The perfect experience

We absolutely loved our extended stay at Syrah Cottage. It was in the perfect location, steps away from the pool, hot tub and gym. The cottage had everything we needed, very well equipped, very comfortable. The resort is beautifully maintained. The grounds and maintenance staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this cottage .

Family trip at the cottage

The Syrah cottage was excellent. Great location to the pool and close to the beach/lake. The cottage was well equipped for entertaining. We travelled with our teenagers and my parents and there was lots to do to keep everyone entertained.

Perfect location!

My family and I booked this cottage last minute, and it exceeded our expectations! The location is literally one house away from the clubhouse/pool, a short walk to the beach, and has a large grassy back to enjoy. The property was spotless, all the dishes to cook and eat, bbq was a bonus, I could go on and on! We will def be making this a regular place to stay.

Great lakeside vacation in wine country

My family (wife, two young kids, and in-laws) thoroughly enjoyed a week's vacation at Syrah Cottage. The place was clean, spacious, and full of amenities. The location was great, very close to the pool (which my 3-year old loved) and the gym (which my wife loved). The beach was nice and the water warm. We are already planning our vacation here for next year.

Excellent Stay!

Fantastic location to beach, community center! Love the Cottages! We had a small issue and the property manager addressed the issue super fast and efficiently. Definitely will rent with them again. Just beware of some grumpy home owners…be mindful of where you walk in the backyard!

Spring Long-Term Stay

Excellent location, with easy, short drive to Oliver and Osoyoos. The complex is beautiful with very well maintained grounds, walking paths and a fenced dog park. Syrah Cottage is lovely, with comfortable and stylish furnishings. The outdoor patio was a little shady, which might be just perfect in the height of summer. We enjoyed it non the less. Our hosts were very attentive and really appreciated the extra communication to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We would recommend this property, and plan to visit again!

Great Month

Marlen was amazing to deal with. He was very attentive and always available. We loved our month at The Cottages, the residents were very friendly and welcoming; the facilities and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. We really enjoyed being able to walk down the street to work out in the gym every morning. Syrah Cottage was very nice and conveniently located in the community. The furniture is getting a little 'tired' and is therefore not super comfortable and the kitchen was lacking in utensils & plates.

Perfect for families

My husband and I just stayed with our two kids and fell in love with this spot. The home is perfectly laid out for families with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a kids room that includes bunk beds, a spacious screened in patio to keep bugs out and a shared green space to play lawn games and relax. The pool and faculties are all immaculately maintained. I love the vicinity to the wineries too. My only critique is that the patio table is a bit unstable and could be replaced and a few more chairs would be helpful for when there are more adults over. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Constructive feedback and comments

The property was beautiful and in a great location. The cottage was exactly as advertised and described. We did find the 5:00 check in time to be rather late and with a 10:00am checkout we basically Lost a full day. The cottage is rented to 6 people but all sitting areas only had 4 chairs. We found this to be a problem especially in the sunroom and outdoor patio as that is where we spent most of our time. We were very surprised and felt that it was not right that the rental did not include at least toilet paper to last for the week. Any other VRBO and other rental properties I have stayed included that. The only other comment I would make is that the floors were very dirty! All of this being said we would not hesitate to rent this unit again. We did do a number of loads of laundry this morning before we left as we were up early so most of the bedding and towels were washed and some dried. Thank you Leesa

Nice Lake Getaway!

Our family stayed at the cottage for a week. The house itself was very nice. However the property is a bit far from the town so make sure to come fully prepared with all groceries ect. The lake was very nice and had a small dog beach as well for our dog. All the houses are very close together so there is no privacy on your patio and some of the owners of the other cottages are a bit rude at times. However we did also meet some nice people as well. The host D’Arcy had good communication and allowed us a later check out time which was very helpful. Overall a good stay.
