space, front patio with view of ocean across the street. BUT the backyard pool oasis was PHENOMENAL! It was the perfect hangout between activities - plenty of seats in the shade or sun, plus a great pool. Loved it!!!!We also struck gold on location. We were a mile from the hotel beaches/bars/shopping - which we sometimes walked & sometimes grabbed a cab for. We could also walk 10-20 min the other direction to hit smaller beaches and the beach bar near the lighthouse. We were worried about not having a car but it worked out just fine. (We did do a group tour & UTV tour of island - both picked us up at the house). We thought that went better than if we were to explore on our own….And my last comment is on the awesome property manager - she was friendly, super responsive, and gave us good info! Loved it.

Loved the house and location!

First, we loved our stay and didn’t want to leave! Second, the house is in a great location and in December the sun sets right across from the house. Malmok beach is small and private and 4 houses down to the right. The snorkeling is great there and cruise ships bring their people there to snorkel but they’re only there 30 mins in the morning and again in the afternoon. It didn’t interfere at all. The house worked perfectly for us and minor issues were handled immediately. Note that the cabana has 1.5 baths. Elianna, the housekeeper, was super and kept us organized. The kitchen could use sharper knives and more serving dishes but it was otherwise adequately supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, cabana, and deck. It felt like a mini resort. We will definitely rent this house again!

Pros: great location, house is large enough for a big crowd, bedrooms are large, showers work pretty well, pool and outdoor area is expansive, AC & WiFi work well, housekeeper was great. Cons: the house desperately needs multiple repairs & updates. Kitchen drawers don't open without major force, very few usable drinking glasses and mugs, master bedroom ceiling leaks, some light switches are falling out of the walls, several outdoor lounge chairs are broken, upstairs front deck for sunset viewing is rickety, steps are dangerous and the furniture is either broken or falling apart. It's a shame that the owners don't seem to want to invest any money in upkeep and it shows.

Great property with a few blemishes

Overall, the property was fantastic, the grounds were clean and the pool wonderful. Note, the waterfall in the pool did not work. The house itself was clean and the bathrooms were modern and stylish. And, more importantly, the air conditioning kept the entire house and pool house very comfortable. The reason I gave the property a 4 star instead of 5 is that the house is due for an update. The furniture, while clean and functional is showing wear. Likewise, the kitchen drawers' sliding mechanisms need new hardware. Finally, there is peeling paint on some ceilings. On the plus side, all the kitchen appliances are working and in good shape as is the outside gas grill. Overall the property is great but not perfect. But would I return...absolutely.

Could have been better.

Arrival at the property set the tone for our week. Forget about getting in touch with your agent, Anneke. She did not answer her phone for several hours while we baked outside awaiting keys to enter the house. The maid had not yet cleaned up from the previous leaser, and informed us that she was told we were arriving the following day. The roof leaked in 3-4 rooms, and the kid’s fell a few times on the slippery wet tiles. Our luggage did get soaked. Did you know boa constrictors are an invasive species in Aruba? One died in a bush in front of the home and it wreaked of death for the rest of the stay. We tried several modalities to contact Anneke, for some help, and she ignored my emails, texts, and calls. The house, albeit a bit dated, was nice enough. Clean furniture, nice pool, good location otherwise. Mattresses a bit firm. I think we overpaid. On a brighter note, the power did go out one night, and the supplied board games did allow for an escape. Glad I brought a battery operated lantern.

Family Thanksgiving in Aruba!

Aruba Villa 500 was our home for a glorious week. Located a short drive from Palm and Eagle beaches, our family of nine adults and three children, enjoyed Malmok Beach area tremendously. Bring your own snorkel gear and walk into the water just a bit north of the villa to swim with lots of fish! The kids loved the private pool and the resident bright green iguana. There was plenty of room for all with 4 bedrooms/baths in the main house and 2 additional bedrooms/baths in the pool house. The rooftop deck has a beautiful sunset view, but could use a little TLC. The bedrooms/baths, living area and kitchen were terrific. Televisions, WIFI, beach towels, and all the comforts of home kept everyone happy. We loved Michelle’s home chef service! Our family was thrilled with the breakfasts and dinner that Michelle prepared for us. This is an additional arrangement that we enjoyed! Driving to any destination was easy from Malmock. Download the Maps.me app for offline map of Aruba, it worked! Thank you for your management of this villa.

Awesome Beachfront Property

Great property in the perfect location across from the beach. The house was perfect. We had four couples and we were extremely comfortable. 6 bedrooms with bathrooms. Great living room to hang out in. The pool and backyard are beautiful with plenty of places to hang and relax! Marrit is super friendly and extremely helpful with any questions. The house was well stocked with cooking supplies, pots and pans and dishes, towels, sundries, and essentials. Cleaning service came twice during our stay. Definitely will stay here again. Great place for family or friends and very reasonably priced! Thanks Anneke and Marrit for the perfect stay for our Aruba trip! See you soon!

Very Happy Home on a Very Happy Island

We spent Thanksgiving week at this property. We couldn't have been more pleased! The home was beautiful! There were 8 adults and plenty of room for everyone! The rooms were very comfortable and each couple hand their own bathroom. The kitchen was well appointed - everything we needed was available. The grounds and the pool were amazing! No need to leave this paradise! But! It's also perfectly located - hotels, restaurants and popular beaches to the left and less populated beaches and lighthouse to the right. If you don't want to drive anywhere - walk right across the street to snorkel! We are already planning our next trip to the same spot!

Enjoyable Stay

The rental process was very good. Anneke was responsive to all my questions and provided all the necessary information. The house & property were gorgeous however there was evidence of termites in the kitchen ceiling which was quite unpleasant considering the amount we paid. There were 10 adults in our group. When we arrived at the house, we were unable to enter due to the owner having been there which prevented the housekeeper from having access to prepare the house for our arrival. She was rushing around trying to get everything ready for us. I thought that was pretty inconsiderate of the owner. Marina who works with Anneke was available to answer all our questions. All in all we had a great time in Aruba!!

Great house with a beautiful view!

We had a group of 9 people that recently stayed at Aruba Villa 500 and had a wonderful vacation! The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of space for each couple to have their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The pool area was beautiful with options for those that wanted to be in the sun or the shade - and they have a great sound system for listening to your own music. The location of this house is great! We were able to walk up the beach to Arashi and down the beach to Eagle Beach. Good snorkeling within walking distance of the house! Watching the sun set from the upper deck was amazing! Anneke was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was very prompt answering all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed prior to our arrival. She checked in with us during our stay to make sure there weren't any issues. The housekeeper came several times during the week - she did an awesome job and was also very nice to meet. I would highly recommend this house for your next vacation in Aruba. I would also highly recommend working with Anneke if you are looking for other options. She recommended this house for us and it was perfect!

Amazing property-suitable for large groups

Our four generation family had a wonderful vacation in Aruba staying at this lovely property. We had 11 adults and a toddler and made many happy memories together. There were bedrooms and baths for, lots of space in the open living/kitchen area, a pool house with two bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area had room for everyone. The pool area was beautifully landscaped and all enclosed which gave us lots of privacy and a place to play. We would recommend Aruba 500 for large groups. Aruba is beautiful! We hope to return.

Aruba Villa 500 - Fantastic!

Villa 500 is the perfect vacation home for your family or larger group. We had the pleasure of staying at the house from 30 Dec 2017 through 6 Jan 2018. Our family of nine (4 couples and 1 toddler) was able to relax and set up “base camp” for the week. The house has absolutely everything you could want or hope for. The home is spacious and well appointed. Large open family room, dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms provided the privacy you want. One of the couples stayed in the pool house and said they’d come back and rent just that. The outdoor space made it feel like you were staying at a resort. There is a beautiful pool, seating, veranda, and outdoor kitchen area. There is a front porch area to have morning coffee while looking across the street at the beach. Never mind the 2nd floor rooftop deck that was perfect for nightly sunsets over the water. Beach chairs and towels made it easy to load up the crew and head to the various beaches across the island. The house was so welcoming that you actually looked forward to coming home and kicking back and relaxing in the backyard. There was a daily cleaning service that did towels, helped with laundry and kept the house nice and tidy. Anneke was a wonderful home caretaker who was very helpful with any questions you had or suggestions for island activities. At to top it all off our daughter got engaged that week right across the street on the beach at sunset. We can’t say enough about the memorable vacation we had. Jim and Risa Ellis

Great house for large groups

First class service all the way from Anneke and her team. House was great, plenty of room for large families and groups. We had 7 adults and 5 kids from 2-11 in our group. Kitchen was fully stocked and we took advantage of eating in most mornings for breakfast and two nights for dinner. Pool area was roomy and private. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a rental with lots of room and bedrooms.

Your own private tropical resort!

My wife and I visited Aruba last year and loved Aruba so much, we decided to take our four grown children (all in their 30's) and their significant-others to Aruba for a family vacation this year. We debated on whether to stay in a High-Rise Hotel Resort again or to rent a house. We are so glad we decided to stay at this house. We rented both the main house and the guest house. The place is huge and the back yard and pool are wonderful. It's even better than the pictures show. The bedrooms and living rooms were very spacious, and each of our five couples had their own bedrooms & bathrooms. The backyard and pool area is just as nice as any resort, and we had it all to ourselves. You can connect your smartphone or tablet to the stereo system to listen to your own music both inside and out. The saltwater pool is a great place to hang-out after a long day of snorkeling, shopping, or touring. The landscape lighting, pool lights, outdoor music, and waterfall turn the backyard into your own private tropical oasis. There are just so many great areas around this house to relax and hang out. You can watch the sunset over the ocean from the rooftop veranda, relax in the gazebo, chat under the pergola, lay by the pool, sit on the front porch, or hang-out in the living room. You can walk out to the ocean, where you can swim, snorkel, or just walk along the beach. Anneke Gorter was so helpful both before and during out trip. She always answered our emails and phone calls before & during the trip. She met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house. Vanessa, the housekeeper, cleaned the house & washes the towels every day except Sunday. She even washed our dirty clothes. They provide towels, beach towels, and necessities such as shampoo, soap, hair dryers, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags. The house has two safes to store your valuables in. They provide free WiFi and a house phone for free local calls. This house is a great place to stay while in Aruba. The only slightly negative thing about the house is that it has firm beds. Other than that, it was awesome! Best family vacation ever!

A little slice of paradise

I had been looking forward to this vacation for almost a year on the recommendation of a friend. From the moment I reached out to Anneke, I was never disappointed. When the 8 of us walked in the door, we couldn't wait to enjoy every inch of this property. It is spacious, clean and comfortable. Our mornings were spent out by the pool with our coffee drinking up the Aruba sunshine. In the afternoon we headed out to enjoy the island beaches, food and shopping. We would come back tired and full and would end up back out by the pool re-living our day. This property is exactly as you see on the website. There are no surprises and that is what I loved. I hesitate to recommend this property for only one reason....I don't want to share this piece of paradise!!!! Thank you Anneke, you have given us wonderful memories.

Great place to call home in Aruba

Beautiful pool and large back yard. We had a group of 3 couples. Plenty of bedroom & bathroom space with all the amenities you would want. Right across the street from a good snorkeling area. Close enough to the high rises to take advantage of restaurants, casinos etc. but in a peaceful area. Anneke and her team were very responsive when we called them. More amenities than listed on their website (housekeeping every other day, beach towels available). Upper deck a great place to watch sunsets. Would definitely recommend Arubavilla 500 and would stay here again. Sunset cruise with Red Sail was great. Ate at Bingos, Italian restaurant at the California lighthouse and Smokey Joes. All good food. Snorkeling at Baby Beach is a must.

Paradise away from home!

What a pleasant surprise to drive up to the house, walk in and find that what was shown on the web site was really true, better yet, the place is even nicer than in the pictures. We were a large group of 11 adults and one child and there was plenty of space for everyone. The house and grounds were clean and it was obvious the owners took loving care of their property, it felt like a home, not a rental property. Easy access to the beach, great snorkeling right in front of the house; no need to join a tour! The pool was clean and refreshing during those hot days! Plenty of shaded areas outside to get away from the sun. Maid service and pool cleaning were done during times where no one was bothered. Short drive to town and great restaurants; the lighthouse is only a few minutes drive away; but it's so pleasant at the house you might not want to leave. Great beach towels were provided so you don't need to bring your own. In short, I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great place to stay and relax and enjoy themselves. Anneke was wonderful, always available to answer any and all questions! We would definitely go back!!

Terrific Vacation

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful villa. It was a perfect location for our family vacation which included eight adults and four young children. Although the beach across the street was rocky, there were several sandy beaches close by. The property was clean and the staff was very accommodating. Anneke, the manager, was terrific and a great resource. We look forward to visiting again.
